Luis was very professional and a nice person. He took a look at my vehicle and damage done, we went back inside the shop, he entered information to his computer. The estimate was reasonable, but I could tell from the things he said, the job would be done correctly and thoroughly. We set up a date and time. On my way out Luis introduced me to the owner, Francisco. Also very professional and kind. The day came to drop off car, and a couple of days later the work was completed. Everything went just as they said. I was greeted by Francisco when I arrived to pick up my car. We discussed the completed task and everything looked great. The lowest listed price started at $999. I asked them why it did not match the online estimate. He said that online is " national" priced. That does not make any sense. I put in my zip code for the estimate. I already felt like it was a bait and switch to get me to come in. After he formally wrote up the lowest price estimate it was $1, 499. What happened to the $700 online, the $999 on the wall? That $1,499 price was including a 50 percent discount for being a return customer!!! The high estimate for better paint was $1, 844. But, the old saying you get what you pay for applies. I did the highest estimate. They are still the cheapest in town. It took 5 days to complete the paint job. The sales people were nice. The lobby really needs a complete make over even for a car place. I hope the paint lasts 5 yrs. That's how long the last paint job lasted.

They just jumped straight to "replace everything" like that was the only option instead of actually finding the root of the problem. I was even told I was missing a valve??? When I had it inspected by a much more capable shop, I clearly saw all my valves in my motor. They also wanted to replace both cams, yet when only ONE was replaced by their neighbor, my car runs perfectly fine. They really tried to upsell me into a full rebuild without proving anything was wrong. Then I took the same car to Euro Car Clinic, and the difference was insane. Euro Clinic actually tore the engine down, checked timing, checked compression, did a real bore scope, found the stretched chain, found the fuel pump leaking into the oil, replaced the right parts, and showed me every step with photos and updates. And the crazy part? I paid HALF of what this shop tried to charge me, and Euro Clinic actually fixed the car. Not to mention the difference in the invoices I'm honestly embarrassed to even show the comparison. This shop's invoice had zero photos, tons of misspelling, and looked completely unprofessional. Even when I called for weeks asking for photos, all I ever got was "oh it's on my phone, I'll send it right now," and I never received anything. This place wasted my time, my money, and my trust. After seeing what real professionalism looks like, I would never recommend them to anyone.

The gentleman on the phone said the transmission fluid is for life unless I'm towing or carrying heavy loads. When I questioned why I see that it's recommended online he says that dealers will recommend this service all day but if you check the Toyota maintenance manual it says you don't need it. Man! I haven't even been to this shop yet and I'm already getting a good feeling about this place. It's a bit more expensive for an oil change than other places that have quoted me, but I like that they use factory parts including Toyota oil filters. I'll update this review once I get the car in for my first visit. Stay tuned.... 6/29/26 - Brought my Sienna in for an oil change + complimentary 30-point inspection (since it was my first time there). Jared took the van for a spin, brought it back and lifted it up. They found a little oil seepage coming out of the transfer case. I let them know that I did see a transfer case drain/fill on the CarFax report before I bought it. Jared thinks they just didn't torque it properly so they were going to retorque and clean up around the area and keep an eye on it. Worst case scenario, they would need to order a new drain plug gasket and I'd have to come back to get it replaced. Thankfully, the drain plug just needed to get tightened. I was in and out in almost exactly an hour just as Robert promised. Thanks The Toy Shop team!! Pro Tip: they are booked out at least a week in advanced so make your appointment ASAP!

I had been here once before and had a great experience, so when my car's AT light went on…read moreunexpectedly one night I called them first thing the next morning to see if they could get it in. They said they could and gave me a timeline for working on the vehicle that matched my needs. While I appreciate them getting me in on short notice, they consistently over-promised and under-delivered on when they would be able to work on my vehicle. They were able to diagnose a couple of leaks that they thought were the problem and sent me photos to show me what they were looking at. In the past when I've left my car at this shop for work they sent over a detailed estimate before starting the work, but this time I only received the verbal estimate over the phone. I drive an old car, which isn't worth much, and I did let the person know that I wasn't interested in investing more in repairs than the vehicle is worth. As it was, the two leaks were just over $1K to fix, and I OK'd the work to begin. After fixing the first two leaks, they then came back and told me there was a third leak, which would require a more major repair to the transmission and they would have to have their transmission person (who wasn't there that weekend) send me an estimate the next day. While I understand that it's plausible that the third leak wasn't something they could have originally diagnosed, it felt a bit weird that the photo they used to show me the leak was one of the original photos they had sent before starting any work. If the leak was visible in that photo, I'm unclear why they couldn't have diagnosed it earlier. The added cost of this additional repair definitely tips the scales of worth-it/not-worth-it to repair vs replace this car, so I wish I had had all the information before deciding to make the initial repairs. Unfortunately, despite stabilizing the ATF level, fixing the leaks did not resolve the transmission issue. On a smaller scale, they didn't check or top up the tire pressure, which most mechanics I've gone to have done as a courtesy when working on my vehicle. The day after I picked up my car the tire pressure light went on, and when I checked my tires all four of them had low pressure. It's a small thing, but especially when dealing with expensive mechanical items like cars, the small things matter a lot in creating a sense of security and trust with your mechanic. They did mention that they were under new management since the last time I had been in, which may account for the different experiences.

My first time here I had a great chat with Joe and every time I visited since he remembered where I was from and asked how our other vehicle was. His son, Adam, was equally friendly and ran the shop really efficiently always taking the time to explain diagnosis, recommendations and show us parts that were replaced. Now, there is a gentlemen running the front desk called Augustine and all this has changed. Our vehicle was back in the shop for an on-going check engine light related to a leak in the evap system, Augustine called me to tell me they had diagnosed 3 separate sensors that were all faulty and needed replacing. 2 of these had already been replaced by this shop last year when this engine code first started. When I asked him to explain the 3rd sensor to me he was either unwilling to or unable to, I asked because it sounded very similar in name to one of the others and wanted to verify which one had already been replaced. I ended up having the other 2 replaced under warranty and plan to find another shop for our repair needs now. Additionally, when Augustine called me to let me know my vehicle was ready I asked what time they closed. He told me 4:30pm (despite their advertised hours saying 5:00pm). I left work early to drive my wife to the shop to collect the car, arriving at 4:25pm only for the shop to be locked up and no one there. When I asked Augustine about this the following say he said he thought I would probably be coming the following day and "it was getting late". I asked if it would be possible to speak with Adam and he told me that Adam doesn't work there anymore. I asked whether the shop had changed hands and he insisted that Joe is still in charge, although when I asked when it would be possible to talk to Joe I was told that he wasn't available and he just "randomly drops in". I'm sorry to see the customer service and professionalism decline at this shop but having older vehicles, we have to trust that the the mechanics working on our vehicles and the shops we take them to are giving us all the information and the correct information. It no longer feels that way at Joe's

They kept me for two hours, tried to align my car three different times, and even sent me off saying everything was good--only for my car to immediately pull hard to the right. After that disappointment, I went online to find another alignment shop and came across Trust Alignment in Long beach. From the moment I spoke with them, I felt reassured. I explained my situation, and they understood right away. They told me to come by, promised to check everything out, and even said they wouldn't charge me if they couldn't fix it. Sure enough, they did the job right and my car has never driven better. The difference is night and day. These guys really live up to their name. I truly trust them, and I'd recommend Trust Alignment to anyone who wants their car done right the first time.
