Food: 5/5 I didn't know "Kolache" was a thing here in Texas. As a California visitor- lol I learned today! They were so tasty. I bought sister and my dad the spicy, and I'd honestly get more. Their donuts were really good! The blueberry donut was my Personal favorite! It was crispy, not overly sweet, and baked just right! Price:5/5 For 6 donuts, and 2 kolache it was $14.00. Came here for the first time, decided to check out a new donut shop. Immediately, you can tell it's a small mom and pop shop. I came around the afternoon so my selections were limited, but still quite a bit to choose from. They knew right away that it was my first time there as theh have never seen my face before. It goes to show that they have their regulars. Anyways, I ordered half a dozen. Lady was friendly, greeted me and thanked me for coming. Donuts: They're beautifully handcrafted and soft. Melts in your mouth. I love the cinnamon sugared twists and I'm picky on my twists. Theirs were soft and moist, not dry or stale. Most donut shops open at 5 AM so by the time you're craving a 12 PM donut, everyone is dry or almost stale. Here, it was not. In fact, the old fashion chocolate dipped donut was still crispy on the edges! Soft and moist on the inside. And the BLUEBERRY DONUT....perfect crispy outside and packed with blueberry flavor. It's like the edges of a baked homemade cake. I loved it! Truly not disappointed at this place. It's a bit of a drive, but I'd rather come here for good quality donuts with friendly service. It's located in a small strip with about 2 other shops. It was clean inside even though it looks like they just had a delivery of supplies. The ambiance is inviting, but also like other local donut shops. They do have drinks for sale, but I only went for the donuts. My brother was visiting recently and he's a donut aficionado. We were driving by this place and his donut radar went off, so we pulled in and got a dozen mixed donuts. It's a small mom and pop business located in a strip mall off of FM-78, near Judson High School. And I'm partial to these kind of mom and pop establishments. The donuts were all tasty and reasonably priced. My favorite was the blueberry donut, but they were all delicious. I highly recommend and I will be back. read more

The owners of this location are what make it. They're super friendly and helpful and love to chat. We were in town visiting family and when they found out we weren't from the area, they were helpful and pointed out some dishes you just couldn't get back in Los Angeles while also asking us what brought us to the area and how long we were in town. They were also very humble/gracious when we told them that we were advised that they had some of the best doughnuts in town. Doughnuts were fresh and flavorful. Though, I will say the assortment was very very small. Based on what we heard from my sister-in-law, we must have caught them either at an off time or after the Sunday church crowd bought them out because usually they have a wonderful selection. Our kids were a bit sad they didn't have more sprinkle options, but they still didn't complain about the doughnuts they ended up getting. Nor did I. The shop is clearly designed for take out. They have a few seats if you wanted to eat there, but I don't know anyone who ever eats their doughnuts in the shop (they always say they're going to bring them home...then succumb to the smell and eat at least one in the car). So if, for whatever reason you're looking for a shop to buy and eat your doughnuts at, this isn't that shop. But I don't think that will be a downside for most people. It has been about a month since we came to M&M and I'm already looking forward to our next trip to visit our family so I can go back. read more

Searched "food nearby" and saw M&M Donut. The pictures looked so good, we just had to give it a try and it did not disappoint! Even though it was the afternoon, everything was still so soft and fresh. We got the kolaches and some donuts and it was even kid-approved (two of the pickiest eaters I know). I had never been here until May of 2020. I saw a post on social media saying this place had come on hard times because of COVID and they needed help. I've supported them ever since. They are local and mom and pop run and they couldn't be better. I get a big box of goodies to take to my mom at least once a month and they never last long. There isn't anything not good here. I don't know what the special secret is, but the ham-egg-cheese croissant is PERFECTION. The service is friendly, too. A total Yelpy local sole-proprietorship. I might should rate 5 stars, but: 1) I haven't tried it all and 2) I don't like [the type of] sausage, so all the beautiful-looking kolaches are lost on me, which kinda ticks me off because they look BEAUTIFUL (if I had my way, ham + cheese + jalapeno would be a standard kolache... at least in Texas).
