Nice little spot in a busy shopping center. When we arrived, there were nearly cleaned out, but there was a great assortment to choose from. We were greeted as we walked in and placed our order at the counter. Apple fritter, an homage to my Dad; the lemon filled donut, a plain cake donut and ham and cheese croissant (not pictured). The apple fritter is arguably the best I've ever had. I mean, sorry Original Donut Shop, but these are incredible. I was on cloud nine. The donuts at this location are absolutely delicious. my significant other is extremely extremely picky but his donuts he eats and he usually only likes donuts from H-E-B the twisty regular donut curler things are like the only ones that he'll even think about eating ever so I was shocked when I had brought some of these home as every now and then then I'll stop in since it's right next to My Mailbox that I go to and he demolished them so quickly at first I thought it was just me that they were delicious because I know, but I love donuts so for me to say they're good isn't really that big of a deal but for him to like them better than his H-E-B cinnamon stick crawler things he likes that tells me that they must be absolutely magnificent donuts because he's not into Shipleys. He's not into Krispy Kreme he doesn't like Dunkin' Donuts. None of that. Literally, he only will eat the H-E-B ones and now finally he will eat snowflake donuts as well. They also have drinks there and they also have kolaches. I sampled the kolache one time. It was pretty good. It was a solid kolache. I wouldn't say it was anything to write home about, but it was decent. It was worth the money that I paid for it. It was hot. I'm just not a big kolache fan. The only negative I have is the coffee there to me. it was a little bit like gas station coffee that's the only negative I have to be honest about so I usually go ahead and just spend the $2.75 or whatever it is for the nest quick chocolate milk because I have your coffee one time and I'm not a fan but they're donuts are really delicious and you could get like the powdered ones and have them filled with whatever filling you want and they'll fill it right there so you know it's fresh it hasn't been sitting around or anything super fresh donuts not a whole lot of sitting in there, but there's usually nobody sitting so nearly every time that I've wanted to sit, I've been able to go in there and sit down. I think there's only like two or three tables in the whole place, but it's more of a place where people take their donuts to go. The staff there is friendly very nice people and the only other downfall is kind of the location with the parking because it's right on the corner of Babcock and Hebner in that little shopping center, and I always hate going in or out of that shopping center because of the traffic right on the intersection there it's really hard to get in there sometimes or to get out for that matter, depending on the time of the day you're trying to get in or out but the business really can't do anything about that. I mean, locations location and it is what it is with that the place is clean the bathroom is clean. The prices are average what you'd expect to pay for a doughnut not super cheap not super expensive just kind of what you'd expect to pay for donuts and coffee, and I will say that I am a repeat customer because of the freshness, the food and the quality of the donuts both I think for sure beats Dunkin' Donuts and I've been to a lot of Dunkin' Donuts's coming from the East Coast and it blows them right out of the water as far as the glazed I do like Krispy Kreme a little bit better they're just a plain glazed donuts, but as far as any other type of donuts, any other type of donut I do like snowflakes best I like them better than shiftys or whatever that other donut conglomerate place is called (Shipleys i think), in my humble opinion the last negative that I just think that they should probably change is the name only because of the other meaning of the word snowflake and I guess just a generation generation thing that I don't really care for snowflakes very much or the word now so it is what it is with that too but they should probably call it. Just absolutely delicious donuts cause that's what they are. Absolutely delicious donuts so if you're in that area, you should definitely check them out. I drove over there Friday since I had seen good reviews about their cronuts. I really wanted to try a cronut and very few places offer them. I bought one with chocolate icing and brought it home to have with coffee. I started thinking that I probably wasted my gas and time going to this donut shop. I was thinking that it would be too sweet and that the bread would probably be dense. Luckily, I was wrong. The cronut was light and tasted so good. It was not to sweet either. It was wonderful! But the thing that pushed it over the edge for me was the egg rolls! OMG soooooooo good. I had a mild brisket and a boudin egg roll. They were so good I forgot to take a photo before I devoured them.
