Steak and egg on everything bagel
    Caryn K.

Wonderful bagel shop! This is a pick up and take your food to go sort of establishment. They have a wide variety of bagels and cream cheese flavors, all of which look delicious. They have cinnamon rolls on the weekend, but when I came by at 9am on a Sunday, they were already sold out, so come by early if you want one. They were pretty busy with over the phone/online orders and walk ins, so I found the wait time to be reasonable. My bagel sandwich was quite good! The egg was fluffy and the steak was thin and easy to eat in bagel form. The cheese was American and, had I asked, I would have left it out, but that was my fault for not inquiring. I will have to come back to grab a chocolate chip bagel and the French toast one. Those both sounded delicious, but I had no need for three bagels today :) They have a small assortment of refrigerated drinks and some bags of chips, in addition to the fresh made options. The brown butter chocolate chip cookies and bread pudding also looked delicious, but I held back this time. Overall a great place to grab a bagel!

For a bagel shop in SA, this spot is definitely a solid 4/5. Having moved from the east coast, the bagels here are really good! I got a lox and chive cream cheese on an everything bagel, which also included capers, red onion, and tomato. The sandwich totaled $13.80, which was a bit expensive in my opinion when the bagel itself seemed on the smaller side. (Think NYC pricing.) The bagel itself was fluffy, but didn't have the characteristic chew that I'm used to from NJ/NY bagels. I personally prefer Boss Bagel bagels over these bagels, but definitely try both to make your own judgment call. The wait wasn't long, but there are no tables inside if you want to eat here. There is however one table right outside if you get lucky. I'll be back next time I'm in the area and craving a bagel :)

This place has some pretty yummy bagels. They came out tasting fresh and flavorful. They also have an extremely good potato salad! The service is nice but this is a busy place, so it did take a while to receive our order. It's a bit pricey for what it is so I might recommend somewhere else just because of that. But overall this is a good place. The inside is kinda small but overall kept nicely organized and clean. Not much seating.

Good service, very quick, chill atmosphere. Lots of options and lots of flavors, first time here! Coffee is simple, but it feels very down to earth. Will be coming back soon!

I got here at 11am and a bunch of the bagels had sold out!!!! Get there earlier if at all possible.

One of San Antonio's not-so-hidden gems. Excellent east-coat style bagels (yes, I know they're from Chicago, eh, whadayya want?) and sandwiches. Great service, decent parking, but there's no ambiance besides 'general bakery' since it's strictly a to-go place. No worries, grab a dozen bagels and the lox cream cheese (a must!) and hit the road! Their lox sandwiches are also to die for. This place scores a 5 out of 5 on the 'CTJ Scale', as noted below. 5 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Jesus good. Would be OK passing away after finishing a plate here. 4 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Mary good. Would be OK having a nosh here with Mother Mary. 3 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Joseph good. Would be OK having a beer here with Jesus' Dad. 2 out of 5 stars: Come-to-the-Apostles good. Meh. Wouldn't have my last supper here. 1 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Nobody good. I wouldn't have my penultimate supper here, either.

Not sure what a Chicago deli feels like but I assume it's exactly this!!Got a bacon and egg on a cheddar jalapeño bagel and it did not disappoint. For the future I would definitely add a flavored cream cheese to it. But the bagel itself was one of the lightest I've ever had. They have many other baked goods and offer a bunch of other items. The lunch sandwiches and Chicago dogs had my attention. There is a small Waite for your order. Simply because they are busy and it's made to order. So worth it!

Perfection! This place is legit... I missed a good bagel so much and this place is better than boss bagel in my opinion. There was another place that closed down bubby's, it was nearby, and it was great too but bagels here are better. The bagel is just perfect. There is nothing else to add. It's perfect. and trust me I'm very picky, I know a good bagel. People who write here that they prefer panera bread bagels - you are idiots. You know nothing about good bagels. You might as well

I've never been to Chicago, but if this is what their food is like, I definitely need to go. A small deli that makes fresh bagels daily and delicious sandwiches. There's one table outside where you can enjoy your breakfast or lunch. Keep in mind they close at three each day & two on Sunday. My husband ordered the screaming cluck. It was served on a croissant and he got a side of coleslaw. . It was very delicious. You can't ever go wrong with croissant sandwich. I ordered the big Al's Reuben . I loved it, a nice hot sandwich with sauerkraut and gooey cheese. With a side of potato salad, delicious. The hot sandwiches are made fresh, but they're so worth the way.

What a gem, it may be small inside but don't be surprised to get quick honest service, hot delicious food, bagels that hit the spot, croissant sandwiches that melt your heart. It's not just the food, it's the people who care for you making it. This place gives that vibe that we are all beings sharing our love in a world full of pain. This gem made our day brighter, and came in for seconds right after.

If you are looking for some delicious homemade pastries and bread, you have come to the right spot!…read moreMy husband first mentioned to me that he knew of someone who made some amazing breads so I had to try it for myself! We ordered the everything bagel and jalapeno bagel, a loaf of sourdough bread, pretzel dogs and hand pies and let me tell you IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Our order was delivered to the door by Jeanine herself and she is the sweetest and most approachable person! Once we got our order, my husband and I went to town to try a piece of everything! The everything bagel and jalapeno bagel just as you imagined it- so fragrant as if you were to have picked it up yourself at the bakery but with a twist! It was so so fluffy and with each bite, we got a piece of the jalapeno or everything seasoning on it! Perfect texture, perfect amount of chew! After we snacked on the bagels, we decided to make our way to the loft of sourdough bread. OH MY GOODNESS, the loft of bread is a hefty size for one but when we sliced into it, that CRISP from the first slice sent us to the moon! The sourdough was fluffy on the inside and nice and crispy on the outside. We immediately looked at each other, smiled and took a big bite out of it! Once we were done mooning over the sourdough bread, we made our way to the pretzel dogs. The pretzel dogs were wrapped with a flaky crust and full of flavor as well. We decided that this would be the perfect snack idea or lunch idea for the kiddos or even for my husband himself. Very compact, portable and easy to eat. Who knew that something so simple would taste this delicious when you have it freshly made with homemade dough instead of store bought?! Last but not least, my favorite were the hand pies! For one, I've never had something called a "hand pie" but two, they are adorable! Literally, a hand pie is a pie that fits into your hand but these are just even more special! You can tell that it was homemade as no two pies were identical but they tasted amazing! A flaky crust with a coating of sugar crystals on the outside and bursting with fruit and filling on the inside! The hand pies even have a heart cut out in the front as well. Super adorable and oh so yummy! Will we be ordering again? YOU BET!!! Everything we got was stellar and we can't wait to try more of what Jeanine has to offer! We love supporting small and local businesses! Prices are reasonable as well- remember, when you're supporting small and local businesses, prices are going to be a little bit more expensive compared to the mass produced market items, but you are getting quality items that have been handmade (which takes time) with locally sourced ingredients. All in all, y'all need to order from one punch dough and try her amazing pastries and breads. You won't regret it!

We were on the fence overall but then my husband tasted his beer- 5/5. And the food came out: pizza 5/5 (probably the best pizza I've had in SA) and smoked turkey sandwich (whoa! Smokey but not over smoked where you are burping the taste hours later) with fries 5/5 (crisp, seasoned perfectly). We will definitely be back and so should you. You should try it now.
