Came here for the first time, decided to check out a new donut shop. Immediately, you can tell it's a small mom and pop shop. I came around the afternoon so my selections were limited, but still quite a bit to choose from. They knew right away that it was my first time there as theh have never seen my face before. It goes to show that they have their regulars. Anyways, I ordered half a dozen. Lady was friendly, greeted me and thanked me for coming. Donuts: They're beautifully handcrafted and soft. Melts in your mouth. I love the cinnamon sugared twists and I'm picky on my twists. Theirs were soft and moist, not dry or stale. Most donut shops open at 5 AM so by the time you're craving a 12 PM donut, everyone is dry or almost stale. Here, it was not. In fact, the old fashion chocolate dipped donut was still crispy on the edges! Soft and moist on the inside. And the BLUEBERRY DONUT....perfect crispy outside and packed with blueberry flavor. It's like the edges of a baked homemade cake. I loved it! Truly not disappointed at this place. It's a bit of a drive, but I'd rather come here for good quality donuts with friendly service. It's located in a small strip with about 2 other shops. It was clean inside even though it looks like they just had a delivery of supplies. The ambiance is inviting, but also like other local donut shops. They do have drinks for sale, but I only went for the donuts. I'd definitely come back to this place and would recommend you to stop by at least once.....more if you can.

Serving converse for years with spectacular service and donuts. They were voted number two of the top 10 donut shops in the entire San Antonio region and I know why. https://www.expressnews.com/food/restaurants/article/Best-donuts-in-San-Antonio-16845423.php

This is my husband's favorite donut shop in town. It reminds him of all of the times he'd grab donuts before going to school. We make a point to stop here and grab kolaches & donuts while we are in town visiting. The owners are very nice and take the time to talk to us. They are from California and understand our struggle of not having good kolaches. The owner was so kind to give my sister-in-law and our daughter some free drinks as a kind gesture to our continued business.

I parked under a tree & entered around the corner. Lots of pastry selections with coffee selections as well. I took my time as a lot looked yummy. I chose a savory pizza bread which had the choice of Pepperoni or just cheese. I chose the Pepperoni. Saw a Cruffin so I asked the clerk what it was filled with & she said Strawberry. Chose that & a featured Lavender VaLatte with Oat Milk. The clerk put the pastries on an aluminum tray lined with a wax paper sheet but I had her bag my Cruffin. She proceeded to make my Lavender Latte & I saw her pouring regular whole milk in the frother so I asked if that was Oatmilk & she stopped herself & said "No it's not. Sorry, I didn't write the order down" or something to that effect. I sat down by the one soda while she made my drink which was smooth & subtly lavender. The pizza bread didn't have a chewy bread texture and was soft. My friend arrived and ordered a large Americano, a Cruffin, Tart -pastel de nata & savory tomato/cheese pizza twist Danish pastry. She loved the pastel de nata as it reminded her of Portuguese tarts. We sat on the wooden tables with benched seating & chairs. The sofas are soft but one fabric chair had stains on it. There are other small tables & barstools with counter seating. Nice natural light flows in. Bathrooms were clean & additional seating was outside on a deck. I could see a nice party outside except the train runs across the street so that could be an issue as they blow their horns coming thru. They sell merch & preserved jellies & honey too.

Today I had an interesting experience at this Starbucks…read more I was in town for the Spurs game and got to town early to avoid the rush hour traffic. I came to this Starbucks as it was close to my friends house. I ordered my drink and sat in the store and started working while I waited for my friend to get off work. My friend notified me that the were getting off so I packed up my items and went to my vehicle to swap bags and went it the restroom to get changed. When I excited the bathroom I asked for a water to go and was asked "Did you already buy a drink?" I said yes I did, I've been here for a few hours. She said okay, I added that I just wanted a small water. While she was getting my water she was talking to the other employees lowly then came to the drink drop off with the water still in her hand. She said "they said that you just walked in." To which I responded with "no, that's not correct, I've been here for a few hours." She said "I've been in the store and I haven't seen you. Do you have the app to show me?" At this point, I was the only one in the line and I was getting kind of frustrated. I remained calm and stated, "I order my drink with an African America girl, I sat by the window, then I moved outside to the far right seat. That's when the lady that put my order in got off sat right there outside opposite to me." The employee was still looking at me like I was telling a lie. I showed her my app where it showed that very location I was at with my drink purchase. She said she was sorry and didn't see me. I'm not sure what company policy they have, so I can't speak to that, but the level I had to go through to get a tall water I believe is ridiculous. I could understand if I just said, "Hey, believe me. I was just here and my order was wrong so I need another one." I would of course show the receipt as proof in this scenario, but for a water? I gave a detailed account of what happened and to top it off, one of the workers still there was the one who made my drink and gave it to me. Not a good experience, I think this needs to be evaluated better to ensure future customers aren't treated so coldly.

They know my order, always give me a water even when I'm just working, often times without me even having to ask. Seems there's a new manager / hire trying to show he's boss. Super rude, just overall bad vibes. While working recently, I politely asked for an ice water. "Sorry sir, it's the rules, you have to buy something." "I understand... But I come here all the time, and have never had an issue. Water is free. Can you please make an exception?" "It's the rules sir." "Okay, that's ridiculous. But okay." Go back to work, frustrated but whatever. Another colleague comes over, clearly at the orders of the new manager. "Sir, we know you come here all the time, but if you don't order anything we have to kick you out." I've spent thousands of dollars at this specific location and will never spend another dime. Classic example of following the "rules" to your own detriment. never coming back, and will tell everyone I know to do the same. Shout out to all the nice coworkers who treated me well before hand. The atmosphere is calm, relaxed, and perfect if you're looking for a place to study, work remotely, or enjoy a quiet cup of coffee. Every time I've visited, I've noticed people settled in and getting work done, so it definitely has that productive coffee shop vibe. As a mom who has her kids with her most of the time, I personally don't find it to be the most kid-friendly space. That's not a criticism--not every coffee shop is meant to be family-oriented. It's simply something I consider when deciding where to spend my time. For the coffee, I'd rate it a 7/10. The espresso leans a little more acidic than I personally prefer. I usually enjoy a richer, smoother flavor, but taste is completely subjective. The staff has always been kind during my visits. They're a bit more reserved than some baristas I'm used to, and I always enjoy chatting with baristas and getting to know them, but everyone has been pleasant and professional. They also offer pastries from a local bakery. They're good, but nothing that really stands out to me compared to other coffee shops. The overall experience actually reminds me a lot of Local Coffee, with a similar laid-back atmosphere. While it's not a coffee shop I'd drive across town specifically to visit, it's definitely worth stopping by if you're already in the area. If you're looking for a quiet place to work, study, or simply slow down with a cup of coffee, Americana Coffee & Espresso Bar is a great option.
