They put in 4 trees 2 of which came out of the ground and upon calling and getting no response plus texting . I ended up paying someone else to put them in the ground. I was told he would come out and spray my mulch for weeds and I offered to pay . I saved up this money between buying the trees and paying him to end up this way. The bank called him since he would not answer my calls , he answered and said cool ! Poor business and everyone I recommended him to I have called and apologized! I have waited over a year to get an estimate on mulch, we finally did it ourselves. Extra costs for gas is a joke, it's your equipment your responsibility. Extra charges for using a credit card and profiting from the up charge is wrong. No credits for doing half the job, responding they would have to charge by the hour and per person when they are only on the job for 10 minutes or less. I can see why this guy has all these negative reviews. He is doing work for my neighbor and illegally parks his truck, blocking my driveway and a fire hydrant earlier. He tells me I should be "nicer" when I want him to move his truck because I can't pull out of the driveway. Not an "I'm sorry", but instead turns it on me, and starts to get hostile. Again, he is illegally parked and completely blocking my driveway. I tell him that I'm going to call the Village of Riverside and says he could care less and becomes belligerent. Too many other good landscapers out there to waste your time on one who doesn't feel rules apply to him. read more

I never did get the work done still waiting for a phone call back and it's been probably been going on two weeks since I tried contacting them. We had plumbing work that destroyed our brick retaining wall and pulled all of the dirt and plant life out of the ground. M & M Landscaping came out with a very reasonable price to redo the brick wall (in a different color) with a newer layout, planting new Boxwood bushes, and new sod in the areas where I no longer wanted brick. The work was completed in one day and the front of my house looks beautiful. I have already reached out to see what else I can add to the front of my house. Great work! read more

I should have read these reviews before scheduling a work from home day to be able to met Marco for an estimate. After spending 20-30 minutes with him going over all of the [high dollar] work I needed done, I never heard from them again. That included two follow up calls on my part. I called this company for an estimate a couple weeks ago because of the 2 good Yelp reviews and the fact they are local. They called back the next business day. The woman who scheduled me was very polite and professional. After setting proper expectations with me about not being able to start work until June/July, we set up an appointment for estimate for this past Monday. Well, Monday came and went with a no call, no show. I understand this company is probably very busy with Spring work that others scheduled ahead of time but come on. Wish I could say better things. Hired them to do snow removal and yard maintenance. We have a frank Lloyd wright home which is part of daily tours. Not only do they breeze through the large with an oversized mower and hit everything in site... But they chopped up my yard several times: leaving chunks of grass all over. Snow removal they show up at 3am. Seriously. 3am... Waking up our house and the rest of the homes around us. When I've complained.. They either deny it or just don't take me seriously. We are on a strip of other FLW homes and our yard looks awful compared to the rest. These guys just don't care! And I find that terrible. read more

We solicited bids from four landscaping companies. Marco from M&M Landscaping was, by far, the most responsive and straight forward during the bidding process. Pricing was aligned with the other quotes we received. He completed a backyard patio for us, which included removing an old flagstone patio and concrete walkway. He had a dedicated crew of 3-4 guys at our house and he was there everyday for the week it took to complete the installation. Marco and his crew were efficient and cleaned up after themselves. I cannot recommend this company. Multiple visit requests made. We also experienced a long wait-time after contract signed. We hired M & M to overhaul our back yard 6 years ago. They installed a paver parking pad, sod, and paver pathway. We paid extra so that parking pad would have more layers, last well, etc. They were excellent to work with, however the patio didn't even last the year. They had a guarantee, came out to look at it, and agreed that they should redo it. Then nothing ever again, didn't return phone calls or come back to fix their work. I've been saving up ever since and now have to pay someone else to fix their work. read more

I didn't know where to start looking for help with my yard, so I Googled landscapers in my area and interviewed five different companies. Everyone wanted to charge me hundreds...HUNDREDS!..of dollars for drawings before they'd even give me a quote, except for Marco at M & M. He is an easy going, down to earth guy, who offered practical advice and creative suggestions. No elaborate ($$) sketches, but great communication...he listened to our preferences, was flexible with our last minute changes, and on the day he and his crew arrived I was blown away by their friendly efficiency. We weren't the easiest customers, and we questioned Marco's ideas through the whole process, but ultimately....he was right! About everything! Our new patio is the perfect size, our feature areas are so much more than we'd envisioned, and the price was right. This is the kind of company I'd like to deal with all the time!
