I hired 2 movers for 2 hours to pack a uhaul for me. They were on time, the guys did such a great job. Nothing broke, things hardly moved and I drove 1500 miles with a car attached to the back. Finally I got to write a review for these movers 2 years after we used these guys. I promised myself that despite the move, the birth of our kids and all the other commitments and engagements I would at a certain point write this review. The 2 men that were sent to us deserved negative 3 stars. So 1 star is quite compassionate. Here is a summary. We hired M&M Moving to load our truck. We were moving from Miami to Austin. We had a 3/2 1400 sqf bungalow on the beach which was sparsely furnished (a lot of closets and built-ins). We rented the largest u-haul nonetheless (enough to move a 4 bedroom house)....just in case we thought. The loaders arrived with not even a dolly. Once the truck was 30% full they pretty much started throwing stuff in it as if it was a pile of trash without any rational plan. Once 70% full (SEE THE PICS OF THE WONDERFUL JOB THEY DID) full it became clear they were unable to fit all our belongings in the truck. At that point we thanked them and sent them home. We just did not have the nerves for a confrontation and definitely no time to argue with the owner or give him / her a second chance. It was getting late and it was brutally hot (July!) and had a number of reservations tied to our departure date. Patiently me and my husband fully unloaded the truck and reloaded all our belongings through the night. All fit nicely. We had to delay our departure from early morning to the afternoon of the day after but we were able to fit everything in. Oh did I forget the 2 cabinets they broke during the process? I have to admit that this is the first time I reach out to the business. I should have asked for a full refund right away. So that is on me. But under no circumstances you send out such incompetent resources to a customer. Many think that organizing stuff in a truck can be done by anybody picked from the street. That is not the case. I hired this company for my parents. They were moving about 30 miles away from the location they were living at. From the time I requested a quote via Yelp from Mike to the time my parents signed the receipt everything was GREAT. The team of 3 showed up early in a nice big well taken care of moving truck. The guys went straight to work. They were extremely professional, extremely respectful and extremely hardworking. My parents were amazed at how fast end efficient they were. When they arrived at the new house they even asked what room the boxes should go in! Amazing! When they had their first move they paid thousands to move from one location to another location that was 5 miles away. You cannot beat the prices or the professionalism of this company. Recently moved to Florida and needed to hire a moving company after acquiring some dining room, living room and bedroom furniture as well as a number of very large wall units. Did my due diligence regarding reviews on Yelp and BBB. How lucky to decide on M&M Movers. Michael returned my first call promptly and was quite accommodating in regards to condo rules days and hours for delivery. He was on time....but had to wait quite a while for another truck to leave loading dock. His crew was congenial and worked steadily. Everything delivered without issue. This senior citizen was pleased as punch with Michael's professionalism, kindness, and pleasant personality. My daughter was moving from an apartment in Ft. Lauderdale to her first townhouse in Davie. I spoke to many movers but Michael seemed the most reasonable and professional. Beware of how they are storing your items. Igor and cres were great at packing me up, but I was told one thing and when I went to check on my stuff before leaving, it was not in their storage own professional warehouse like I was assured, but in an old storage facility that you drove up to and rolled up the door. No pallets, nothing to protect it if from the elements or a flood. It was only until I pushed that Mike told me it was temporary since they lost their lease. I had to delay my departure, arrange to have my stuff transported to my own, more safe and secure storage facility. It delayed my departure by 3 days and then I had to fly back. Instead of being the move with ease service that they boast (pack, store and transport), that aspect of my relocation became very stressfull. read more

I was selling my parents home in Boynton Beach and needed a mover to bring some furniture and miscellaneous items up to Long Island, NY. The realtor gave me a few recommendations and after getting quotes I wasn't to impressed with the companies services. I went on yelp and after reading the reviews I decided to have them give me a quote. Michael was very up front and explained everything to me. I felt at ease with him on the long distance move. I heard horror stories that they give you a quote at the beginning and then when they get to your house to unload the price is much higher. Being in the Long distance and local moving & storage business in Manhattan for three generations , my guess I should be someone who knows the business pretty well. Michael Papla owner of M & M was getiing into his van, as he was finishing up a estimate in my building in Brickell. I asked if he could come by for a survey to what it would cost us to move our one bedroom from Brickell to Coconut Grove. With a big smile, and no problem he dropped by and we gave him the green light to move us down to the Grove. Three professional movers and a clean moving van this M&M team made our moving day great! Final price was right in line with Michaels estimate. Not to bad, right! We also had a small load going to our summer lake house in New Hampshire. Mike once again said no problem, because they own a warehouse/dispatcher in Boston so life is great. Not easy to find anyone who can do anything right in Miami, but for the first time can now say Yes there is finally a Moving & Stg company who can knock it out of the park. AMAZING!! The most cost efficient, fast, reliable, and professional moving company I have EVER worked with and I have seen it ALL. I have had boxes ripped and belongings stolen, I have had my items held hostage being scammed $4000 cash at 10:30 pm after my boxes were 3 weeks late by "private contractors" from a company that has since been shut down, so yes, I have seen it all. But even still, I am blown away by the service I have received from M and M. The pricing is unmatched and the professionalism just as good. I am so so so impressed and will use them from here on in for any of my future moves as I do move quite frequently.
