The project failed its first city inspection due to a mechanical code violation (venting exhaust straight into the attic). Furthermore, the contractor under-reported our $24,331 contract to the City of Imperial Beach on the permit valuation as only $3,786.75 (an 84% discrepancy). We have fulfilled 100% of our financial obligations to close out the contract, but an active investigation has been requested with the California Contractors State License Board (CSLB Complaint #S F 2025016199) regarding their permit reporting and management practices.
