I found out about MB Painting & Decorating during the inspection period on our new townhouse. Miguel, the owner, was painting another unit in the building. Apparently he's painted a few other units in the building as well so he was familiar with the layout of the units. We had a few other estimates for painting and Miguel's prices were significantly cheaper. He was fast and super responsive. On top of all of this, we were also in escrow to sell our old house, so we had a very small window to get any work done to our new place before we had to move out of our old place. The guy that was doing the handrail for my stairs was behind schedule, which caused my flooring guy to fall behind schedule which then caused Miguel and his team, who are at the end of the line, to be behind schedule as well. Miguel was so accommodating and worked with our schedule without giving us any issues. The stair guys installed the handrails, but that was the extent of their work so they didn't patch anything up or repaint anything. Miguel and his team jumped on it and was able to bang out the entire paint job before we moved in. The paint looks fantastic! I have to leave an update because I'm not able to leave a second review but Miguel completed another huge painting project for us (the entire interior of our 3k foot fitness studio) and he is the best! He completes amazing quality work without being micromanaged and without extending the time frame excessively. He was flexible and worked around our business's challenging schedule and, for the second time, he saved us when other craftsman did not complete their portion of the work. Last year when we opened the business he saved us by installing a floor last minute and this year he saved us when a contractor left a wall half-repaired. He is also just extremely professional, friendly, and easy to work with. I contracted with another painter but he flaked out on me. MB Painting was recommended to me by my drywall guy who knew I was trying to keep a close timeline for painting and other installations. Miguel returned my call promptly, was courteous and always on time. I was very happy with his quality of work. He was very involved with the work himself and not just having his crew do it for him. He patched up several holes from electrical work we had done and scraped paint from walls in a bathroom that had water bubbles. Miguel did a fantastic and thorough job painting the exterior of our house. We have a very steep hillside home. Miguel came out to give an estimate and was not scared off by the challenge. Instead, he rented a piece of equipment (boom lift ) that allowed him to do the job safely. His price was fair and his work was immaculate. He even cleaned our hard to reach windows while he was up there AND did a needed wood repair he found, on our roof. Five stars, highly recommend and we will for sure use MB again! Great work, Miguel! Miguel Beteta is an all-around genius who can do anything. From maintenance to repairs to aesthetic decisions, there's nothing he can't handle. He's simply superb at anything and everything when it comes to house repairs. Miguel is the BEST. When I needed some painting done at my mother-in-law's house in Lawndale, I asked my general contractor to recommend a painter. He said M B Painting, without any hesitation. I contacted Manny and met him at the house to quote the job. He listened closely to what I wanted done, asked thoughtful questions, and quoted the job then and there. I thought his price was extremely reasonable, and when I inspected the finished product it was flawless! His attention to detail and that of his crew was outstanding. The job, which involved a large bedroom, family room, living room, and kitchen, was completed quickly and with minimal disturbance of my elderly mother in law. Each day the job site was clean and tidy, with no "collateral damage" of other surfaces, that I have witnessed with other painters in the past in my experience. It's really hard to find someone you are comfortable with that does good work, but also you are comfortable having them come into your home. Miguel was referred to us about 10 years ago when we needed a painter for my grandmothers home. As we were very impressed with his work, professionalism, and friendly demeanor my parents had him come to thier house as well. Again loved the work he did. He listens to what you want, brings samples if needed, and always provides advice or recommendations if asked. Whether he has a team, or does the job alone he always keeps things clean as he goes. I needed a Painter in January of this year. We still had his receipt information, but didn't know if he was retired or not. Miguel was referred to me by a neighbor whose house he had painted years ago, and their paint is still looking really good. I called Miguel for an estimate and he showed up a couple of days later and emailed me an estimate the same night. The estimate was fair but I decided to get a few more estimates just to make sure I was getting the best value. Some painters never returned my calls, another came in 50% over Miguel, and another wanted me to buy the paint myself (which is a big red flag). I decided to go with Miguel and all I can say is that I have never been more satisfied with any contractor that has worked on our home. He started by pressure washing every surface of the house and for the next two weeks, Miguel and his guys worked non-stop patching stucco, sanding, priming, caulking, and painting. They were all very polite and courteous and we felt safe leaving our home with doors and windows open while they worked, which we have never done with anyone else working on our house. There is not a single square inch of the house that they did not give their full attention to. The best part of working with Miguel is his attitude and work ethic. He never nickel-and-dimed me for a little extra work here and there and his number one priority is doing a good job and making sure his clients are happy. We could not be happier with how our home looks now and would not hesitate to recommend MIguel to anyone that needs a painter in the future. read more
