I went through a thorough process in selecting a painter to repair and paint our three-unit condominium complex in Redondo Beach. Color Concept's reputation impressed me and they lived up to that five-star reputation. Dimitri and his team do projects the right way with a serious attention to detail and they deeply value customer satisfaction. On behalf of my neighbors and myself, we highly recommend using color concepts for your project. I had several bids for the project over the course of several months. Color Concepts beat them all up front and in the end. Dimitri gave us a better deal for wood repairs, paint, communication, and attention to detail. I know an expert when I meet one. I always felt at peace with their work because they do things the right way. They are fully insured and bonded with worker's compensation and they made sure that any paint debris was thoroughly cleaned up. Dimitri was very up front about what needed to be done before they did any work or repairs. There were no surprises because they put in the work and time to study the units. We had significant termite damage in wood fascia. Whereas other contractors just gave us a simple quote regarding the wood, Dimitri took the time to walk around the house *several* times early in the mornings before the project began to explain why and which wood repairs needed to be made and why they were in the best interest of the structure. He explained to me that the house needed to be washed and that some of the wood would not survive that washing. He said he could paint over some of the damage, which some painters do, but it would not last. I appreciated his candor and expert opinion. This is just one example of his solid advice. Dimitri also showed up at our house several times to make sure that all of us were happy with the color matches and showed us a cool technology online that allowed us to visualize the color before selection. During the course of the project, the painters were very thorough in making repairs and painting all of the details of our complex. If anything ever came up--as they do on a project of this scope--Dimitri was always accessible via phone or text. His team came back to our units several times and on the weekend to correct any issues that came up. Dimitri and the entire team really went above and beyond to make our place look great and ensure that we were thrilled with our new look. I have included some before and after photos. The summary of it - Dimitri from Color Concepts is a great communicator who stands by high quality work. I plan on hiring him for my future painting projects! I'm mostly a do it yourself'er because I'm a huge perfectionist and I like to save money wherever I can. But, when it came to painting my open-beamed vaulted ceiling, I knew I wanted to hire someone (my neck wanted me to too!). I called Dimitri and he got back to me to schedule a quote right away. After getting two other quotes, I decided Color Concepts was the best because of their fair price, good communication, and detailed quote (I really hate the vague quotes "paint the ceiling" because it makes it so hard when issues come up). The ceiling was originally knotty pine, and the knots and oils had bled through the previous owners paint job. There were also a lot of gaps between the beams that made everything look shoddy. We agreed that Color Concepts would spray the ceiling with BIN primer (the best for stain blocking knotty pine) and two coats of white paint. Dimitri's team was super detailed in their prep: sanding any peeling paint, properly protecting the room, and caulking ALL of those ugly cracks. Dimitri's team also repaired a section of drywall for us and skim coated a small hallway where the previous owners had just painted over wallpaper glue (it was horrible!). Both projects turned out great for a totally reasonable price! At the end of the project, there were a couple small spots that I wanted retouched and Dimitri was happy to make sure everything looked fantastic. This is a man who takes real pride in the quality of his work and the satisfaction of his customers. The whole thing took 3 days with cleanup and touch ups. My husband and I keep staring at the ceiling, thrilled at how good it looks. We are SO HAPPY with the painting! read more

I bought a 1bd condo and I'm doing some upgrades before I move in and I was so lucky to hire Dimitri for the job for my first home!! :) And here is a breakdown review for every step he took: Estimate Scheduling: Straight forward, was able to get an appointment within 48 hrs. Dimitri showed up earlier than appointment time and sent me the quote over the email the same night. Painting Day: Dimitri showed up with 2 crews. Again, they showed up earlier than I did and was already unloading equipment, material, etc. Dimitri & I went over the job scope one more time (double-checking since I wanted to add few more areas to the job scope and he was very accommodating). His crews were friendly, but when it comes to the job they were right to the point and finished in less than a day. After Service: This part is usually where people gives mixed reviews. I want Dimitri to get 100+ STARs on this. I upgraded the floors from carpet to laminate wood and it was recommended to get paint done first, do the floors, then do final touch up on paint (if needed). This meant one more trip for Dimitri's team even though their initial job was top-notch. He said yes to my request without any hesitance when I first got my quote. And he's the man of his word. He called me first asking, "Hi Lisa, are you ready for us for that final touch up?" This is beyond expectation and I'm not done yet. Again, he showed up earlier than our final appointment, did some touch ups (I accidentally made some holes so he patched up & repainted) and shared some tips if I ever have to do some touch up work AND gave me the rest of material - paint, brushes, mixing panel, etc. Summary: top-notch job on every step along the process, extremely friendly and easy to work with. All of this at a very reasonable cost.
