This was my first time getting a scalp massage and I had a great experience! I got the Viral Scalp Rejuvenation with neck and shoulder massage. The appointment first starts with a detailed analysis, during which they take pictures and explain your hair health to you. After answering all your questions and concerns, they work on cleaning your hair and scalp massage. The person who was working on my scalp applied the perfect amount of pressure when working on my scalp/neck/shoulder. Super relaxing! Then they blow dry your hair, apply any extra serum, and you end your appointment with another hair analysis. Through the pictures, I can see a difference in the before and after! After experiencing my first head spa in New York, I was determined to find a legit back home. Fortunately, I came across M Head Spa from an IG ad and made my first appointment in May with Luna. I am so glad I did because the experience was much better than the one I had in New York. My appointment was for 1pm so I showed up about 10 minutes prior to my appointment so I could have ample time to find parking and the unit of the suite. Note M Head Spa shares a small parking lot with other businesses however, there's a bit of street parking and some parking in the back. When I got to the door, it was locked but there's a doorbell on the side or the door and the front desk person let me know. I let her know that my appointment was at 1pm and she proceeded to check me in. Upon entering, there's a couple vanity's with blow dryers and other hair tools by the front door. Up against the wall are "beds" separated by curtains where clients get their service done. Being my first time, I was sat in chair for my hair and scalp analysis then proceeded to a changing area to change into a snap-on velour tube top. I was then brought over to the station where I'll be getting my head spa done and chose from either a warming eye mask or a regular one. I went with the warm one laid down in the chair where the massage function was turned on and a cozy blanket was placed on the rest of my body. I went with the 90 minute oxygenating scalp wash which included the neck & shoulder massage. The entire experience was glorious! The massage, the aromatherapy, the vibe...was so relaxing and a much needed spa session. Once the scalp treatment was done, I was moved into another room where my hair was blow dried then a microcurrent comb was used and another tool was used I don't remember what it was called lol then once that was done my scalp and hair was analyzed again and I was shown my results before and after the service. I enjoyed the experience so much I came back month after month, each time with a different person lol. I brought my BF's sister the 2nd time and I brought my BF on my 3rd visit. I've been here enough that I'm a fan and will be back over and over again. I did see and feel a difference with my hair before and after my scalp cleaning. I did have to tell the lady to scrub a bit softer just cause I was feeling irritation and a burning sensation before my treatment, she was scrubbing pretty hard but with a little communication problem fixed I let her know to go softer. When I called to make an appointment, I did let the manager know about my situation, which was that I was losing hair drastically and had developed dandruff. She assured me that it was normal due to being 4 months postpartum. She had shared that she also went through the same thing after she had her baby. I felt a little better knowing I wasn't the only one . I'm not going to lie I did loose more hair after the treatment but I think that was just the inevitable. I've been to a few head spas before and heard that this one was good from our friends, so I decided to give it a try. The place is very bright and clean, and the service is very attentive. Reservations weren't hard to make, and they have different tiers of service available. I chose one of the lower tiers at $138 per person to give it a try. When you first enter, they check you in and perform the hair health exam you often see online, where they scan your scalp to identify any issues. After that, you're instructed to change into a robe and lay down. Personally, I really didn't like the massage chair--it ended up bruising my back, but that might just be a personal thing. I would probably prefer to lay down on a flat surface. You're also asked to wear an eye mask to keep the environment dark, but I think I would have preferred just being in a dark room. After the experience, I feel this is more of a deep hair wash spa rather than a massage, which I had anticipated. However, the lady washing my hair did an excellent job deep cleaning it. I opted for medium strength but maybe should have chosen light strength since it was a bit intense for me. When your session is finished, they dry your hair. The lady who worked on me really took her time blow-drying my hair, which I appreciated. This experience was different from the typical head spas I've been to, which are more like massages, but I don't think that's the fault of the place. However, the lady who was providing my treatment was talking to her coworker during my service. This ruined the calming vibe of the service. Parking here isn't too bad because it is located inside a plaza. This is definitely not an everyday kind of treatment because it can be a little pricey but you are left with super soft silky hair along with very healthy looking scalp. The place was located in a crowded strip mall but we luckily found a parking spot right in front. The place was bright and clean. Started out with an analysis of our scalp and hair follicles. The massage chair was comfortable and a warm blanket put over us. I'm not sure what all was being done, but it all felt amazing. All the products they used smelled fresh and clean. Afterwards, they dried our hair using a Dyson dryer that also had a smoothing attachment, did some sort of a red light treatment and comb. We left there feeling relaxed and pampered. I discovered this lovely head spa through Yutaro and Nanami, and I'm so glad they introduced me to this amazing, much needed very special service. Upon arriving, the staff was very welcoming and professional in explaining the various steps of the 1 to 2 hour treatment. The space is clean and aesthetically pleasing, I felt very comfortable and at home in each station and every step of the way. Firstly, the staff showed me the ultra magnified before images of my scalp, hair and its pores. I changed into a cute and clean change of clothing to ensure none of my clothes or jewelry get product on it. Afterwards, I received a long, glorious and thorough head massage with oils and other products to cleanse and revive my scalp pores & hair follicles. Next, the staff washed my hair with special tea tree products and dried it. They showed me the results of this relaxing and rejuvenating treatment and I really could see the difference in my hair being sleek, shiny while the scalp pores were refined, exfoliated and cleansed. She used an attachment and made sure my hair was left smooth and silky, not just dried. The 2 front desk girls were also very helpful and kind! The location is very easy to park in because it's in a plaza. The spa is clean and has relaxing music playing. With the robe, the blanket, and the massage chair, it's a super lux experience! I treated my friend, along with myself, to the 90 minute scalp treatment (which includes a shoulder massage) yesterday afternoon. All in all, was a fun experience but not sure if I'm their target customer. We both have pretty good hair but for me, I have very thick hair and feel like I had a lot of gunk built up. I have a little flakes and rarely use product so was most interested in the scalp cleaning and hair treatment. The spa is a lot smaller than I thought it would be, but it has ample parking! You start with a scalp analysis, which was helpful - but super rushed. It's a two person computer station basically in the lobby, not private. This, I didn't feel comfortable asking beyond initial questions and wanted to share some more about why I was going there in the first place. Once that was done, we were taken to the changing room and then into the comfy massage chairs. I liked how I was getting massage during the whole process it was very relaxing. The woman that was attending me was Michelle - she was detailed and thorough and I appreciated her giving me some explanations throughout the process; super kind good vibes. I had a shoulder massage but not super memorable but also half asleep lol. After the wash / steam / shoulder massage, they blow dry your hair (Dyson) and magnify your scalp again, comparing the images with your initial assessment. Again, felt rushed and felt like people are eavesdropping from the waiting room. I didn't have my phone on me (it was with my clothing in the basket) so I wasn't able to take images. I think they should give a print out, or some sort of access to the information because it's my data and many people that have been asking me about the experience ask about this aspect, and I can't relate anything because I forget the details. As I suspected, my main issue is clogged follicles, because I'm not able to scrub and penetrate the scalp do to my hair being so thick. They didn't offer any sort of tips beyond coming back, nor do they sell any product (which is disappointing because my hair is so shiny and soft). Am I glad I did it? YES! Unique and relaxing for sure. Also results, as my head feels lighter and cleaner, and my hair is so soft and silky. I don't think I'm their target regular customer though so not a pressing need to come back anytime soon. read more

The staff were really kind, and they were helpful in explaining services and what everything in the scalp analysis meant. They were also VERY accommodating of us changing who went first/last (we needed two different time slots to accommodate all 5), and were friendly to the rest of us snacking and chatting on the couch while we waited for our group. At this point you can voice any concerns and they'll let you know if it's something that does need to be addressed or if you're totally fine, lol. Communication overall was interesting. The hostess was quick, but thorough with our scalp analyses. They then give you halter top towels to put on. I was going in completely blind so I had no idea what to do. I essentially put the top on like a cape 2 times before they guided me on what to do. I guess it also depends on who you get assigned and maybe language barriers bc my lady was super nice but quiet, and my friend's scalp tech(?) was super talkative and informative, walking her through every step. I can see how both can be great, but I definitely think we should have switched! The head spa experience itself was incredible though. It didn't feel like the full hour bc of how good it felt! They put you in a full body massage chair and give you a warming eye mask. We got the oxygenated treatment. There were a myriad of calming smells and different stages of scalp washing and massaging. Once done, they walk you to the blow drying station where they blow dry and use some high tech combs and laser things for your scalp. Then they go over the before and after shots where you can see the differences the experience made. We walked out with our scalps feeling super good, clean, and light. The day before my appointment, I thought it was a little strange I did not receive any confirmation messages or a reminder text, thus having me reach out to the company instagram. I had found out my appointment was never booked because I did not provide a name or phone number, but to my dismay, I was left on read by the instagram user after confirming what day and time I would like to be booked. Had I not messaged the company page prior to my appointment, I would have shown up on the date + time with no appointment and no knowledge that it was never scheduled due to a mistake on their end. I understand mistakes, but no discount/aid was offered to remedy the situation other than an apology and offered to help put on the waitlist, with no guarantee I would get my time slot back. -1 for being chased to my car asking for a tip After the treatment, my boyfriend and I were asking questions about our scalp care and what we could do to improve it. We had gotten carried away and it was truly an honest mistake to leave without leaving a tip for the very nice ladies. I first found this place on yelp and I was very excited to give it a try because I love a nice head spa! I booked my appointment for a 90 minute oxygenation scalp wash via Yelp and was immediately responded too by the kind owner. This is located in a small shops center with plenty of parking. Note: The door isn't unlocked so if you pull on it, it won't open. The kind workers inside opened the doors for me and welcomed me into their clean and organized spa. The first thing they helped me with was analyzing my hair for density, clogged pores, overall health, breakage and dandruff. I was unpleasantly surprised with how much clogged pores I had and was really embarrassed actually. There were two kind women helping me with this. One was translating while the other was scanning my hair to search for any concerns to address. After analyzing my hair, I was instructed to change into a towel-like dress and a coverup. I went into my cozy little chair and the associate working on my scalp put on an eye steam mask that I thought was amazing. The massage chair was turned on and a blanket was placed on my body and from there I was just in heaven. The gentleness of the scalp massage nearly put me to sleep and I loved it! I also received a neck massage which definitely helped my stiff neck from a previous bad night's sleep. After the washing was completed, I had my hair dried and scalp massaged (along with my neck/shoulder!) which felt nice. They used the Dyson hair dryers so my skin didn't dry out which was a big plus. A cool thing they did was use a antibacterial comb like zappy thing that they ran through my hair. Although I was afraid of the zappy noises, they assured me I would not get shocked lol. After the whole treatment was done, I went back to analyze my hair and saw a big difference in clogged pores that I was grateful for. They noticed I had issues with hair loss due to clogged pores so they suggested incorporating a clarifying hair oil in my routine after I asked how to prevent them. My wife surprised me with a treatment for my birthday. We have been seeing scalp spas pop up on IG and we always talked about going, and I am so glad she followed through. I believe I got the oxygenating scalp wash, and I was stoked. I'm a big fan of a nice, deep wash, and this didn't disappoint. The value for money was definitely there, and my scalp feels great following the treatment. I don't know enough of the ins and outs of my treatment, but my scalp looks and feels better post treatment. I will definitely be returning. If you want your scalp to be scraped for 45 minutes, then this is the place for you. Not relaxing or soothing. They told me not to use hot water to wash my hair and then proceeded to use hot water most of the time when scraping my scalp. Then the technician did not fully dry my hair at the end so I left with partially wet hair. Be aware that at the end they treat your scalp with something that may itch or burn. But they don't tell you that in advance. So if it happens to you, just wait it out if you can. I had to scratch my head for some relief until someone who spoke English explained the situation to me. read more
