I had Jojo and I was so relaxed during the treatment, I fell asleep. I asked for light pressure on the chair so the massage didn't bother me. We all got the 90 minute treatment that includes the shoulder massage and omg Jojo massaged me real well and hit all the spots! I love the peppermint serum at the end. Do not come here unless you want to be tortured. I bought a Groupon for a couples 60-minute scalp massage/wash. When we arrived, my friend and I filled out waiver forms that asked for our goals and preferred pressure. I wrote that my goals were a relaxing time and a clean scalp, and I selected medium pressure. After that, I was led to the washing station. I laid down and suddenly a mechanical body massager turned on, which I was not expecting at all. It was incredibly uncomfortable and actually painful. It applied extreme pressure to my legs and feet and dragged them side to side every 30 seconds. After about five minutes of this repetitive "massage," I asked the woman doing my service to stop it. She clearly didn't speak English and didn't fully understand me, so I pointed at my legs and said "no massage." I heard her click a button, so I assumed she stopped it. A minute later, it continued. I was annoyed that she ignored my request, but I decided to just deal with it because I didn't want to come off rude by asking again. Meanwhile, while my body was being tortured, my scalp was being scratched raw. Clearly, we have different definitions of "medium pressure" because I couldn't figure out which was worse, the body massage machine or the scalp wash. I have no idea if she was using her nails or some kind of tool, but all I could do was brace myself. Exterior-wise, it's located in a very small plaza and has an equally small parking lot. There was no way for them to send us our scalp assessment results via email or text; they told us we could take pictures on our phones, but it would be much nicer if they could send us the results. Both my tech and my partner's never told us what they were doing and how those tools benefited our hair and scalp health. I had to constantly ask, which became annoying. It seemed there was a language barrier as well, as my tech couldn't really answer my questions well. I had a nice experience at M Head Spa. I came for my birthday and got the 90 minute oxygenating scalp treatment. They have a special for first time customers, so ask before you go! The scalp treatment here is VERY similar to that of Yangsiguan. I like the massage chairs at M Head Spa more, but Yangsiguan goes the extra mile in terms of hair care and the professionalism of the workers. Nevertheless, I still had a great experience at M Head Spa, but because the prices are so similar, I probably won't be back. I was helped by the front desk worker named Melody and my spa treatment technician was Ivy. They start with a scalp diagnosis with the cameras and their machine uses AI to give your scalp a score (based on several factors). I actually think it's better for a person to do the analysis, for that personable factor, and didn't really enjoy the machine. Afterward, you're whisked away to change into the provided garments and the head spa begins with aromatherapy, and shampooing (almost identical to Yangsiguan). The massage chair did not fit my body length at all - it was massaging my butt and hands mostly. The hair spa includes a head and neck massage, but they don't go far down to the shoulder area at all. There's a rainfall shower, which they keep on for longer than other places, but I don't find it particularly special. Then, they will take you to the front to blow dry your hair, anti-bacterial comb, red light therapy, and put in a cooling toner. I thought Ivy was really nice, but she wasn't great at blow-drying my hair (my scalp felt like it got burned multiple times and I had to move my head around). For the price with the first-time discount, it's alright. I've also been to Head and Scalp Spa in Temple City and so far that one is my favorite. Yangsiguan would be second, and here would be third. The scalp treatment here is not bad, but they have lots of little improvements that can be made. Parking is ample and free in the parking lot. There's also lots of free street parking nearby. They have restroom inside if you need it and a waiting area with snacks - but you don't wait for long even if you come early. read more

Like everyone now a days I'm heavily influenced by TikTok. This head spa popped up on my fyp and I knew I had to try it out. I took a friend as her Christmas gift because two is better than one. We arrived few mins early and got let in by the staff member( they keep the front door locked). We were greated and asked to sit down and fill out a little form/information card. I did notice that it does ask you if you are pregnant ( for all my friends expecting babies this year) I'm not to sure why but I thought it was important to know. We were sat in front of a screen where the staff member took down our hair and started taking pictures with their ultra cool cameras to se wheat going on in the scalp. It was very interesting to see what they found. They also recommended what kind of treatment you should get from that little evaluation they do. We were taken back shortly after that into separate pods where we were asked to but on the robe and relax in the chair. The chair is amazing it massages you through out the whole experience. I was then laid down and I let the staff member work her magic. Truly an experience I think everyone should have. After the wash and scrub I was taken to schist where my hair was brushed and blown out. Talk about service! I didn't want to write a review but after weeks of pain from my scalp, I think it may help others. I came here a few weeks ago. Had an appointment booked at noon with my husband. We were running about 10 minutes late (maybe less). We called to inform them and were told they can either skip the scalp analysis or go through it quickly. I mean... given the price we rather have a quick run through than skip it. After the scalp analysis we were both suggested to add the CO2 for additional cost. So we did. My husband also added a shoulder massage for me. The wash started off great but after about 15-20 minutes in, it just felt like my scalp was being scraped off by the employee's fingernails. This went on for about an hour. The added shoulder massage was not a massage... having less than 5 minutes of finger running up and down the back of your neck is not a massage. (Also I think it's hard for the employees to even give shoulder massage since you're just laying in the massage chair with your head back for the wash...) I wasn't expecting a full fledge massage but at least some kind of massage? I would definitely not recommend anyone to add that on. In fact, they don't extend the time of the treatment for that add on. After the wash and dry, they showed how the scalp is after. Basically - it was clean. (I mean, as it should be after one hour of scrubbing and washing...) Anywho, when I walked out my scalp was hurting. I was not able to wash my hair for over a week because of how painful it was and sensitive it got. I noticed my scalp was so irritated and bleeding in different spots! I was so shocked. My favorite was the water rainfall hair rinse. After they blow dry your hair they take you back to reevaluate your scalp. My husband and I, as first-time parents, were in need of some relaxing time away, so we got a babysitter and headed to M Spa! We decided to try the "Viral Scalp Rejuvenation" for 90+ minutes. We were really excited and ended up liking it overall, but there were definitely some things we wish had been different. First, while the spa is strict about confirming appointments and ensuring clients arrive on time, that courtesy wasn't exactly reciprocated. Our appointment was scheduled for 12 PM, and we arrived about 15 minutes early, yet I wasn't called into the chair until 12:15, and my husband about five minutes after that. It just felt like our time wasn't really respected. Before the treatment, they ask three questions, including massage pressure preference. I specifically requested "hard" pressure, as I was really looking forward to the shoulder massage. However, the massage was extremely soft. The therapist even asked early on how the pressure was, and I said, "Could you go harder?"--but she continued with the same light touch. It was also very short, so I felt like I got nothing out of it. Honestly, had I known, I would have just booked the one-hour option and saved some money. Been reading so much on this hair spa hype since I've been in desperate need of finding something to alleviate my itchy, dandruff hair. Scheduled an appointment for Tuesday at 7pm for our group. This spa is located next door to delicious food corner on Valley and parking may be a little scarce depending on the time of day. The lot is shared with other business so come a little early. Vibe is very calming as they play "massage" music and it smells botanical inside. The shop is a lot smaller than expected but it was still pleasant. Can be crowded but we were the last group that evening. You get your scalp evaluated in the lobby which can be embarrassing for some who have bad scalp. Luckily I know I have bad scalp so it wasn't as embarrassing but I know others may not like that experience to be shared with strangers. It's pretty cool to see your hair follicle magnified. They take you to a dressing room to change into and onto a massage chair you go. The massage chair was a little painful for me around the lumbar area as I'm short so my tailbone is a little sore. I like the arms and leg pressure as well. They drape a blanket over you and you get an eyemask. During the washing process, my stylist was very rough on my head. I thought maybe because my scalp had so much damage but my group all said they are a little rough. When youre done, they blow dry and re-evaluate your scalp again. Overall, I would love to return to hopefully help with my dry scalp. Obviously one treatment won't cure the issue but I do hope to help alleviate my dandruff as that is embarrassing. This was the first Head Spa I've ever visited and it was one of the best experiences I've ever had. I got the "Oxygenating Scalp Wash" and as someone who loves a scalp massage, this was the BEST THING EVER. The experience: Upon check-in, you get a scalp assessment, meaning someone will take a little want and basically take photos of your scalp and tell you what you're looking at (e.g. hair density, oiliness level, dandruff, etc.). Once that happens, you go get changed into a robe, towel dress and slippers (all provided). You're then led to one of the massive massage chairs where your service commences. I won't go into too much detail here, but it was one of the most relaxing experiences of my life. The only thing I'll say is after your hair is washed, they will blow dry, but don't expect a salon style blow out. They literally just blow dry your hair so that it's dry when you walk out. Once everything is done, they do another scalp assessment so you can see the difference. It's actually really cool. Anyway, I highly recommend this place. First time doing this trend. I recommend visiting to enjoy being pampered. The massage chair, blanket, all while being shampooed with a scalp massage is a great feeling. You feel like a million bucks! My one tiny con for visiting this business is that you don't walk out looking like a million bucks. They dry your hair with great equipment and in a beautiful environment but they don't style your hair. That is why I only gave 4 starts. If I spend +$100. I want to look it, feel it, know it. But by looking at me when I left, you wouldn't know it cause my hair was frumpy looking when I left. Clean but frumpy. read more

My 90 min oxygenating scalp wash felt amazing and my hair was very soft and smooth after however the service overall felt rushed. I was looking forward to the scalp assessment at the beginning and then the oxygen rich serum, meridian brush, and high frequency comb at the end but all felt rushed through. There also weren't products for my textured haired friend. The staff did have a diffuser but the skill and products were geared towards straight, non-textured hair. The spa itself was clean and the staff very kind. They had a deal for 1st time customers and added an additional % off for those paying with cash/app. There were also many details that I appreciated particularly in the quality of the massage chairs and the extremely soft and cozy blankets. read more

I took a 90-minute trip to heaven at M Head Spa with my two besties, and let's just say we entered looking like we'd been marinating in a deep fryer since Saturday. Our hair was an oily mess, but we left with hair so soft and fresh that we almost didn't recognize ourselves. The experience was pure bliss: a scalp assessment to remind us just how much our hair needed this, a double cleanse shampoo that was basically an exorcism for our greasy roots, and a rainfall wash that felt like we were under a tropical waterfall. The scalp massage was so good, I'm pretty sure my soul left my body for a bit. By the time they were done with the conditioner, steam, blow dry, oxygen-rich serum, meridian brush, and high-frequency comb, I felt like a brand new person.
