Full disclosure, I can't review the food because we never got to order. Here's why: Stopped at 11:30 on a weekday, maybe 5 tables of people sitting. Sat at the bar. Bartender never made eye contact. Never said "be with you aliens shortly". I told my friend what to order for me as I had to use the bathroom. When I came back, no drink yet. Still no eye contact. Finally after 15 minutes she brings menus over and asks what we want to drink. We order and since it wasn't soda from the gun, she turns and while walking away said "I can't make those. It takes too long. These other people are all in their lunch break". Believe me, we didn't order muddled mojitos and it wouldn't have taken long to make. But aliens don't get lunch breaks I guess. We can afford to kill two hours at a pub and grill. Ok cool, we wait while she brings drinks to the 5 tables (I give her credit, she was hustling) and then disappears into the kitchen for some reason. At that point we realized the aliens were never going to be served so after what has now been 20 minutes + after we sat down, we got up and left. Not before we got some evil eyes like "how dare you leave". If you're a regular, great. You've found a spot. If you're an alien, find another planet to land on and hopefully get served.

The French fries were crispy, and the rye bread was standard fare. The Cole slaw, served in a plastic ramekin, was also decent. 3 pieces, $22. My partner had a pulled pork sandwich and it was "okay." Here is one thing we found odd. If you sub out one side on the menu for another, it's a $5 upcharge. Right! That surprised us also. So if you want a vegetable instead of a potato or vice-versa, it's $5. Want a different kind of potato than what comes with your dish, also $5. Any change to the sides is $5, no matter how lateral the exchange is. For these reasons, it gets three stars, but not any more. Good (enough) food, friendly service, nice enough bar atmosphere with outdoor seating. Change the breading on the fish (and leave out garlic and onion powder!), make sure the soda has enough carbonation, and also allow for more flexibility on sides, and you'd have a five-star spot.

Perfectly crispy on the outside, packed with bold flavor on the inside, and that sweet-heat drizzle brought it all together. We'd absolutely order them again. They also offer a special Saturday night menu featuring barbecued baby back ribs and prime rib, which we're already planning to come back and try. The atmosphere is laid-back and lively, with a variety of slot machines and pull tabs adding to the entertainment. Whether you're a local or just passing through, this place is worth a stop.
