I was driving back home from an early morning trip to Fond du Lac and wanted to pickup breakfast along with way. Options aren't plentiful after you leave Fond du Lac heading south really until you get just outside Milwaukee, but I knew Diner 67 in Lomira was an option. I called in an order for a breakfast wrap with bacon for the meat and an order of wheat toast. The wrap was excellent. The bacon, egg, and cheese all took turns standing out and I appreciated that the wrap was herb flavored and not just a plain tortilla. The hashbrowns that came with the burrito were buttery and delicious without needing to add anything to them. The toast, which I asked to have extra butter on, was perfectly toasted and buttered. This was a solid choice for breakfast and I would stop again. read more

I haven't had a bison burger in years and theirs was very good. So was their hot chocolate, which you get 1 free refill on. Avoid the "Mexican taco salad". While the "chips were excellent, it was a plate of lettuce with NOTHING "Mexican" about it. I ordered it with chicken instead of taco meat, and got a totally tasteless piece of chicken. No seasoning whatsoever. Please add some sliced black olives, pickled jalapenos, cilantro, lime and a decent cheese to help this poor excuse for Mexican salad along. A decent amount of a better salsa and some guacamole would be perfect. Widmers cheese shop is less than 5 miles away. Why not feature their award winning cheddar or colby? Stopped off the highway for breakfast and found a gem of a place. Waitress seated us and within a few minutes took our order , within 5 minutes she returned with a VERY hefty plate of food. I was heading north in the we hours of the morning and I thought I would stop buy for breakfast at 6:15 just after opening. At first opening there was no problem getting a booth. I will post pictures of my visit since there is not many pictures to show the world. The place is in the middle of no where and off the high way so you actually have to want to get there and I did. The place Is locals and pretty empty at 6:15. The place has no character and looks like an apartment turned into a restaurant with white walls and track lighting. The walls are covered with yard sale looking art and light wood trim. My service was great with the nice woman who took care of me and she stopped by many times just to make sure all was well. The menu is small but has all the the normal main stay to satisfy. I had the sunrise special with sausage patties. I liked the fact that they had sour dough toast as a option. The sausage patties were thick/juicy and tasted fresh and in the middle of not bland but not zesty. The eggs were perfect sunny side up. The hash browns were cooked perfect. Over all the place is a solid breakfast joint with great food that taste fresh. The service was outstanding and if you want a small town country breakfast this is the place. read more

We are on a road trip and stopped for breakfast. Susie's is warm and inviting. Great, friendly service. Our food was excellent and served quickly, and our coffee refilled regularly. My only regret is we live about 45 minutes away and can't come back more often. I had my make-your-own omelet with onions, green peppers, mushrooms, and feta cheese. Well prepared and generous portions. Hash browns were crispy and delicious. Toast was also good. Coffee was hot and strong. My husband had Susie's Special Omelet with tons of veggies and sausage. I stole a bite, which means I now have two regrets, the second being not ordering a side of sausage for myself. read more

First impression of the restaurant as newly renovated and cheerful. We arrived on a Saturday Morning at 06:40 am to a very clean and well kept dining area. I ordered the 67 Benedict. The food quality was very good, but I think portion size was less than other restaurants for a similar Meal(it is usually served with hash browns) and price. The flavor was a bit blan, but the ham and eggs were very high quality. Our Server "Randi" was very nice, attentive, and efficient. I originally wanted to order Steak & Eggs with a small pancake instead of bread, but was told that there was an extra charge for that. With the price of the S&E, I thought that was a bit high for the meal but then choose the Eggs Benedict. All in all, the food was very good quality and the Service Excellent. We will return on our next trip to try something else on the menu. read more

I take my family there for an occasional Sunday breakfast. Service is good and so is most of the food. I do have to say however that the Biscuits & Gravy are terrible. The biscuits are like mini biscuits. A bit too light & fluffy in my opinion. I wouldn't complain about that. But the gravy is crap. Gravy for biscuits and gravy is supposed to have pepper and small chunks of sausage. No sausage, no noticeable pepper, and it has a funky sour taste. Also, when it was served to me, there was barely enough gravy to cover the tiny biscuits. I asked them to add some gravy and it cost me an extra dollar. In the end, I paid seven dollars for just a SIDE of biscuits and gravy. It wasn't much food for the money and it's the worst biscuits and gravy I've ever eaten. I hate to complain about this place, because everything else I have had there has been good as well as the service. They just need to improve the biscuits and gravy before more customers get irritated by it like I was. read more

Awful. I had the cheeseburger. Described as a third pound. It was a super thin, dry as a bone, over cooked unseasoned patty. The bun was great. A real waste of a bun actually. The fries were pretty good. My husband had the fish fry. This is where it gets really bad! I don't think I've ever tasted such bad fish. I had to spit it out. Gortons fisherman is better than this. The food is good and the service is friendly. The prices are reasonable unless you make substitutions. The philly cheese steak special comes with a cup of soup (there is an upcharge for French fries). The fish sandwich comes with fries (there is an upcharge for soup)??? It's obviously not about the added cost of the item being substituted so the logical assumption is that they want to discourage customers from making substitutions. Both of the upcharges described above were clearly indicated in the menu. In addition, an extra tub of tarter sauce for the fish sandwich cost 50 cents. They are perfectly willing to make substitutions or provide extra condiments but you are going to pay for it. read more

Hubby and I just had an excellent lunch @ Susie's! We started with cups of soup. Chuck had beef barley, which he said was just OK, but my cheesy asparagus was a nice change from the usual cheesy broccoli. My soup was a perfect blend of cheese and delicately flavored asparagus. We followed with a fish sandwich (Chuck) and fried catfish (me). My catfish was fresh, hot, and perfectly seasoned. The sides were yummy coleslaw and American potato salad. This place is a sorry replacement for Susie's Home Cooking, which was worth the short detour. It's hard to ruin breakfast, in my opinion, but this place managed to do it. My companion and I both had a skillet--he the vegetarian, me the Diner 67. Both were barely edible. Old grease was used to make these dishes.The red potatoes were overcooked and stuck to the pan. Hash browns were dry. Best thing about the skillet was the toast. The first cup of coffee was extremely weak. Second cup tasted like the coffee was burned. Awful. The waitress never asked us how the food was, but offered boxes for the uneaten portions. We will not be leaving the interstate to give this place a second chance. It was that bad. I went here while I was on vacation and got their split pea soup/ soup of the day, this soup was absolutely delicious. They had iced coffee to drink and that was a first for me and it was unbelievably good it tasted like I just went to dunking donuts to get a iced coffee. Stopped by diner 67 when out riding my bike; on a nice spring morning. Have not eat'n hear since changing hands. The menu was varied in the items made. I was glad to see burgers that were less than a half pound. I got the 1/3 lb Bison burger with cheese. The bun was toasted nicely and the burger was nice a juicy. This is a great casual stop for good food. Well worth the mile trip off the freeway. Tuesdays they serve pasties and it was afternoon and the gut next to me had a really good looking breakfast!! Well, on a Sunday morning in October, in Lomira, WI, you're either dressed in your church attire, Packers' gear, or hunting camo...and you're apparently also eating at Susie's bc the place was hopping. We didn't have to wait long for a table, and the waitstaff (who all seemed to be teenage girls) were efficient, polite, and pleasant. Prices are reasonable, ingredients are fresh, and portions are large. We weren't impressed with the homemade hash, but The Boyfriend loved his monte cristo and said his eggs were fresh & perfectly cooked. My omelette was tasty and the veggies in it were fresh & plentiful. Wish it had had better cheddar cheese on top but other than that, yummy. The Boyfriend also wasn't impressed with the coffee but he's a coffee snob. I just liked that they had flavored coffee crack. I'm easy. We would definitely go back. read more

Stopped there for breakfast this morning when passing through. Second time I've stopped, both times for breakfast. Food is quite good. One of the few places that actually knows how to cook hash browns AND I'm pretty sure they were not frozen (pre-cooked, but not frozen). Nicely browned and tasty.
