This is why I do my nails at home. I want to preference this by saying I do not write reviews. I normally do my own nails at home, but I didn't have time this week and decided to try M&M due to their reviews. I got a pedicure w/gel and a full set w/ gel totaling to $100 w/o a tip. The pedicure was amazing, I have 0 complaints. However, my nails are atrocious. My nails were not prepped properly, my nature nails were not trimmed, my cuticles were not pushed back or tended to, the acrylic does not fill my entire nail, the shape is off, and their are bumps/streaks and the whole manicure felt rushed. BEWARE! (Read to the end) I have been to M-M nail spa many times because I had a favorite and excellent nail technician named Pam who has since left. I have been back several times because their hours are good, but I have always had substandard and rushed manicures and pedicures. They clearly do not think it is important their do a good job on their clients or to give them a decent pampering experience either. Today she literally gave me an arm and hand massage that lasted less than 2 minutes for both arms‼ I guess they don't realize that people are wanting the pampering experience as much as the nail Treatment. BUT TODAY, THE WORST PART WAS that she used unsanitized and used tools to give me a manicure‼ YIKES‼ The Emry board was clearly used on many people. Then she opened up a little case with her tools, and there was all sorts of nail residue and dust inside the case so I'm pretty sure she doesn't sanitize them. I was surprised to find that one of my nails had fungus under the nail, yet she still did not clean her tools after she worked on me. I have to wonder if the fungus was from the last time my nails were done there. read more

However, I started to peel the powder off my most recent manicure, and noticed dark spots under my nails. I had perfect natural nails before doing SNS/dip at this salon. For the price I paid, this is simply unacceptable. I have no idea what caused this but I am disappointed as I do not know if I need to consult with a doctor. Please be advised going to this location! Post Covid visit... first one in weeks. Called to make an appointment for mani/pedi. No problems making an appointment. We arrived and were asked if we had face masks? Not told over the phone we needed them. They were happy to provide one for us. Fantastic pedi (I got the one with the hot stones). Newer chairs with calf rests so no strain in holding your feet up when their working on your heals. So great to feel human again and get some pampering. I've missed getting a pedi so bad. read more

I am new to the area and decided to try MM NAILS for a full set . The girl who did them seemed more interested in talking to her friend. It was a non busy week day so there was no reason to rush. By the time she was finished it appeared that most of the nails were misshapen, the wrong size and had gaps. Also there was no treatment of the cuticle before during or after leaving gap of cuticle to acrylic noticable. I was traveling early the next morning so I was unable to address the issue. Yesterday I went back to have them removed as they were painful and things were catching on the rough edges and I was afraid germs would be able to get underneath and cause an issue. After waiting some time( busy sunday) the man who was supposed to SOAK them off just took the dremel and carved the acrylic off and most if my natural nail leaving them paper thin and painful. The nail tip was pryed and torn off with a used nail tip and clipper. I'm not at all comfortable using my fingers with tissue thin nails and one has a painful bruise on the nail bed under the nail. If I had thought they would just tear them off seriously damaging my nails I would have done it myself and not PAY to be destroying all my fingernails. Shame on me for not complaining but there will not be a next time. Some concern would have been appropriate but it was like I was bothering them. If say this place is a pretty good nail place in the pavilion! The staff is usually VERY friendly Unfortunately my old nail place closed down, so I had to find a new place to get my nails done. Me and my mom came here one day, and we were not disappointed at all! The environment is very pretty and nice, the place is usually crowded, so an appointment might not be a bad idea. They do take walk ins too! I get in usually as a walk in The staff is very friendly, but sometimes some of the staff sits around when there are people waiting to get helped. On December 8, at approximately 6:30 PM, I came in to M&M nails for a toe polish and a new set of gel nails. I knew they were close to closing and the owner made that clear, so I asked him if he'd please have time to squeeze me in. He said yes, and sent me over to a young lady for my toe polish. Although an hour left before closing, she rushed to get my toes polished as if she were in a contest. Once done, I instantly noticed that my big toe was very bumpy and the polish was not smooth, as gel polish should be. Because I had acrylic on my big toe, she was suppose to file it evenly and assure my nail bed was flat. I brought this to the owners attention before (he) started my nails. When the owner started my nails, he too, rushed like no other. It took him maybe 20-25 minutes to do a full set of nails. You could imagine how rushed of a job this was. I chose white as my solid base color. White has to be super neat because it's a light color and it shows well against my melanin skin. Not only was the polish sloppy, but none of my nails were properly shaped. It looked as if someone practiced their craft on my hands.... Not like a professional did their job properly. And definitely didn't look like $45 worth of work! I expressed my dissatisfaction to the owner regarding my toes. Unfortunately, I did not realize how bad my nails were until I left because he rushed me so bad to get out. He told me to "come back tomorrow and he would fix my toes." Because I was leaving for my family vacation the very next morning, I was unable to come back for a fix. Not to mention, I needed everything done correctly for the trip. I paid $100 for my bill and left. The owner didn't have change so he had to comp me $10 on my next visit. Today, January 8, 2022.... I am now back from my vacation and in need of a mani and pedi. Upon arriving, I immediately told the wife of my last experience and that I'd like them to fix the issue. I also showed pictures of the work from before. She said "okay" and my spouse and I proceeded to get our pedicures. My pedicure was great. Now it's time for my nails and the husband does my nails, which I was advised they'd "fix the issue from before" and it had to be the same tech that messed up the original set. He laid the acrylic then sent me to his wife for the polish because he stated she was better at the type of art I wanted. Before I proceeded with my last request of an eyebrow wax, I confirmed with the wife that my toes and nails would be taken care of in some form or fashion. She said I had to speak with her husband because she knew nothing about our last encounter, as she wasn't there. I asked her would she pay for the work they did and she never answered me! Of course not! Her husband comes out from the back, finally, and he instantly starts to scream and speak to me in an unruly tone. I was very embarrassed and shocked. He took off $10, which was owed to me from my change, and $10 more for the bad nail and toe job previously. $10?????? I paid $100 my last visit and $157 today! I told him I wasn't pleased with that decision and he asked me "what did I want, everything free?" ABSOLUTELY NOT! As a business owner myself, I totally understand the value of their work and I never take that for granted! However, I am a paying customer and I value my dollar as well. I literally walked away twice now, totally upset with my services and feeling like I wasted money. I'm an educator. I work very hard for everything I have. The issue was never the amount. It was the principal of the matter. He finally agreed to half off of my nails ONLY, which still doesn't satisfy me. I was truly never compensated for the horrible jobs before today. The end result was a decent set of acrylics, no appointment necessary. There was a lot of glue left under my nails and my friends nails, which I almost said something about but hesitated to and regret now. Since I said nothing at the salon, I shouldn't be complaining about it but I didn't feel comfortable saying anything then. The nail tech who did my friends nails asked what kind of Asian she is and made a face when she said that she's Filipino, which made her uncomfortable and frustrated. I've been coming here for almost 8 months now, every two weeks. Price is very fair for the service and quality. My technician made a mistake one time due to the polish I chose not drying correctly and it was fixed immediately. Everyone is friendly. They do get busy during peak hours so If you don't want to wait make an appointment. If you don't like something speak up. I asked for a different color on my hands ...both polishes must have be old as it was thick and didn't flow onto the nails. This resulted in polish that wouldn't dry And gouged easily. After retouches on two nails, it still wouldn't dry. Mimi did offer to repolish, but who has time for that...she said it takes over 40 minutes to dry...nothing was going to dry that polish. My sister, daughter and I went here for a mani-pedi in a quiet tuesday. Most of the technicians were idle, playing on their phones. Our pedicure's went fine. Then the technician convinced me to get the gel manicure, insisting that it lasts 3-5 weeks. Having never had a gel manicure before, I agreed. 3 days later the polish on my forefinger peeled off. I went back and had the lady fixed it-while working on my hand, she kept playing on her phone! Really!? Then, the next day the polish on my thumb peeled off!! Soooo frustrated!!! Now tonite I go with a friend, each for a pedi, we sat and waited, and waited, while the water our feet were in went cold. I've been several times and had relatively good experiences - nothing amazing and nothing bad - until I got Bella for my tech. Let me tell you, if you want a good pedicure, she is your girl for sure. I've been getting pedicures regularly for over 20 years and she, by far has exceeded all others. Bella also does my nails, I get the powder dip in French. They wear great and look really natural. I had two services done here my pedicure, which was awesome! And a fill in on my acrylics w/ gel polish. The woman that did my nails, lisa, was extremely rough. Her dremel was turned up so high it was burning my nail beds. I asked her to shorten my nails a little, "however much grew" were my exact words.. she didn't shorten them at all, my nails are dull not shiney at all, and most of them are crooked. I asked for coffin shape and left with them rounded. If she didn't want to do my nails or was too busy then she should have told me that instead of rushing. I went initially for a gel polish change and was charged $20. I decided to go back for another gel polish change and a woman named "Eve" spoke to me with complete disregard!!!! She stated there was a $5 additional charge to remove the gel polish before they completed the new polish change.
