My taxes may have been filed correctly, but the communication was not clear. I did not want 2026 quarterly estimated tax payments set up, and I never understood that this was what was happening. I believed the amounts shown were a payment plan for my 2025 taxes, not separate 2026 estimated payments. Because of the language barrier and the lack of a clear explanation, I did not understand what I was agreeing to. As a result, more money was taken from my account than I expected, which caused me to become overdrafted. When I reached out to get help resolving the issue, I was hoping they would at least acknowledge the misunderstanding and try to make it right in some way. Instead, when I spoke with William at the end, he was very unhelpful and basically made me feel like I was just out of luck. I was told there was nothing they could do, that I needed to deal with my bank myself to block future payments, and that they would not offer even a partial refund. That response is a big part of why I decided to leave this review. If they had simply handled the miscommunication better, shown some understanding, and at least offered a partial refund or some effort to make things right, I honestly think I would have been okay. On top of that, I feel the $700 fee was too high for the level of service and communication I received. Accuracy is important, but so is making sure your client actually understands what is being filed and what payments are being set up. Overall, I left this experience feeling confused, unsupported, and financially stressed. I understand mistakes can happen, but the way this was handled afterward was unacceptable. I would not use this firm again.

But when he finally got our return done weeks later, he made a big mistake that could've easily been avoided, which resulted in us owing $4k more in taxes, and then he had the gall to blame it on me. Considering the amount of time I spent making sure that he was working on our return and having to review it, I might as well have done it myself. The only silver lining was that his rate was low, but I also got what I paid for. (I did not provide you with two documents with conflicting info. One was a spreadsheet that I prepared that had my mortgage payments as part of my expenses. The other was the actual tax form from my lender with the mortgage interest amount which was the number that was supposed to be inputted. It was an oversight on your part. We found this Wells Fargo on Walnut Grove just a few minutes from the food court where we were heading. And it's in the same shopping center as Walmart. Funny, I have been a SGVer for the last 4+ decades and I have never shopped at Walmart out in SGV... maybe because I am normally out here to eat and shop for Asian stuff LOL. Anyway, this Wells Fargo has two ATMs for use. It doesn't look like a big bank from the outside, but looks can be deceiving. It was a very quick ATM visit indeed. Looks pretty clean outside. However, what caught my eyes were the two trash bins nearby adjacent to the bank. Not sure if the trash bins belong to the bank... I doubt it, but they were nicely covered so they don't appear to be trash bins. I'll be back to use this bank when on the south side of SGV. Yes, there is also a Wells Fargo on the north side that I use LOL. Gotta cover all compass of banks.
