So it's been over a year since my wedding, and the ladies just posted a few "trash the dress"…read morephotos on Facebook (our session was only yesterday!!) and I might just die from excitement. But I should probably back up to where we left off: To recap, Red Carpet Studios gives you two gals, all day, as many spots as you like, for the day of the wedding. The women are talented and will do their best to capture all angles of your wedding (romantic, fun, wild, endearing, vibrant, etc). And they're fun to be around. I really really wanted to get the photo books for the parents in time for the holidays so that we could present them in person. Monica worked incredibly hard touching up the photos, presenting me with ideas and options. To the point that we were emailing photos and ideas in the middle night! Every time I got a new batch of photos to look at I was always more impressed and more excited. Thanks to Monica's help (& Monica & Stephanie for taking such great photos) the books turned out great!! (for the sake of full disclosure there was a tiny border issue after printing which Monica had fixed immediately. She was willing to do everything to make our experience & the books perfect, and the border thing wasn't even her fault!) Our parents trotted the books all over America for a good three months showing them to everyone they could. Actually i should check my mother purse, the book might still be in there.... Two thumbs up for the small books, now on to our album. I was supposed to pick maybe 80 photos, I think I narrowed our 800+ photos down to about 200. Otherwise, the book planning process was easy; pick a list of photos, send list to Monica, get a full design back. The design had cover options, lay out options, and what Monica recommended. With only 1 or 2 tweaks we were done with the design and our order was off to Italy. What we got back is the best wedding album I have ever seen. This 14"x10" (rough dimensions) leather bound album with a photo as the cover is fantastic. I don't have to do anything, this beauty shows itself off!! I love flipping through all the old photos. Not only did these ladies take fantastic photos of us they captured the people we love. Some of the best photos that I have of grandfather, may he rest in peace, are from this wedding. He was so vibrant at the wedding, and they really captured that. The wedding album is extraordinary. Part of the package we got included an engagement shoot, but instead I wanted to do a "trash the dress" session. A session where we get to take photos we might have been afraid to take the day of the wedding / a chance to wear my dress again!! The past year has been kind of crazy and I really appreciate that the girls didn't pressure me into doing the shoot right away. It allowed me to time to prepare for the shoot, save money for flowers, hair & make-up. My first objective was that the shoot had to involve horses (which I do not currently own) and I wasn't comfortable just renting any old pony out. Lucky for us, the girls have a friend who was nice enough to let us use her horse in the photos. The photo shoot was a grand old day sitting/rolling/laying in the grass, and feeding apples to Dollar (the horse). We had a lot of fun and I was looking forward to seeing photos. I am absolutely blown away by the photos they posted today.. I mean, I have always loved their work, but these pictures take my breath away, and I AM IN THEM!!!!! I hope these girls can tolerate me, because when I need amazing photos I know exactly who to call. I definitely think you should call them too :)

She instantly made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. In just 30 minutes, we got dozens of incredible photos that we were able to use all over our wedding website, save the dates, guestbook, and in frames. We loved her editing style - natural with a pop of color. We ended up booking her because we loved her positive energy and felt so confident in her organization. We truly felt like she would be able to run the show and gracefully navigate any situation that the wedding day could throw at us. Our full length engagement session was just as amazing, fun, and high quality, generating more content for our wedding invitations, website, and more. In the lead up to the wedding, we were able to talk and text with Ashley several times to clarify wedding details and she helped us set our full timeline, which directed all of our vendors. Now onto wedding day, Ashley and Tyler executed the photo timeline in stride. Ashley made us feel just as comfortable as our engagement sessions, making it fun, and serving as an additional wedding coordinator and bridesmaid. She cleaned up champagne with her dress and glass out of the aisle, climbed into the bushes to grab the perfect shots in the Vineyard, and helped bustle the wedding dress to make it in time for the grand entrance. Tyler even weeded sections of the Vineyard and ensured the dress train was fanned beautifully for every shot. Because of our experience with Ashley, we tell everyone that the most important piece of the wedding is finding an excellent photographer with the experience, confidence, and style to execute the vision of their dreams. I am blown away with how great our photos turned out. Rachel captured our magical day, and our…read morephotos look straight out of a fairytale. She made me feel beautiful, and was really fun to work with. She took my ideas and created masterpieces. Her use of light an color really created a dreamscape of the setting, while also capturing our personalities and our love. I dont know that I've ever seen photos where people are caputed so beautifully as well as the setting. The retouching and editing on our photos was also top-tier! Our site was at a historic location with all kinds of safety signs, fire extinguishers, cones with those yellow plastic chains. I told her that I wanted to do a shoot in the library and she went ahead of time to check it out for us. He began to feel very comfortable and starting having fun. We ended up having so much fun with Meghan and ended up taking tons of silly and great photos. We recently hired Christa for our engagement and wedding photographs. We received our engagement…read morephotographs and they were amazing! I would recommend Christa for only elopement or engagement photographs. It snowed on our wedding as we had wished for. The venue was outside due to the incredible backdrop the site had. We unfortunately didn't get a view of this because the photographs were white in the background. Christa blamed it on fog etc, but it's funny family members using their cell phones were able to capture the beautiful view. There was no instructions by Christa and the second photographer we had hired. It shows in the photos, because no one is captured looking forward as they walked to and from the ceremony. She did not capture the ring exchange either. Most of the ceremony pictures are from far away or from the side. I have never seen this before. Very disappointing! Prior to the ceremony, Christa and her Photgrapher showed up after we were all ready. I had given her our timeline weeks prior to the wedding. She also made the guys late to the ceremony site and when the lodge coordinators tried to tell her we needed to do the first touch, she became irritated and rolled her eyes. Our first touch was horrible! Again, no "look here" or do this. Showed when we received our photos. At the reception she used a flash indoors which caused a lot of bright white out photos. There were no bouquet photos taken either. We were completely disappointed. When hiring a photographer you trust them to capture your one in a life time memories. This was not the case. We have missed photos. We have a lot of cut off head photos and far away photos. We did not receive a lot of after ceremony photographs outside either. Was very rushed. I later learned from family members that Christa was complaining about how cold it was. This would explain the rush and not very many photos. I only post this because I want people to know what we experienced and not be disappointed like we were. She was not worth $4200.

My husband was super hesitant to take our engagement photos because he feels uncomfortable behind the camera (as do I) but he will be the first to tell you how much fun it was spending the day at Point Reyes getting our photos taken by Christa. Her carefree, fun loving spirit (and great music!) made it easy for us to relax in front of the lens. We both had aduce a great time, however I was convinced my awkwardness still managed to ruin the photos. A few weeks later, she delivered our gallery and we were both left speechless. The photos are nothing short of incredible which should mean a lot coming from a self conscious lady and a camera shy guy! Fast forward to the day of our wedding when the nerves are getting the best of me... I'm having fun getting ready with my girls, but at the same time feeling rather uncomfortable with all the attention being focused on me. The second Christa walked into the suite the mood changed. She brought such a great energy into the room and I think we all noticed the vibe change for the better. Maybe it was coincidence, but probably not because my feet hurt, I was nauseous and just wanted it to be reception time! Her fun, calm spirit was truly a blessing in this moment. I received numerous compliments from the bridal party, family, and a few of the guests who interacted with Christa as to how nice and friendly she was. We received our wedding gallery promptly after returning home and similar to the engagement photos - I have no words! My husband and I scrolled through the gallery several times just laughing, crying, embracing and reminiscing on all the moments from our wedding day.
