What sets this place apart is, the owner and test technician are HONEST and don't do anything crooked. This is why I recommend them to thousands of my Volvo customers a year needing smogs. If you want to bribe someone to pass a dirty car, look elsewhere. If you want an honest smog, M S Discount is your place. Ask about a retest if your car doesn't pass. They don't sell repairs or steer you to a crooked affiliate shop for repairs. All they do here is smog checks. They are a Test Only station, so they can do any type of routine smog check you need. Business is brisk with the DMV right down the street, but the wait is seldom very long. 11 to 3 or 4 seem to be their peak hours, if you want to plan ahead and beat the rush. read more

Have been coming here for years. It is nice to never need an appointment. We have a few older (1990s) cars and sometimes they need something fixed and this place is nice enough to test the car with a diagnostic reader before charging you money just for your car to fail. Sometimes there is a slight wait but it's close enough to my house that I just come back if there's more than 3 people ahead of me. Always friendly and helpful. read more

Went here without an appt. Waited about 15 minutes before I was seen. The smog took about 17 minutes total. Fast friendly service. Smog was $60 but there was no rush or long line of people and its across the street from the dmv. read more
