Star certified smog test and repair shop. I came here for a smog test and my car failed which I knew there was a good chance it was gonna fail. They suggested lower cost fixes to see if it would help. After determining there was something wrong they were able to diagnose and fix the problem helping me pass smog before my tags expired. I had a coolant flush service ($200.00) They did not use the appropriate coolant based on my vehicles manufacturer, when I noticed and called to ask about it, they gave me the run around: they said the color didn't matter and they have green, yellow, red, all the colors and that was about it. My vehicles manufacturer/owner manual as well as auto zone clearly shows a orange coolant is recommended for my car. Based on research green is the cheapest and most common with older engines. I didn't appreciate the way they responded and this was not a cheap service. Maybe I should've requested the orange coolant from the beginning but I trusted them to do their due diligence. It sucks, not a great customer service experience and now I'm not confident the service was worth it. We're not all car experts okay! Help a girl out! read more

I had a good experience going in without an appointment because I needed a SUV battery installed in a hurry. They did the install very fast and it was not an easy install. They did not rip me off at all. I actually could not believe that I was not ripped off yet again by a company, contractor or handyman because I have always been ripped off by every single job I had to hire out. Told them that the mechanic at the dealership told me all codes were clear and it was ready to be tested. Took my car elsewhere and passed in under 5 minutes. Customer service here wasn't great either, alot of attitude and lack of effort to explain things and to help customers. Waste of time. I had a flat tire. The service person found it without taking the wheel off the car. He just lifted the car on a rack jack and found a chunk of rubber missing. Then he sprayed some water on the hole to demonstrate me where the air was coming from. He didn't charge me for the visit. He was communicative and positive. read more

We took our 2000 Toyota Camry for an oil change, transmission flush, and wheel alignment on March 19, 2021. Our first encounter was with David, who helped answer our questions. We initially came for an oil change and wheel alignment but were recommended for transmission fluid change; after visual inspection and confirmation with car requirements, we agreed to add service. The service was fast, and our rep and mechanic, David, was very friendly. We had a long drive back to Barstow, CA and David made sure the vehicle was in shape to go the distance. We also brought our son's car, a 2017 Honda, later on, day to inspect the tire gauge sign, and David was very courteous and checked all tires and filled them with air; he as far as made sure there were no leaks by removing the rear tire to inspect. As a small business owner myself, the quality of service and customer service are essential to success. The pricing model was moderate and not too expensive. I want to thank David personally for their excellent service, and I hope management acknowledges this young man. I took my work van in to get a smog check. It failed, which is not their fault, but the diagnostic afterward was a whopping $75 bucks, and no free retest unless they perform the repairs. I had dropped the van off at 10am, and didn't get a call until 3pm with the diagnostic results. I live two blocks away, and drove by there in my commuter car twice, only to see my van sitting there with a diagnostic scope on the front seat, but nobody working on it. They had obviously finished the diagnostic hours earlier, and just sandbagged it to make it appear more complicated than it actually was. The worst part was the repairs they recommended and the astronomical price they wanted to charge. They said I needed a new injector which would cost $708, and a tune up which would cost $395!?! WTF? Who in their right mind would pay $400 bucks for a friggin tune up? I told them that there was no way I was paying that and went and picked up my van, which cost me $135 for a failed smog check and bootleg diagnostic. read more

I've been coming here for years. I found this place through my dad which found this place by his dad. I use to have a 1971 510 Datsun. I took it to different mechanics & Hi-Tech was the only one that made it run right. Then I had a 2004 Ford. Now I have a 2008 Toyota. The owners here don't try & screw you around. They explain everything in detail. And they don't steal stuff out of your car. They are nice & get the job done well. I feel the prices are good overall. And when I ask them how long until my car is done, they are usually right. As a woman, I can appreciate them not trying to jack me around. I would give this place 2 thumbs up! read more
