I must say today's experience has been great... i have been getting my truck smog checked here since they opened. Every time has been great, but this time my truck was leaking oil. They were able to help me with my smog check and let me know what was wrong with my truck all the way around. I needed an oil change and they took care of it no problem. Also was able to tell me which tire pressure sensor was bad and was able to tell me about my stability track. On top of all of that they topped off all my oil and fluids. Check all of my filters. It was just a really good experience that I haven't had from a repair shop in a very long time not even the dealer does it like that anymore. I really appreciate how transparent they are. These guys are super stars and this is an overdue review. So most recently, my brakes were loud and squeaky. I could hear the grinding on the rotors. Yikes! I got ridiculous quotes and timeline to get my brakes and rotors replaced from a few other places. (Faceslap...I shouldn't have even bothered with the other places at all!) SSA Haus were reasonable, timely, thorough, honest and no pressure, no sneaky upsales. They didn't talk down to me or be condescending because I was a girl. Never going anywhere else to get my car fixed, except here. They do EVERYTHING! My 13-yo SUV runs nice and smoother and isn't squealing anymore! I went in to get a smog test done towards the end of the day, half expecting a grumpy "come back later" treatment. Instead, Alvin took me in and got it done in under 20 minutes. I was most impressed with how he chatted me up with advice about the car, none of which was a pitch to upsell his services other than recommending an alignment since I have new tires on order with Costo (Costco doesn't do alignments). Judging by all the custom imports they were working on, they are truly passionate about cars. These guys can't get anything wrong! Everything they've touched have always come out great! This is the 2nd car I've aligned with them and they get it done and done right. You can tell the team has a great passion for the work they do and are very knowledgable. Made an appt for an alignment with Binh and got seen a couple of hours later (he also responded to my online question in a few minutes), my lifted SUV was finished in a couple of hours and I was given a great explaination on the end results by Kuo. The SUV has never driven better and is ready for some overlanding and other challenges! Don't hesitate, if you have an alignment issue or probably anything else they're also good at, they are the ones that will track it down and get it done right! Just skip everyone else and come here. I went in for an alignment and everything was good until it wasn't. This shop was the last to touch my vehicle and as I was driving some of my suspension bolts came loose. I didn't want a refund, I didn't want to sound like one of those annoying customers. I just wanted my car fixed and secure. Couldn't even do that without saying "you want us to do double work" I just wanted the work done right the first time. I had to waste time from work, waste gas, and more over my car isn't fixed. Now I have to pay someone else to do another alignment and I don't feel safe driving my car. They were great at the beginning and the guy who greeted me was basically screaming at me telling me they didn't touch it. What a waste of time and energy. Won't ever come back here again. By far worst costumer service I have ever received. I never write reviews but this shouldn't have been left the way it was. I will be contacting the BBB. Took my 4Runner here to get a viper cut an and oil change. Dropped off my 4Runner and got a call from Kuo that told me the viper cut was done but he found a lot of oil leaking in the 4Runner. There was leaking in oil pan, skid, and other areas of the engine. He also told me the bolts are stripped on the skid. He recommended that I should reach out to the dealership since the mileage on my 4Runner is low. The dealership ended up repairing my 4Runner for a timing cover leak and Kuo was correct regarding the warranty. Found this place through a YouTube video while searching how to cure my tires from rubbing on the inner cab mount and couldn't be happier. I don't doubt that these guys are good at what they do. Their yelp review proves that. However, the experience I had with them today was just terrible. Unfortunately, the RPM garage in Monrovia, my go-to place for my Overlanding journey, is so booked up that their next available spot is in mid-May. So one of my good friends referred SSA HAUS to me. I decided to give them a ring on Tuesday to make an appointment. Everything went smoothly. I explained what kind of services I needed and made an appointment for Friday at 9:00 AM. The service I requested was: 1) An oil change. 2) A front differential fluid change. 3) Swapping the 600lb king springs to 650lb springs I recently bought. 4) Changing the factory battery to an Odyssey 34R battery. 5) The alignment. They told me that they don't stock the Odyssey batteries in stock, but they could get it in a day or two and required that I put a deposit over the phone to order it. I did just that. Before hanging up, I asked them how long this would take, and they said it would take a full day to finish. Based on my experience with RPM Garage, I thought it would take no longer than 4 hours to finish all that, but I didn't think much of it. I dropped off the rig at the shop at exactly 9:00 AM today. When I got there, I was not sure what his name was, but the only mechanic who was there at the time came and helped me check-in. He told me they ordered the Odyssey battery yesterday (Thursday), and he wasn't sure if it would be delivered by today (Friday). I was thinking to myself; I thought I put a deposit to order this on Tuesday. So why would they order it on Thursday? But again, I didn't think much of it. I told him that if it doesn't get delivered by the end of the day, let's do the battery at some other time. I took the Uber to Norwalk Enterprise (the nearest rental car that has a car available). Then, I rented a car and drove back to Koreatown to my work. I still had to take the Uber from Norwalk Enterprise to SSA HAUS after dropping off the rental car, so at 3:00 PM, I was getting ready to pack up. I got a call from SSA HAUS around 3ish, saying they can't finish the work today and the battery will not be delivered any time soon because the Odyssey batteries are back-ordered. I was okay with the battery because I knew that it would most likely not be delivered today based on my earlier conversation. However, I couldn't believe what I was hearing. The guys said this is too much work, and he needs more than a day to finish all that. 1) An oil change. (30~45mins) 2) A front differential fluid change. (20mins) 3) Swapping the 600lb king springs to 650lb springs. (1~2hours) 4) The alignment. (1hour) Really? 2 days for that? I asked the guy, what have you completed as of now? (3:00 PM), he said, "the oils." At this point, I didn't want to deal with these guys any longer. So I told them if they can't finish the work by today, let's just leave it at "the oils," and I will pick up my truck today. And then he says, "oh, I have to tell my guys to reassemble everything because we took the coils out already." I thought I would get charged for the hours they put in to remove the coils, so I had no choice but to tell them that I would wait until tomorrow to pick up the truck. Then we hung up. I realized that my apartment gate opener was in the truck, so I drove to SSA HAUS and got there around 4:30 PM. As soon as I get there, I see my truck at the exact location, in the same manner as I'd dropped off at 9:00 AM. I walked up to the guy who checked me in at 9:00 AM and asked him what was going on? Was nothing done to my truck? He points at the jeep he is working on and tells me, "this is taking longer than expected, so we couldn't do anything to your truck." My truck was untouched. Nothing was done. All that story he was telling me an hour ago was straight bullshit. I was so frustrated, but I just told him that I'd be back to pick up my truck after I drop off the rental car. Again, I drove to Norwalk Enterprise, dropped off the rental car, called Uber, and went back to SSA HAUS a little after 5:15 PM. This is when another bullshit happens. As I was walking in to get my key, another guy approached me with my key and tells me, "sorry, we thought this was your truck (points at a cement gray Tacoma), so we've been working on this one. instead of yours." What kind of bullshit story is this? That cement Tacoma was not even there when I got there at 9:00 AM and when I got there at 4:30 PM. That cement Tacoma you guys were supposedly working on all day just arrived between the time when I went to drop off the rental car. All they do is lie after lie after lie. One guy tells me one story, another guy tells me an even more absurd story. So I guess the cement tacoma was there for the same exact service as I was huh? Because of this nonsense, I lost about $250 (Uber, rental car, gas) and half of my day driving back and forth. For fucking nothing! read more

I was referred to Kuo by the Americas tire in the Long Beach town center. I had gone to have my tires rotated but they said they would not be able to due to possible alignment issues. Americas tire told me the alignment would probably cost me $60 but when I called to speak to Kuo, the updated price was $85 but with a referral -$10 bringing it to $75 bucks. It had to be done so I quickly headed over there. It was a really hot day but they had a small lobby area with a fan that kept the area comfortable. My husband, baby and I enjoyed some cool refreshments while they worked on my car. This is probably the first place hat offers actual sodas and water bottles. Also, for a car servicing place, it was kept very clean. Kuo was very thorough with the examination of my car alignment and identified some other areas for concern. Since I don't know car jargon, I asked him to write it all on my ticket so I could bring it to my mechanic for an estimate. He wrote everything out clearly after the Show and tell of problems and I was cleared to go. The service was fantastic and Kuo was very professional and explained things so I can better understand. My alignment was definitely off and that is why I had to replace all my tires. Never knew it would be such a big problem. So glad I was referred her to service this issues.
