The worst attitude. If you don't like his price, he tosses your key down and says "Fine" angrily. He tried to sucker me into do all kinds of Extra work that wasn't necessary. Told me the tire was shot and I had to get a new one from him for $150. Refused and went to a tire shop where they fixed it for $20. Told me the car needed all kinds of other work. The way that he operates inspires immediate trust which is a big deal for women who have to see the mechanic alone. I was able to get same day tire service which was of the utmost importance to me and something I kind of took for granted that I could get anywhere. I waited with a long time repeat customer (Dante) in the lounge who was beyond awesome as well. By far the best service I've ever received!!! My Mercedes desperately needed a new caliber, rotor, and break pads before a big roadtrip and they hooked me up! The workers are so nice and as a girl who heavily avoids going to the mechanic, I felt safe and comfortable! This is a update to my previously posted review. I returned after not having a pleasant experience and not having the work done that had been requested. Max, the owner was kind enough to follow up with me and apologize for my unpleasant experience. Upon my return, he comped the service I had originally gone for with no charge. A very kind gesture on his part indeed! However, there was no apology from the rep who originally offended me by being rude and disrespectful which I feel is very poor customer service. Hence, the average (3) rating. I've been a long time customer of Leo and Sons and have spent thousands of dollars over the years, some of which has surely helped pay his salary. It should be a simple thing to admit fault and apologize when your working with customers on a daily basis. It makes it awkward and tense to be there now with that person. read more

I remember coming here about 6 years ago since I had a tire issue when I crashed my truck, but today i was in the area and I hit my rim and I called the nearest tire shop, wow! I had a bad smell in my car which was a dead rat stuck in the air filter I was so impressed with the kindness, sweet, and most understanding people I've ever dealt with at a car service repair shop. This place is a JOKE. Took my car there a month ago and they had to run a test to make sure of the problem, I get that. They were going to charge me $90. Didn't get it done because of my schedule. Went back yesterday and they said they had to run a test on it, which means they just hook it up to a computer. I said ok. They wanted to over charge me for the and Only give me a 60 warranty, this was for my transmission. I shopped around and found out that I was being way over charged with no warranty. Told them I would pick my car up and they charged me $180 for the test. When b4 it was $90. They just hook it up to the computer no extra wk for they. I recommen For anyone not to go there. So much for prior ownership when things were good. First time back in a while under new management and things are NOT how they used to be. Came in for an oil pan gasket change for $1530. Could have gone elsewhere for less but decided to help out a small business. It was promised to me Friday afternoon after dropping it off mid day Thursday. I call in Friday after 4pm and I'm told the mechanic went home after lunch and wasn't coming back. But they didn't bother to tell me until I CALLED. Then they told me they couldn't get it to me until Monday when the mechanic returned. This caused several issues because I was down one car. Ok, come Monday I call again around 4 pm and yes... you guessed it. Still not down because the mechanic (apparently there is only one mechanic here or something) couldn't stay any longer and had to go home. I couldn't believe it. Now I'm told Tuesday around lunch. But again I don't get a call until after 3 pm with a 10% (roughly) discount for my troubles. 10%??!!!! Seriously!! So I asked for the manager to call me and I'm told he will. Surprise surprise... he doesn't. And when I finally come in to get my car... there's a check engine light on and nothing can be done because the manager, Max, won't answer his phone or return a phone call!!!! This is what I get for trying to help out a small business. Further to follow.... Got the manager to check out my car the next day and he said the transmission fluid needed to be changed but when I spoke to his employee, Jay, he told me it was a modulator that controls my lights. Again, none of that was present before dropping my car off... that and a new 2" scratch on the driver side door. Seriously, don't bring your car here. Save yourself the money and the trouble. I took my 2020 Harley-Davidson Breakout (salvaged title) for a Brake & Light inspection. Victor was great from the very start, explaining the process and cost. He also explained the possibility that it may not pass due to the aftermarket parts I've used to restore it. I appreciate that he was honest and straightforward from the beginning. My catalytic converter got stolen a couple of weeks ago. My insurance tried to send me somewhere so far that i just didn't feel safe driving too with my car sounding like that. So i called Leo's and sons and Justin answered the phone and thank god for him cause him and the crew made everything so easy for me. They picked up my truck. Didn't give me the run around. Told me that the catalytic converter for my car was backed order and that it could take a couple of months. But they could install a straight pipe so that i can drive. Of course for a price but not alot. It wasn't even a week after i no or my truck back. They called me and said the parts canes in! They were able to pick up my truck again from work. And even sent me a lift driver to pick me up to pick up my car. I'm so thankful for how easy they made everything. Thanks guys! read more

Bought an engine from them because it came with 3 year warranty..still have receipt but will not honor the warranty ...they said when I brought the car in it was low on oil so that voided the warranty...the thing is the engine threw a rod thru the block anyone that knows engines could tell u a car that throws rod out the block will be low oil....that's because the block is cracked and oil was gushing out. Getting that Brake and lamp inspected on my motorcycle for DMV and CHP.... This turned out to be a rip off and a nightmare. They failed my LED lights and lenses because they didn't have DOT the lenses. The ORIGINAL lights don't have tat on them yet I have to find some and have lights re-inspected (which is NOT FREE) I understand they are trying to make a buck but wow. NO DOT ANYWHERE The dealership lenses don't have DOT. If you buy the lenses from the dealer it only has it written on the package. They got my paperwork wrong. Instead of putting 2017 on the paperwork they put 2005. So it's basically useless. If I could give this place a negative review I would give them a -5 for wasting my time and taking my money. I have been going to Leo and sons over 5-years . They have very good kind caring knowledgeable front desk reps and mechanics . The mechanics really know and have a lot of experience and knowledge on vehicles and the front desk keeps you informed on your vehicle . They work with you all the around your car . And the owner max is really a great and kind and caring person who works with his customers besides justin the rep and the manager also. Overall I had a great and good experience with them. I always refer them to my riders I am a part time Uber driver. So please go check them out you won't be disappointed but happy with the service. From start to finish our experience has been amazing. My wife and I have been driving all the way from Huntington Beach to get our cars maintained by Leo & Son Garage for several years. We pass all the dealerships (boulevard of cars, Cerritos Auto Square) and pull up to locally owned L&S and know we are in good hands. We have saved significant money with each visit and have extended the life of our vehicles. We have had our new tires rotated and balanced, oil changes, certified for smog checks, worked on electrical wiring, lights checked, brakes serviced, 75k mile maintenance, AC repaired and replaced battery. Highly recommend them and completely trust them with keeping our car well maintained and safe. I've used them for smog checks on all my cars as well as oil changes. Upfront prices that are very fair and they always do a good job. I had just replaced the battery on my Jeep before a smog check, they ran a diagnosis on the Jeep prior to the smog check and told me it would not pass until I'd driven more miles. This saved me time and money upfront. I did as they asked and brought it back, they checked again and it was ready to go.
