I've had really good food here and I love the tonkatsu pad thai but I'm really disturbed by the business practice of the place. The owner adds a two dollar fee to each of his take out orders, after the tip and total are figured. That is against the law. I don't understand it and it seems shady. It's a total turn off and causes me to find another restaurant. Would you rather make fifty dollars on a take out order or jack up the price by two? Sorry, I will take my business elsewhere. read more

Chicken was burnt, double cooked and dry as the sahara desert with no water. I tell them the issue and they still charge full price although i left most of the chicken on the plate. Roll to start off was promising but unfortunately will not be back. read more

We tried M Thai on a date night and we couldn't have chosen a better restaurant. We felt at home as soon as we walked through the door. We were seated quickly and given as much time as we needed to look over the menu. We ordered appetizers that were delicious. For our main courses we had duck pho and the crispy pad Thai, which was amazing. We didn't order dessert but I'm sure it would've been great. This good eats, hands down you will enjoy the food and service, making it a whole experience. The place is spacious, plenty of room to seat a large crowd and the staff is truly attentive and top notch. We were a party of 5 on a Sunday afternoon, it was slow/quiet but not in a bad way. The team working were all smiles and genuine offering the perfect level of attention and not bothering you so you could eat and enjoy conversation. I really like this place because it's constant. And constant goes a long way however they have changed how they prepare the spice of the dishes which I don't like but doesn't detract from the overall food experience just a point I'd like to make. Whereas before when you'd ask for a particular spice level, now they just toss in a container of red chili flakes and make me do it. Also thiers trend in the Asian food industry to not give you any waterchestnuts even though it's still on all the menus but at least here they still give you them; thank God. When you order they give you a time to be there to pick up your food and its pretty much spot on. So give this place a try for your curry needs. read more

It's a newly opened restaurant. Nice ambiance with friendly and attentive wait staff. 3 of us got the steak pho, broth was authentic, clean tasting and delicious! Had a stronger flavor of star anise. A little pricey in my opinion but worth it. I asked for an extra side of broth, it's $3.. the bowl didn't have much broth, I'm used to eating pho with broth filled all the way to the top of the bowl. I love Me some Pho! The fact this place is called M-Thai should have been warning enough. I have NEVER had a Pho with cooked beef! The whole point is to cook the beef in the broth, WTF did this come with grey, over cooked, flavourless CHUNKS of nasty beef is beyond Me! The broth was mediocre and lacking the depth of flavour one would normally expect from a Vietnamese place. Also, WAY OVERPRICED! read more

Went here for my mom's birthday. This is one of our favorite restaurants. The interior is beautiful and the staff is always extremely friendly. We got crab rangoon, which is crunchy and had the perfect texture on the inside. The fresh rolls are also amazing and have great flavor and texture. My dad got the orange chicken, my brother got the Tongkasu Pad Thai, my mom got some type of spectacular curry, my sister got Pad See Ew, and they all loved their meals. I had the steak pho, which is just amazing. The steak and noodles are the perfect texture, and the broth is very rich. I would definitely recommend. read more

The food was good, but far too spicy. I ordered it with mild spice, and was barely able to eat any of it. Even as someone who enjoys spice, this was much more than I could handle. It might have just been something going on that day, because the gentleman at the table behind me complained about the exact same thing just minutes after I got my food. My friend was practically in tears from the food but our waitress took this as a good thing and also denied a refund for the man behind us. This is my new favorite Thai place! Love the papaya salad! This is a large, beautiful restaurant, and the owner is very kind and personable. I have been twice, and both times everything I got was delicious. The spice level is customizable, and hotter than the typical Thai restaurants in Maine, so unless you love the burn, maybe err on the mild side the first time you eat here. You'll want to come back, I promise! Most of the dishes come with your choice of protein (tofu, chicken, shrimp, beef, etc.), and there's a nice variety of appetizers, soups, salads, curries, and specials. So far, each dish has been distinct. You know how in some places, the sauces are all sort of the same? Not here! Beer, wine, cider and cocktails are available. read more

Best Thai we've had in a long time. The service was warm and welcoming. If we lived in Bangor, this would be a regular place for us.

Just moved to Maine and this is by FAR my favorite restaurant. Absolutely love the crispy chicken fried rice. Definitely go!!
