Friday night here isn't optional, it's on the Reminders app right next to Henry's football practice…read moreschedule, and we check it off with the same relief every week. Henry gets the mini corn dogs, has for years, though we've now heard whispers that once they're out, they're gone for the rest of time, no substitutions, which has turned his order into something closer to a small bet. I get the same thing every time: the 10 inch personal pizza, pepperoni and onions, and two PBR liters. I've never once considered another combination. This is not indecision. This is a system that works, refined over years of Fridays, and I see no reason to disturb something that's already won. -- UPDATE: Wild Ace responded directly to address Henry's corn dog anxiety, confirming the mini corn dogs are staying and new kids' meal options are coming soon. Henry has not yet been informed of this development, mostly because I want to see how many more Fridays I can get out of him worrying about it.

Update 5/24/2026 - I'm not sure what's going on with the pizza appearance, taste, preparedness. It initially came with no basil, all the tomatoes were all in the center not scattered around, and the crust was burnt and hard. When I bit into the pizza, it crunched. Flatbreads aren't even cooked that much. We had to call in and get a new pizza. It had more tomatoes and this time it had basil, but the crust was still thin, overcooked and crunchy. Very disappointing. Refer to my video and of past photos. Whatever has changed, should be fixed sooner than later.

It's a large cup so the "no refills" shouldn't be an issue. It has a great flavor and hits just up the mark on the palette of "almost too sweet". It's just right. Chips and salsa brought to the table. Chips were nice and warm. The salsa had flavor but was not chunky at all. More like a puree. I ordered the carne asada and my wife ordered the pollo a la parrilla. Very good. Would come back again. There is a billiard table and a juke box (which can be on the loud side). Also liquor on Sundays

My husband ordered two chicken tacos, rice and beans, and I ordered a single beef taco. We went in the afternoon, late, so were the only people in the restaurant. We were given a basket of chips which tasted homemade, and a bowl of salsa, quite nice. Both the chicken and the beef tacos were properly served on homemade corn tortillas, tacos were flavorful and were served with a side of grilled green onions and peppers. The rice and beans were my favorite, the frijoles made with red beans instead of pinto beans, but full of flavor. They have a small salsa bar next to the coffee pot, my husband picked out a few different kinds of salsa and enjoyed them all. This is a local, totally authentic Latin American restaurant in Greer and we will definitely come back

I read it three times, not because I misunderstood it, but because I wanted to confirm that it listed pets and children in that order, which it did, and that tells you something about the sequence of problems they've encountered on the lawn, though I've decided not to find out what exactly. With that said, the lawn is not exactly a lawn at all, unless you consider granite rocks as a lawn, which the residents of Elberton, Georgia do as it is considered the "Granite Capital of the World." Elberton this is not. This rocky lawn is to be filled with Bichon Frisés and children in ball caps, and on the afternoon I visited it was doing exactly that. There was a dog near the covered bar area moving through the patio with the serenity of an animal who has never once been told that other people exist. His owner stood nearby holding a beer and looking proud, which is a face I recognized, because I have a son and have stood next to him with that exact expression at least twice in public places where I should have known better. I had the Radiant Positivity, a sour ale at 6%, which sounds like something printed above a middle school guidance counselor's desk but turned out to be genuinely good, all grapefruit and a tartness that knew when to stop. I thought about ordering the Kamp Jam, a 4% light lager described as tasting like shared laughter and the unbreakable bonds of friendship, and decided I wasn't there yet. The owners opened this place in 2014 and have expanded it three times since, which tells you something about Greer that it probably already knows about itself but that the rest of the area is still catching up on. Consequentially, Greer itself has also expanded its waistline 3 times since 2014 but that's a discussion for another time. I thought about asking about the Southern Sanctum, an American Tripel, but the afternoon had reached the evening and a point where a Tripel felt like a commitment that deserved more deliberation than I had left in me. I paid my tab, which was reasonable in a way that surprised me given the quality of everything, said goodbye to nobody in particular, and drove home thinking about the Kamp Jam, and whether the unbreakable bonds of friendship were something I'd get to eventually.
