Modern but still captured the old coastal feel. It was super musty and smelled like it. There was a dehumidifier but it was so small, in two nights we actually had to dump the water bucket 4 times. And if we left all day, we came back to a damp room. I'm not sure what causes that - we live in a super humid area and don't have the same issue, but maybe a larger humidifier would help. The breakfasts were fantastic - you can order anything off their restaurant menu. I didn't have anything bad, everything was super fresh and came in huge portions. I do wish they had an espresso machine but the coffee was okay. Check out was also a breeze. This isn't a luxury location, my main complaint was the price for it feels steep, but it's one of the only spots in the area which is probably why they can charge so much. Overall, a great stay and I would definitely come back here if I was in the area again.

However, the Victorian Inn exceeded our expectations and our previous experiences, in every way! From the moment you walk in the door on day one, until you leave the Inn on the last day, Chris and Moe are very generous and gracious hosts. The Inn is charming, comfortable, clean, breakfasts are delicious, home made cookies in your suite, as well as, in the evening, Toby (the Inn's beautiful dog) is very inviting and loves attention, to contacting a local historian for our group to learn local and family history and the list goes on and on. Walk a couple buildings down to The Crazy Crab for a sunset dinner over the water, and then to the ice cream place literally across the little street for ice cream. Breakfast is delicious and served in-room. The ferry to Tangier Island (the reason we needed to stay overnight in Reedville) is a 10 minute drive. So ideal!!!

The inviting long beige pebble driveway felt like a breath of fresh air cleansing all frustrations from the the previous two days away. The plantation has been renovated into a main guesthouse with mutilple cottages. Thomas Cox tastefully preserved the house and one can see the history within the walls. The rooms are immaculate and clean. There are tons of wildlife around the home, the sun sets just over the bay, and there are schools of fish swirling the waters. If you want relaxation, good kayaking, and plenty of good wine, this is the place to be... Just like the label on their wines, if you need to get away and "slack" off, Woodlawn is the place to leave it all behind.

Parking was a breeze, purchasing tickets was easy, and we were able to shop in every single room of the Inn, which also essentially doubled as a tour. The rooms were all lovely and the Inn was the perfect backdrop for shopping. I even tried a sample of their holiday tea (and subsequently bought some). One of the owners was dolling out the samples and it was nice to chat with him. You could tell he and his wife put a lot of love into their Inn. I wouldn't hesitate to return for other events and will keep this spot in mind for future visitors looking for a B&B experience as well.
