I've been here 10 months not what I excepted from MAA. Stayed at one for over a year in Tampa run different. Since here at Cosners Corner I've seen drug deals go down at pedestrian gates people awaiting cars that pull up. Supposed to be gated half time its stuck open so not secure at all.If you value your car be careful. There are currently 17 vechiles in this side with expired tags that says no insurance, that bad so if you get hit your on your own. They sent something out saying would tow them has never happened. Commercial vechiles sitting around some abandoned vechiles taking up space. Look around might spend more at one of the other apts around here but safer. That's just my experience here. read more

The management of the property is lacks. There's always issues with garbage the walkways. The stairwells are filthy when you complain to Management they claim they've been cleaned but the cobwebs the spiderwebs tell the truth. I lived here and never again. Before moving in they showed me an apartment that was already damaged, they told me it was already documented and that I didn't have to worry about it. Once I move out they charged me for damages that I never done. Then they provided a picture of the apartment prior to move with the worst quality ever that you can't even tell the damages were there already, only one picture showed some of the damages and they dare to charge me even tho I had proof that it was not me. I end up paying them and cut communication with them anymore because they will take your sh* to collections no matter what. This place is trash and I would never live here again. We've been living here for over a year, and have been waiting to write a review for fear of retaliation from the leasing office. However, it is my belief that any potential leaser should BE AWARE that this is not somewhere you'd want to rent. From the first day we moved in there has been non-stop issues. We were not afforded the opportunity to see the apartment before moving in, the leasing office stated it wasn't available to see. We put a deposit down to rent a 3 bdrm with double sinks in the master bathroom, we moved in and there was no double sink, only an apology from the leasing office stating it wasn't available in our apartment due to the floor we lived on. It would have been nice to have this conversation prior to moving in. We had noisy neighbors and we were tasked with proving the level of noise. It was a torturous process, but was resolved after about two months. Well we've since learned the walls here are really thin. Additionally expect to have bugs because you will enter your apartments from outside, something I thought was cute, but now find to involve a lack of privacy with the Bojangles that has been built right outside the gate. Now when entering my apartment, people in the Bojangles drive way can look and see us. We requested shrubbery, that was not received. Several appliances in the apartment break often, we've had the toilet repaired over 5 times, the washing machine replaced, the dryer repaired more than once, the stove would burn our food until that was repaired, the sink leaks and had to be repaired several times, the freezer stopped working, all repairs needed within the first 18 months of living here. Sometimes I think I see maintenance in our home more frequently than family visitors. Also noted that certain things that break in your apartment, you are expected to have the leasing office to fix it, yet they WILL bill you for it. It's a dog friendly community, which means there is very little enforcement to pick up poop in the community. The leasing office will say, oh take a picture if you see someone doing something wrong. There is a dog park full of poop, so do not anticipate having your pet run around without a potential mishap of stepping in another dogs poop. Please note this is suppose to be a gated community, yet the gates are always broken. It's challenging to find parking, especially at night. The trash compactor is often broken or overly full. Lastly, the office staff is passive aggressive/ nasty nice. They take on a condescending tone when speaking with you, however upon raising your voice or providing any sound of agitation, they want to hang up and discontinue the conversation. After frustrating interactions with the leasing office, they are willing to negotiate and bend on certain things. Why should a paying tenant experience such high level of frustrations from the leasing office. The rent increases by approximately $100 per renewal, this is negotiable, but you must have a good reason, or you compromise any special renewal incentive they may have offered. Overall living here has not been mentally peaceful, and for the price, I would recommend you rent someone's home or rent from a different apartment. There is a reason they are rated a 2 on google and yelp reviews as of this review today. MAA can change office management as often as they'd like, but the culture of their business practices, communication style or quality of appliances remains something to be less than desired. If it did not cost so much to break the lease, we would seek to leave sooner, however, we will wait the rest of this lease out and then find a new place to call home. I wouldn't be surprised if after this post, the leasing office calls to say someone complained about our dog barking, or music playing, or something in efforts to retaliate. read more

This is the absolute WORST apartment company out there! I paid $2,000 up front to sign a lease, had a family emergency ONE DAY before moving in, NEVER moved into the apartment, and they took me for everything I had during this difficult time. They kept repeating that they had a policy, and there were no exceptions. They kept my $2,000 (deposit and first months rent), asked for a termination fee that exceeded $3,000, and told me I needed to cover 60 days worth of rent moving forward. This is the absolute definition of fraud! I have never felt so taken advantage of in my life. DO NOT rent from this company. Stay away from this summer place. The leasing office has the worst customer service ever. They gave me a number to corporate office, and it was a customer service line that couldn't do anything. The corporate office doesn't return phone calls. They don't appreciate active duty military personnel. They don't follow the lease agreement but overcharge you again and again with no retribution. read more

Truly a terrible company to rent from unless you like being ripped off. The company that runs this complex, MAA, is a terrible company. They will rip you off every chance they get. We lived here 5 years, they raise your rent by hundreds of dollars every time you renew it. They suddenly change rent payment grace period from being due on the 3rd to the 1st on the dot and charge a $200 late fee no exception. When you move they will charge you as much as possible for things that were wrong and recorded when you first moved in. They constantly try to suck more money out of you every chance they get while not providing upgrades or improvements to the facilities. I wouldn't recommend anyone move here. read more

***WARNING STAY AWAY*** Although visually appealing they do not take care of the grounds, so much so they didn't salt during snow and freezing rains. I slipped on what appeared to be a cleared out path and tore my meniscus and MCL with two knee avulsions and their stance "you signed that were not responsible when you moved in" as I am still in physical therapy. Then my work relocated me to another state and instead of working with me they slap me with over $7,000 in fees and miscellaneous clean up charges to teach me a lesson. They did the exact same thing to a co-worker that moved out last month. I've lived in luxury condos and apartment homes for over twelve years and never lived the nightmare I'm living with this place. Stay away! All that glitters is not gold. Let's start by the gates are always broken and are always opened. So don't be sold on the gated community aspect. In fact one of the days the gates were open my car was broken into. And guess what the next day they were closed. People are too lazy to take out their trash so they leave it outside their door and it smells. Even after emails are sent. Management does not care. I put in a work order for my closet. It took them 3 weeks to fix it. I called the office several times only to find out they closed the order without even fixing it because they have a closure ratio they have to maintain. I put in a work order to have the overspray to be removed from the floor and sink in the guest bathroom. They never fixed it. The office never answers the phone unless your a potential resident. I had to call five times before anyone picked up. Move out charges are ridiculous. Who else makes their tenants clean the carpet before they leave. This is so they don't have too. Neighbors don't pick up ther dog crap and let their dogs loose on a leash. They charged me to replace an entire microwave because the lower handle snapped. "It was brand new when I moved in" so I guess living there for two years the handle could never break. The trash compactor is always full. Where shall we begin? The heat wasn't working at first, and no one informed us. Our water smells bad. The gates are always broken. The trash compactor is broken; now there is an industrial-sized dumpster in the parking lot overflowing with garbage. It's supposed to be non-smoking, but people smoke continually in the parking lot. Have a problem? Call the courtesy police. Oh wait, they actually don't have anyone in that position right now. How about a workout to blow off steam? Too bad. The gym equipment is oft-broken. The lone bright spot is the nice maintenance people. Unfortunately, most of the issues are out of their control. We know these are first-world problems, but we are paying first-world money. read more

I lived at station square for 2 years. My first year there was decent. Minimal issues. The front gate never worked. Like NEVER. But other than that not much to complain about. This past year was the absolute worst. Brandi Parker, the property manager, is literally the least customer oriented person I've ever encountered in my life. The amount of disregard she has for the tenants of these apartments is insane to me. Let's start with the incident of me being locked outside my home because the routine maintenance they do on the doors was not completed the same day as stated in the email & my key was not able to fit in my lock & unlock my door. I literally had to call emergency maintenance at 10pm locked out of my apartment & wait for him for 30 mins to get there, & then about 45 more mins afterwards for him to literally have to break into my apartment & replace my lock because the key broke from him trying to get in. Back in March, they were doing routine "maintenance" of the screen in patios. They were supposed to be repainting & replacing the screens. It was only supposed to take a week or so according to the emails. It was June before I was able to get the patio screen replaced; & the only reason it was replaced was because I called the front office complaining about how unacceptable it was. My screen was fixed the same day after the complaint. Another incident occurred where my toilet just stopped working. I put in a request to have it fixed & two days passed & my toilet wasn't fixed. I emailed Brandi & asked her if there was someone she can make sure comes & fixes this ASAP because I haven't been able to use my bathroom. She responded to my email asking how many bathrooms there were in my home & how many attempts I made to plunge the toilet. Not sure what that has to do with why no one has been out to fix my toilet after two days. After calling & complaining & letting her know how disrespectful & insensitive her email was, my toilet was fixed the same day. About a month ago, I woke up to find that my car was towed out of the apartment complex. The reason for it being called in to get towed was because I was apparently parked in reserved parking. The same spot I had been parking in for the almost 2 years that I had been there & had no issues. As I told Brandi & corporate, if I was not supposed to park there, I should've never been able to park there & that should be made clear in your parking policy. The rule shouldn't only be enforced when someone rents it or when they feel like enforcing it. It was also ironic that my car was the one that was towed but there were other cars that were parked in the reserved parking with no tag that I took pictures of. When I showed that to Brandi, her response was "if I want to park in reserved I can pay $40 a month." Great customer service Brandi. & I had to pay $175 to get my car out of the tow place which shouldn't of happened. As you could imagine that conversation didn't end well. Lastly, two days after that incident I come home to find a note on my door telling me that I have a $100 trash fee for trash apparently being outside my door. She had pictures, but I literally never left trash outside my door. Like never. Ever. So at that point I felt like I was being attacked which prompted me to contact corporate. They were no help honestly. The CEO or watever contacted me, and listened but nothing was really done. I moved out officially yesterday & I can only imagine what my move out charges will be since I'm their favorite tenant. Don't move here. The apartments themselves are beautiful & the location is awesome but the customer service is trash & it makes it not worth it. Especially with the amount of $$ you pay a month. read more

We love living here! The complex is beautiful and the apartments fixtures are modern and tasteful. This place is wonderful! The rent is pricey but it has great security, amenities and the property is always meticulously maintained. They are pet friendly and have a dog park as well as a nice gym, pool and clubhouse. I wanted to say that the recent snow storm was handled very poorly at Station Square. We did have a large amount of snow fall, however, the plan for clearing off the sidewalks was not properly developed. One lone maintenance person to try and clear a large complex was completely overwhelming, though he tried his best. The inside court was not touched which resulted in people fighting through a foot of snow to get to their cars or to allow their pets to conduct their business. Solid ice in the breezeways leading to the courtyard was pretty scary. No thought was even given to pets as to where their owners could take them for relief, though the $30.00 pet fee each month is collected. The Weather channel predicted 8-12 inches of snow which should have activated a long-range plan if one had been in place. Elderly persons with pets had their safety and health jeopardized when they had to walk on solid sheets of ice or try walking through the deep snow. Concern for the residents and all pets in the community would have been appreciated. read more

I lived here for a year what sold me on the place was the fact that it was gated, the balconies are fenced in, visually appealing, supposed to be smoke free, and appeared to be a clean quite neighborhood. Over time the community changed, garbage would be left outside of the trash compactor, community littered with cigarette buds, sitting on balcony would often smell marijuana, and cigarettes.The walls are extremely thin when I say you can hear everything you can hear EVERYTHING, the walls floors are paper thin.I know it's apartment living at there is a reasonable expectation of noise transfer but this is not that people are just plain loud and rude.I have no complaints about the management or the maintenance both where always polite and attentive. Though I don't feel like much was truly done when I had complaints about my the individual living above me. I made the decision a few months into my lease that I had no intent on renewing my lease if I were to stay in the area. The sad part is the apartment is really nice it just sucks that the walls are paper thin, neighbors have no respect for fellow neighbors and the community itself just changed. Word of advice look at the apartment when neighbors are home so you can get a good feel of what it's like come around when it gets dark and management is gone to see what it's really like I lived in building 9618 and to be honest I unfortunately would not recommend. read more

****RENTERS BEWARE.******* Our apartment was cheaply built. Dishwasher would fall out of its cubby because it was not properly secured. Towel rack came out the wall the first time I hung a towel. The interior doorknobs to the beds, baths, and closets had a tendency to fall off every few weeks. Most of the top electrical outlets were NOT functional. There were many eye sores due to the poor standard of quality when being built. THESE WERE BRAND NEW APARTMENTS. Staff are stuck up and rude. They harassed me when they lost my financial information about 5 or so months into my lease. The place is full of crooks! Upon move out, I shampooed the carpets myself and left the place SPOTLESS because no company could work with my work schedule and they continued to rob me of $95 after explaining the situation on top of the multiple $20 on each bill for "no proof of insurance" which was presented IN OFFICE AND EMAILED. Theres tons of bogus charges and will find ANYTHING to charged you for and their answer was typically a form of "not my problem" when presented with your side of the argument. When our apartment was 53 degrees in the middle of winter because the A/C would turn on while the thermo was on "HEAT". I COULD SEE MY BREATH. I HAVE IT ON VIDEO. They "fixed" our HVAC system and all seemed well. Until I realized that the "AUTO" option was selected and realized the fan and heat stayed on 24/7 resulting in a $331 ELECTRICITY BILL. They don't fix a single thing and will not come when they say they will. During the winter snow storms they do a HORRIBLE job at plowing and thats IF they had someone plow. Nobody answers the front desk phones during the hours whenever I had a concern either! I suggest that if you are looking to rent, SEARCH ELSEWHERE! CROOKS. RUDE. CHEAP. UNRELIABLE. read more
