My partner and I lived at Belmont for about 2 years and were impressed by the staff in the community. When we first moved to the community, there were some significant issues with the quality of the grounds, issues with neighbors, safety, etc. The new management team that took over shortly after we moved in turned the community around. We enjoyed the amenities in community, the events that the office hosted, and the friendliness of our neighbors. You should understand first of all that your rent will go up $100 every year when you renew. Trash and other amenities is billed separately and costs extra, but required of course. We had planned to stay for five years saving up to buy a house, but left after three. Management is flippant unresponsive, and arrogant. The list of things they will never fix is extensive. I was without a dishwasher for 11 months in total from two failed units, the water damage from a broken downspout on my back porch cost me hundreds of $$$ and ruined my mountain bike. Overspray from the tub re-enamel ruined my shoes, clothing, and bedroom furniture. Our A/C was out for three months in the middle of summer! Plumbing, caulking, electrical outlets, paint, broken faucets... like I said , the list is extensive! If your upstairs neighbor throws trash, cat hair in huge, clumps, old pumpkins and cigarette butts in your yard that's just too bad! We had water damage from an upstairs leak - soaked the carpets, ruined books... but no recourse. We were told renters insurance was mandatory and it was our problem, despite our $1000 deductible. The pool looks like a sewer most of the year, and since that was our scenic view we just kept the curtains drawn. Dog-poop pickup rules are never enforced, and if your vehicle tags expire while you're in the hospital they arrange to have your car towed. I found out the staff at the front office has changed & the new team is more responsive, kinder & seem to be making some positive changes here in the community! I just concluded my stay at residence at Belmont. I truthful love this place. I had a very nice renovated one bedroom apartment. The maintenance crew was fast and efficient, The Office staff were always pleasant and they were truly my favorite part about my stay. They went out of their way to ensure all my needs were met promptly. I had a WONDERFUL experience at Belmont. I would recommend anyone looking for affordable high quality apartments to come to Belmont!! I just want to thank all the staff for making my stay fantastic! They are always improving amenities to enhance the quality of life for the residence and our furry companions. They have no breed restrictions this makes the BEST place when you have sweet loving breeds that most don't consider sweet and loving! I hate to write a negative review but I'd hate for someone to make the same mistake that we did. To start I had high hopes the apartment the front office is very nice in person. However after moving in that's when the problems began. The outside of the unit had a couple of problems the light outside was not working and after informing the front office it was never repaired and has remained unfixed. We moved in at the end of August in 2022. At the same time I was given a key that barely worked after being told multiple times by the repair team that it did in-fact work. I also hope you are a cat person because they're are plenty of feral cats. Unfortunately for us they have chosen our building to use as their litter box. Now moving to the interior of the apartment the carpet on move in had lots of stains and had loose spots. Thankfully the repair team did repair it, it did not look the prettiest but they did fix it so I will give credit where it is due. Now the cabinets, the cabinets have loose handles and are loose themselves so be sure to bring your tools when moving in. Another repair that we have been needed for a couple of weeks now is our microwave handle that has fallen off. We reported it and after that had came out to fix it and another repair we had listed it was still not fixed. One last subpar repair I feel the need to mention is one I did not notice at first is the storage rack In the closet one of the shelves had fallen and instead of fixing it they left it fallen and slapped some paint over it. Another issue is we have quite a few bugs and spiders that make their ways in. Not sure what they can do about it especially because we have a ground level unit. To sum things up the front office is very friendly and helpful the repair team could do better hate to leave such a negative review on them because I don't know the full story but we have not seen the of their work. All I can say to anyone looking into the possibility of renting here.....please don't. I've been here over 4 years and it's not worth it on any level. I'm finally getting out next month. It has been the absolute worst renting experience of my entire adult life. Ac unit not fixed for almost two years, yes two years. They kept sending different ppl, then just never completed the job. Doors to laundry area didn't fit the track, came off THREE years ago, still not replaced. Maintenance picked them up, didn't replace them. Trash outside is often literally spilling over into the street causing all kinds of sanitary issues. My advice, keep looking and do not get stuck in this place. Sorry I couldn't find anything redeeming to add, but there really isn't anything. read more

The community has been under the care of a new property manager for the last year.Since that time, customer service has been less than acceptable. In the past couple weeks the previous property manager has returned and I can already see a difference! Jackie Washington is the best property manager I've ever had. She is genuinely invested in the community and cares about every resident. I have spoken to many other residents and everyone is so excited she has returned. We all hope she never leaves us again!! read more

I have been living in the complex since 2013 and the last couple of years have been hell with the resident manager, to the point I wanted to move. Well things are getting a little better to my surprise the old resident manager, Jackie has come back. It was great to see her and even better the old manager had left, but if this property was to continue to get better and get back to what it use to be when I first moved in they better hold on to this manager and bring back some of the old staff. read more

I have lived at Belmont for 6 yrs and I am very concerned about the residence going down hill. The grounds are not maintained, no bushes just dirt in front of my building. Rent has gone up 30% this year. Many people are moving out. read more

I've been here awhile and if you're thinking of moving here I wouldn't,I have had a water leak for over a week before getting someone to look at it.My dog hurt it's paw at the rocky dog park,cobwebs under the stairwells,dog waste in bags piling up on ground because dog waste containers are full,and rats living around the dumpsters. read more

This is the worse place I have ever lived. The staff is rude and unprofessional. They will let your apartment have water leaks until they get enough quotes, then decide to fix it. Had a fire ant infestation due to the patches not being fixed, and they waited a whole week until the exterminator came out, instead of calling him out immediately. Had to stay in a hotel for a few days because the ants kept swarming me as I slept. Kitchen flooded with a broken food disposal and dish washer. Afterwards, the kitchen smelled like mildew and the floor was soft, yet they didn't seem to notice when I complained. They told me a differently of how much money I had left on lease, then try to deny it even after showing them the emails, also waiting until the last moment. Again, very rude and ignorant. Moving here will be a huge mistake. read more

I haven't lived here but my experience trying to go through the renting process was awful. The staff was nice at first but didn't give me a full tour and refused to show me other apts, and just wanted me to apply. I had no idea of anything the place offered, like a pool, parks, etc. I applied and paid the 95 dollar fee they requested and waited for an email of approval (or not). They said the computers were down and I wouldn't know until a day or two. I told them I needed a new place ASAP so a day or two wasn't bad to wait. I gave them a work email which I check about 10x a day and never received anything. After waiting a week, I just applied elsewhere and got accepted to another apt complex that day. I then went to Belmont to check out of curiosity and they were extremely rude and lied saying they emailed me days ago. I know they didn't because I have received many back and Forth emails when I was just interested in the property. That night I then received an email from them concerning the application process. I wouldn't waste time and money on this place. Rent was too much for what was offered and if I did live here, I would not want to deal with the staff there. Glad I went elsewhere. Wouldn't recommend this headache to anyone. read more

I hate this place. I moved in last May to finish my last year of college and they ENTIRE SUMMER THE AC UNIT WAS BROKEN. I lived in rancid awful heat for months and the maintenance would turn my power off INCLUDING MY FRIDGE. So theyve ruined ALL OF my food and MEDICATION because they left my power off when I went home for a weekend and then LIED ABOUT IT TO THE MANAGER. She believed them... wow crazy right? Did i mention my apartment is infested with spiders and ants and everything breaks. Because I had no AC I GOT REALLY SICK AND My hair fell out. No kidding. They refused to fix my ac until i got my parents involved they ignored me and caused a serious infectionn on my head. These people are CRIMINAL SOCIOPATHS DONT LIVE HERE. Can I give this zero stars? This place is ridiculous! Mouse droppings are all over the apartments and when we go to the leasing office or call the emergency line, they keep putting it off or say to get "brillo pads." They tell us they are going to put traps out. They probably won't even check them at all and the mice will start to smell. Exterminators come this day, then they come this day, no this day...This needs to be taken care of immediately. Also, has anyone seen the trash? This place is near a hospital and it's almost to the street! This is disgusting!!!!!!! read more

At first we really enjoyed living in our newly renovated apartment - but in the cooler weather the smells from the downstairs apartment have come creeping through the floor from the neighbors below and it is disgusting! Our bedroom and it's adjacent bathroom smell like dirty diapers and cooking smells mixed. And the living room often smells strongly of cigarettes! I bought a 200 dollar air filter with an auto setting that often turns up to full blast when the chain-smoking begins. We are paying over 1200 to live in Stinksville! (And am ready to call CPS with the amount of yelling and screaming we hear every single day (same neighbors). It's a real shame as we otherwise would like it, and we're not happy about looking for a new place! read more

I lived here for two years. The quality of the apartments is decent, but they're overpriced. The renovated units are very nice, but you're going to pay the price for them. The staff is nice, however, they lost my rent check once which was concerning. Luckily they handled the situation professionally and it ended fine. My major complaint is pest control. You pay monthly for it, yet the ant problem is horrible. Being an extremely clean person, I was disgusted by the amount of ants in my apartment. I asked them to spray extra, they claimed they did, but it never helped. I was unable to open my windows or doors because it made the problem significantly worse. The other issue was broken items upon move in. In both my units, the screen door was broken and needed to be replaced. They claimed they fixed it at my first unit, but it still didn't sit in the track correctly and had major gaps. Another reason I couldn't leave my door open and just have the screen shut- it wouldn't shut. Also, the quality of the water heater and air unit is terrible. My first month living in my second unit, my heat bill was $180 with the heat at 62. I found out my heating and air unit had not been cleaned in who knows how long and they was the issue. They claim it is cleaned between tenants, but had you seen it you would have known it wasn't true. After it got cleaned, my bill went down to $40... There are minor things here and there that are problematic, but no place is perfect. I do wish they had better security for the pool. Anybody from the community can come in and use it and it's clear that a lot of the unattended children who are there, and even some families, do not live at the complex. Being that it is a liability, I'm shocked they don't fix that issue but using a code lock to get in the gate like they do for the gym. read more

I have been here for three years and its time to go! The maintenance crew are great and are on point when it comes to your needs, but the new resident manager is a damn joke! They have no rukes when it comes to the size of your pet so you can have an elephant in the joint if it will fit. The majority of the residents don't curb their large dogs so you better watch were y ou step. I have complained to the current residence manager about a dog alarge dog in our building during the day that is the size of a saint benard howling her response was he is lonely! Parking is a joke you rent the car ports and there is,a guy that has not paid for his in three years!...but he has never been towed which means the signs are a joke.
