Barbecue half a lamb on the platter

I've never been a big fan of lamb, but it was really good. There were six of us and we ordered a half a lamb. You have to order it two days in advance. It tasted real good. It came out all the skewers laying on top of the rest of the lamb where they came back and cut up the ribs and everything once we cleaned out the skewers full of meat. It was very good food. I would recommend at least giving it a try.

We tried Maad Lamb Cuisine for lunch on a Sunday. There was a lot of free parking in the lot outside. The restaurant was pretty empty when we arrived and we were seated right away. We ordered the lamb ribs, diced lamb on toothpicks, and the lamb pilaf. Everything was well-cooked and tasty. I loved the diced lamb on toothpicks and the lamb pilaf, but probably wouldn't order the lamb ribs again. They were good, but the other 2 dishes were better. The diced lamb on toothpicks was very well spiced. The lamb pilaf was a nice accompaniment and the small size was enough for 2 of us and we had leftovers. The lamb ribs were very well cooked and tender, but definitely needed the sauce and powder for flavor. The ribs themselves were not very flavorful. The one odd thing about the restaurant was that there were quite a few empty tables that hadn't been cleared of dishes which was a bit off-putting with old food and dirty dishes just sitting there. Overall I had a good experience and the food was great especially for the price point. Next time I'd like to try the lamb skewers.

Went on Chinese new year, and they were not busy at all. Promptly seated and provided menus. We ordered the lamb pilaf, toothpick lamb, beef with fat, and lamb skewer with naan. The pilaf with the toothpick lamb was delicious. The lamb fat came through and paired well with the toothpick spicy lamb. The lamb skewers were dry, and the naan was thick, dry and cardboard texture. Don't recommend ordering that. The beef with fat was really good too. Took off stars because multiple plates provided at the table were unclean, they did not come to take away empty plates or refill water. Also, there was lack of interest to explain anything in the menu. No bucket to put in used/dirty skewers in. Maybe we will go to grab to-go orders instead of sit in dinner.

We ordered the half lamb that came with hot pot and bread etc. It was TONS of food. Not exactly my style to order such a large platter but the food was good and the flavors were good. I think the lamb was a little dry but everyone seemed to enjoy it enough. I personalLu wouldn't go back but I can see how this would appeal to people who love to eat a ton.

My husband and I took our in-laws here. They're known for their lamb and their lamb is from New Zealand so it is halal for anyone curious. We ordered four big dishes and two appetizers. The appetizers were veggies . Had three dishes that were kebab centric, and one lamb soup. We asked for the spicy powder on on the side. If you like fatty lamb, get the bs6/4 or anything that says 5 or more skewers. The ones that says 3 are typically more lean and less fatty. If you like thag instead, get bs4. The soup was meh. But would be a good soup if you're feeling unwell. I would skip it and reorder everything else. The service was quick and our waitress was super nice. She also gave us forks just in case we need it. And cups since we weren't used to using the bowl method, the traditional method for this cuisine. The place was clean and neat. There are some small arcade games at the front while you wait. We came around 6 on a Sunday night and we got a table right away. As we were done with a few of our dishes, they came by and cleared it quickly while bringing us our next dish. Parking is free and out front.

Run don't walk to this amazing new restaurant! They specialize in Xinjiang style lamb cuisine and everything was delicious. Food: 5/5 we originally wanted to try the four person half lamb special but apparently you have to order that 2 days in advance (next time!). We ended up ordering the beer downer appetizer, lamb skewers with naan, lamb hot pot, steamed lamb, and lamb rice. Everything was fresh and delicious! Service: 5/5 they were attentive and listened to our requests carefully, very accommodating towards our party of 7 Ambiance: 5/5 they have little arcade machines at the front which is perfect for kids. This is a newer restaurant so everything was clean and new. I love lamb, this place will definitely be a go-to in the future!

Loved it! Hope you like meat and lamb! Not a lot of vegetables here but I did order the pickled vegetables and they were great but the star is the lamb. I had the lamb in chili oil and the meat falls off the bone. It was plenty of food for 1 but it's an appetizer for 2. The chili oil was a nice touch. We also had the beef kabobs and they fire them at your table so it's like a little table side fire show. The meat was super flavorful. Decor was nice and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Highly recommend. I'll be back to try more dishes.

    Lamb rib So so good!

SCRUMPTIOUS SPOT! Honestly the best lamb I've ever eaten. My mother grew up eating Uyghur cuisine and their lamb is definitely authentic. 5/5 Lamb ribs The ribs were cooked perfectly tender; the texture was beautiful. The lamb itself was lightly seasoned so the two sauces that came with it brought out the lamb flavor and added a more complex flavor of spaced. This was such a unique dish that really highlights the natural flavor of lamb. Definitely get this! 5/5 Lamb pilaf So so good! It came with decent portions of lamb and the rice itself was so complex in terms of flavoring but was also able to highlight the natural sweetness of the carrots. It goes really well with any dish and it'll keep you full. 4/5 cucumber salad The cucumbers were so crisp and fresh, but personally I found the sauce to be on the sweeter side with mostly a soy sauce base. Honestly it pairs perfectly with the other dishes by delivering a crunchy texture variance. I munched on it after eating lots of meat. Really really unique joint, and I'm super happy that I decided to try it out. They have lamb soup too. Side note: they give little bowls for the water and I felt like a traveler in the Silk Road lol. The interior is clean and decently decorated. Service was prompt and the waitress checked in on us throughout our meal. I know it sounds very meat heavy but they execute it so that you feel refreshingly satiated when walking out.

The best lamb I've ever had, no cap! My boyfriend and I came on a Thursday night at 10pm and starving. We ordered so many dishes and thought we were gonna need to go boxes, but it was so good we finished everything. Servers were very attentive, and were nice even though it was so late.

Great lamb with legit traditional Chinese cooking styles. People never tried Yang Xie Zi should start with this.

Excellent service! The waitress served us and walked through the entire menu with us. They recommended the wasabi sesame lamb intestines as it is very unique. The hot pot was amazing. The lamb was tender and the naan was great. It is Xinjiang naan so so not expect it to be like Indian naan. It was able a ten minute wait. There were games to play while we waited so it made the time fly by. Decorations were cute, but it felt like a generic Chinese restaurant. It would be cool for them to specify that this is regional cusine, but I guess if you know, you know.

Their menu consists of apps (mostly fried), soups and salads, lobster dishes, steaks, vietnamese seafood dishes, shellfish entrees (clams, scallops, etc), an oyster section, stir fry dishes, rice creations, and fried seafood dishes. They serve beer and wine but have some Asian wine-based cocktails. This is truly a fusion restaurant since they have Vietnamese, American, Chinese, Thai, and Peruvian influences on their menu. They have boiled seafood, of course, including crawfish during the season. On every table is also a $12.95 lunch menu with soups, sandwiches and seafood dishes. This may be one of the better deals out there. We tried a few dishes: drunken lobster, surf and turf, crab fried rice, drunken tofu, and shrimp with salted egg. Two additional people in our group came a little later and actually ordered the lunch special (pork chop plate) and chicken wings. Their napkins are a little strange as they're tri-fold style like you would normally see in a restroom. The dishes were pretty good, but I ended up eating mostly noodles since their garlic noodles are pretty addicting. The sirloin that came on the steak dish was supposedly a little tough but that is typical of a basic sirloin steak. I didn't actually get to sample it since other people grabbed it before I could. They only had L and XL size lobster the day we came...so they said their prices were around $90 and $108...I think we selected the $90 size. The drunken lobster dish can be shared between 2 people as it's a big platter but just 1 cut up lobster. The garlic noodles beneath the lobster pieces on the drunken lobster are way better than the noodles beneath the shrimp and steak on the surf and turf since they are stir-fried with lots of onions, jalapeños and what seemed to be small ground pork/beef chunks.

I asked for them to make it spicy, it was spicy and I feel like I'm still on the search for a better garlic noodles. The drunken wings were really good. The truffle fries were good. They also had happy hour when I went happy hour is every day from 5 to 7...even on the weekend. I went on a Saturday Also during happy hour oysters are a dollar I did not get any. The duck look really good. The duck is prepared to order. It takes about 45 minutes. A few orders of that went out. Will probably go back. Customer service was cool. Dennis is the best. Michael, the owner, greeted us and took care of us! We started with the Jumbo Crab Fingers which were really good - I'm honestly not huge on seafood, so I enjoyed these a lot more than I thought I would. Ironically, I'm not big on oysters either, so I ordered the Jumbo Golden Fried Shrimp which hit the spot real good. Large shrimp, well fried, flavored, and the tartar sauce was addicting. The fries that came with it were perfectly seasoned, carrying a bit more of a cajun flavor rather than just regularly salted. My parents definitely enjoy oysters, so they ordered the Charbroiled Oysters and really enjoyed it, as well as the Uni Oyster with Quail Egg. They also got the Cowboy Lobster Shrimp Roll that was gone before I even took a second look their way. We finished the meal with a yummy, dense basque cheesecake! Every customer that came in during our time there was personally greeted by Michael, and it seemed like they were all repeat customers. It was really cool to see that kind of connection, and it really showed how much Michael cares about his customers, and how much we like his food! Indoor seating is a bit limited - all bar stool seating. I rarely comment on the music that a restaurant plays, but I quite liked it! Made me feel like I was on the bay enjoying some fresh seafood at sunset. Heard they'll be opening up their newest location at POST soon!

Everything was detailed and you can feel how passionate they are about the food. We started off with the Gumbo and Lobster Bisque. The gumbo has a nice roux and full of flavor with shrimp, rice, and other tasty bits. The lobster bisque was one of my favorites of the evening with a rich and creamy texture. 5/5 Following the soup, we had some of the freshest Prince Edward Island oysters in Houston. We didn't try the Gulf oysters in this visit but our neighbor said they were delicious and looked huge. Next we had a ribeye steak with pasta and broccoli as the side. The steak was cooked perfectly and didn't need any sauce but the in house sauce that came with the steak had so much umami flavor, made by Michael as well. Can't wait to come back and try some of the other items on our next visit! Thanks for the wonderful hospitality and experience from end to end.

When I arrived there was nobody dining in the restaurant, that was a bit worrying, but I figured it was a bit early for the dinner crowd and late for the lunch crowd. Food & Drink - 4.5* First up was the noodles, I enjoyed them, but I wouldn't say the hype I'd heard about from some others was there. They had nice flavor, but there just wasn't anything "special." 3.5* Then it was on to the crawfish, and my oh my. Superb, the flavor is delicious and unique. This more than made up for the noodles dish. The potato and corn was good too. Service - 5* Solid. When I first arrived the owner was quietly reading a newspaper and eating his own lunch. He paused to greet me and advised that I could sit anywhere. He provided water and adequate time to determine what I wanted to order. The food came out quickly and he checked in a few times to make sure everything was ok. As time went by, the crowd of folks showing up increased quite a bit and he still managed to check in on tables consistently. Pricing - 4* This is where it was odd. Always subjective but I found the noodles to be overpriced for not only the size but what I felt was a pretty simple dish. The crawfish on the other hand was priced very competitively and made up for the overpriced noodles. I provided pics of the menu for someone to make their own assessment but in general I thought many of the dishes were pricier than they probably should be. I know inflation is certainly killing many businesses and consumers but even these felt a bit off. Overall - 4.5* This is definitely going to be one of my go tos for crawfish when in the area. The flavor is fantastic, the pricing is good, the size of them were solid. There are a couple of other dishes I may try on the next visit. The restaurant is clean, the owner is very nice, and it's a nice low key space to just enjoy a good meal with friends or family.
