The tow distance was 4-5 miles and the accident was near police station in downtown. Two days later my AAA Agent showed me a $2400 bill for towing my car and storage for one day. Literally don't bother coming here or trusting any of these reviews. Came in to ask for a price on my broken mirror, but they quoted me like $800, there ain't no way that they are making the same amount as healthcare workers at the hourly labor rate of $90/hr. Insane and absurd because it's literally a tiny part of my car costing almost the price of my used car. LOL. Also no parking anywhere and the estimator took an extra 30 minutes for lunch when the girl on the phone told me lunch was 12-1 so I came at 1 but they didn't arrive until 1:30 so had to waste my time waiting for an unreasonable quote. I brought my car in for several issues. I so appreciated their great customer service, prices, efficiency and just genuine caring. I needed an outer cover for my right side mirror and my inside lights wouldn't come when I opened the door. I also needed some new tires. Jesus referred me to Mid City Auto repair that was very close by. I went right over and they replaced the two front tires and gave me an exceptional rate - better than American Tire. Plus they put them on right away. The part for my side mirror came in the next day. I arrived and it was installed within 15 min. Jesus also fixed my inside light issue. Toyota dealership was going to charge me $250 to diagnosed the issue, Jesus examined it, was able to fix it, instructed me how to use it including controlling brightening and dimming - no charge. I love this place! I highly recommend them and I will go back for any issues w my car. It's so refreshing to find and honest and reasonably priced auto repair place! Unfortunately I've been waiting for the right moment to right a review and now is the right time. The manager is a nice guy but besides that the issues I had to come back to get my car issues fixed after my accident around 10 times was a hassle. This place is super busy as it's in the middle of LA. You have to park outside on the side street sometimes to go in. On top of that I was supposed to get a reimbursement and they said to only come in to get the reimbursement. I asked for a mail check and no response. A YEAR later, I tell them I'm coming in to get my reimbursement payment. Sure enough, he writes a CHECK like I previously asked. I've never had to drive to get a check from any company or incident. HECTOR!! This man is an actual ANGEL. I was out on a run and noticed some girls car had broken down in the intersection ..everyone was honking and losing their marbles that they had to use the other lane so I tried getting ahold of someone from my AAA to try & help her out but was on hold for what felt like ages.. Hector happened to be passing by and offered to pull her car to the side while she was waiting.. her mechanic wanted to charge a couple bands for a tow and mentioned plugging it in to a charger may resolve the issue.. I was like there is literally a charger right around the block on my street.. Hector came through once again and was like don't worry I'll pull your car up. We get to the charger and it's fucking OUT OF ORDER LOL typical LA bullshit. Hector then once again came though and took her to a different station. And before y'all wanna come for me and say ya ya just wait till she gets the bill.. I tried to get his info to venmo/apple pay him for helping out and he wouldn't take a dime. A lot of places out here will finesse the fuck out of you but there are still a few decent ppl left. They deserve all the stars --hope this helps. read more

I took my car in after a giant play school slide rammed into my radiator on the 405 . I was hesitant at first since I had never been there. Let me tell you the service was great! They kept me updated throughout the process. I picked up my car 2.5 weeks later and unfortunately a week after my car wouldn't start. In a panic I called and spoke to Ms. Kathy, she immediately asked for my location and they sent out a tow! They came and picked up my car! That was amazing! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!! This place is run by a bunch of liars/crooks and they run a towing scam here around Central LA. I was involved in a car accident 5/29/24 and a tow truck showed up out of nowhere claiming that he was sent from the city... I of course didn't think much of it because how else would they have known about my accident that had just happened minutes prior?? I also didn't know of any auto body shops around here and agreed for this tow truck to take me to MAC after he insisted that they are "Lexus certified". Jaime (the owner) then kept pushing back to rack up the amount of days that my car was "stored" there claiming that they are still waiting for a USAA adjuster to come out and evaluate my car. Mind you, this was never supposed to be the case because USAA agreed to my lawyer that they would just reimburse my auto insurance (Mercury) for all damages and a Mercury adjuster saw my car the day after my accident. I then came to find out that these towing scams are a common thing here in LA and tow trucks drive around with police radios ready to target those in an accident.... Fast forward to yesterday (2 WEEKS LATER), and I discovered that this shop is not even certified with USAA nor Mercury which is important because it's the only way for me to have any kind of reassurance that my car will be fixed correctly. And if any issues arise later, they will fix it again for free (like having a warranty). Yet they kept telling me, my lawyer, and my dad that they are. I then of course wanted to move my car to a certified shop and Jaime quoted my dad a storage fee of $250/day initially. Jaime then denied such quote and said that they usually charge $200/day (which is still absurdly high) to me and my lawyer. He then tacked on a bullshit cleaning fee of $150 for my cars "radiator fluid leaking" onto the concrete outside of their shop + a "towing fee" of $450 which doesn't even make sense if the tow truck was truly sent from the city. So clearly they're working together on this scam. After further negotiation/calling him out/& threatening to call the police, we got Jaime to come down to $150/day in storage fees and to waive the towing fee. He then of course said he only takes cash or cashiers check... so i had to arrange for a new shop to send a tow truck to meet me at MAC with $2250 CASH (only took $2200). Luckily, i will get reimbursed by my insurance, but this has all pushed back the repairs on my car and has really just been a huge inconvenience and stressful beyond words. Moral of the story, trust no one and this place is trash. read more

I couldn't have asked for a better experience. On Monday I arrived at their shop around 5 PM with a cracked tail light and busted bumper. They completed the estimate and provided me with a quote within minutes. I called the next day and scheduled the repair and they ordered the light. I brought the vehicle in on Wednesday. They completed the repair and I was on my way home within an hour all for a VERY reasonable price. I would highly recommend MAC Auto Collision to everyone. They were incredibly professional, kind, and also let me do work in their lobby while I waited for my car. 10/10. read more
