They REALLY need to improve their process. Today I went in to pick up my items and one of the items wasn't even what I bid on. I was curious why the picture of the item disappeared after I won the auction and now I know. Very disappointed. Another time I bid on some outdoor hooks and when I picked up the item it was something wicker. Now I should have read the box because it clearly stated what it was and the app clearly stated what I had purchased - so this one is on me too, but come on! They also sell things that are broken or not all there. They do tell you to come in and inspect all items first, but you shouldn't have to. read more

On Day 2, my wife went to pick up my items for me and was turned away because she was not listed as an authorized pickup person. While I understand that policy, the problem was that customer service is nearly impossible to reach. Phone calls go unanswered, and emails are not responded to in a timely manner. On Day 3, after finally making contact, I was granted a one-week extension to pick up my items. Based on that assurance, I made the trip to both the Henderson and North Las Vegas locations the very next day. Neither location had my items available, despite the extension that had been approved. I later learned that my items had been relisted and resold. Not only did Mac.Bid keep my payment, but they also kept the proceeds from reselling the same items. To make matters worse, my account was suspended during this process. This issue has now dragged on for weeks. Customer service still has not provided a meaningful response, and when I speak with managers at the pickup locations, they simply tell me to contact customer service. They acknowledge that customer service is difficult to reach and often does not respond, yet no one is willing or able to resolve the issue. I followed the instructions given to me, obtained an approved extension, and made multiple attempts to retrieve my items. My husband and I recently purchased an air conditioner from Mac.Bid that was listed as an open-box item. We understood that it was open box and were okay with that. However, when we opened it, we found that it was covered in dog hair inside, which was extremely unsanitary and disappointing. On top of that, the unit does not work at all. We even took the time to thoroughly clean it and tried everything we could, but it still won't turn on or function. We paid for an item that is completely unusable, and this has been a very frustrating experience. We have photos showing the condition of the air conditioner and would be happy to provide them if needed. Is there any way we can receive a refund or exchange it for a working unit? I was genuinely saddened to see Mac Bid's employees working without air conditioning -- or any basic climate comfort -- during the peak of a Las Vegas summer. I should have checked the reviews. Really bad on my part. So I bid on and won multiple items. Every single item was either broken or didn't work. I should have known when one of the fans was trash at first sight and I had to ask for it to be thrown out! It never should have been listed! I got a canister vacuum that didn't have a canister. Can't even locate a replacement on line. I plugged it in and it didn't power up. Trash! Two tower fans wouldn't turn on. The one that did didn't work! A couple more items not worth mentioning because they are trash too. These people are ignorant for selling trash to people. They don't stand by the items they sell. You can't get your money back unless you bought their insurance which is also a scam. There is absolutely zero value for the money you spend! So, I stumbled across this place when a local radio personality was talking about it a while ago (thanks Heather) and lemme tell you somethin...this app is addicting with bidding items (damaged/open box and like new) I have learned from previous to only look at the "like new" choices since most of what I have won have been factory sealed boxes and only once did I get an item that was broken (my fault) and was able to return it (just make sure you keep the Yellow sticker on the bag or box...I am very happy with everything I've won so far....warning!! This is a place you're gonna do some walking (if you have multiple items to pick up like I did my 1st time picking my stuff up)...I really wish that I had instructions prior to coming. Suggestion to have some comfy shoes to gather your items. This location is off racetrack road in Henderson (the old Kmart building) they also have binz you can go through and see what you want (not an auction first come 1st serve) happy hunting and have fun!! A suggestion would be to have the isles farther apart like the North Las Vegas location...at this location (from pictures shown) are not very wide aisles and with 2 pull carts in the row, I kept hitting boxes trying to get out. If it's a lighter item, just leave your cart at the end of the aisle and just go search for the item (A LOT EASIER) my items won were very heavy so, I needed the cart down the aisle (no big deal since everyone is pretty friendly and they're doing the same thing looking for their items)....there is a place set up on the way out to inspect your merchandise to make sure nothing is broke and the correct item that you bid on and won. The young girl that checks you in seems like she couldn't care less about working there imo...the guys checking your order at the end are the sweetest and most helpful. WARNING******MAKE SURE YOU CHECK TO SEE IF YOUR ELECTRONICS WORK!! (You can do this before checking out) I bid and won a nugget icebreaker and it was sealed in the box and guess what? It doesn't work!! $50s wasted SMH!! I take extreme issue with their cart system. I don't know who thought having everyone fight to the death over carts in the parking lot was a good idea, and I don't appreciate struggling in here with no cart until a very kind gentleman gives me his cart (happened 3 separate times now) Here's my proposed solutions: 1. BUY MORE CARTS! Seems obvious 2. Make a cart line. People get in line for the carts and then when a cart is returned first in line gets it. Also seems obvious. Rewarding the most aggressive people with carts and punishing introverted people by forcing us not to use carts or talk to strangers if we want a cart isn't nice! Otherwise it's a fun thing. Fix the carts and I'll change to 5 stars! read more

I have been using MacBid for 4 years and never had an issue with missing items, refunds or reaching out to customer service until now and I will never use them again because of how they handle refunds. I won a bookshelf on Mac.Bid. I went to the warehouse to pickup the item within my timeframe and it was lost. The warehouse manager said they would look for 2days and then issue a refund if it was not found. After 2 days the item was removed from my account but no refund was issued or even pending so I reached out via email to customer service to inquire about my refund. No response, so 2 days later I called and it was an automated system, no way to talk to a human. The robot said it created a ticket and someone would be in contact in 24hrs...2 days later I disputed the charge with the bank because no one was responding to me after 5 days. I just got an email from MacBid that I have been banned Indefinitely with no reasoning but I know its because they didn't refund my money until I contacted my bank to fight for me. I wrote back to customer service explaining the issue was theirs and I had to contact the bank to get my money back because no one at MacBid was responding. They emailed me back in less than an hour that the indefinite termination of my account is still upheld!! They couldn't respond for over a week to my refund request in email and phone calls but once I write them saying I should not have been terminated for their mistake they respond super quick. This is THE MOST shadiest business I have ever dealt with and people need to know what they are doing to loyal customers if you have 1 single problem that is their fault, you will get banned. read more

Fun! Fun! Fun! MAC bids you sure know how to get me! I love a good adventure. I love treasure hunting, too! You are probably wondering what it is I'm bidding on. It is a little bit of everything and anything you can get on Amazon. These items are Amazon returns and some of them are unopened and like new. The app is so easy to use. You can set it for whatever you are looking for or you can search for things you didn't know you needed, lol. When you go to pick up your item/items you win, you enter in the left front entrance and grab a cart. It is quicker to pull up your app on your phone and have your barcode ready when you check in. Next step, look at your item number. The letter tells you the isle, the number tells you the section your item is waiting in on that isle. Then the next set of numbers and letters is the item id on the box on a yellow label. That's how you find your item/s. If you have any questions you can just ask any employee. They are all so nice and helpful. Tips: if you only have one item or it's not heavy you won't need a cart. If you have more than one item make sure you load them on your cart with the yellow id number facing all the same direction for easy check out. The carts are easier to pull and not so easy to control when pushing. The isles are not very wide so just know that they are dead ends. One way in and out. So if I have stuff to get on an isle and I know it's not heavy, I leave my cart parked outside the isle and walk down to get my item. They say they do pickups till 5:45, but they stop letting people in at 5:45. So maybe don't come after 5:30pm. If you are coming to pick up on the last day and they close before you can pickup, I was able to tap on hold item and they charge you $10 to hold the item for you to come back and pick it up another day. I think it was a 10 day hold. Checking out is easy, just have that barcode open on your phone for the service rep to scan and check that you have all your items and then you are good to go. I have never seen such corruption at a warehouse; I won two items--one was a piece of gym equipment valued at $439.99 on Amazon, and I won it for $2.00. When I signed up on the site, it clearly stated that all sales are final and there are no returns. To make a long story short, after driving over 40 minutes to reach customer service, I was told the item had been lost in transit. Later, I asked the supervisor, and she told me they wouldn't give me the item because it wasn't authorized for sale--meaning it was right there in the warehouse, but they refused to hand it over simply because I had won it at such a great price. I'm not making this up; I have proof. They are violating their own business policies and stealing from the customer. Once I win an item, it belongs to me--even if it's incomplete or damaged. This company does not belong in our community and has been a bully to a nearby elementary school since opening last year. Manager has even gone on school property during school hours, with students present, to yell at the administration. He gets 100 parking spots out of the 530 with his lease, and had made it impossible for the school to access the spots they lease also. He puts up cones and pallets to block the access and has even had delivery trucks park across the school parking spots to inconvenience them! Also, any electronics there's no guarantee they work, so you have to inspect yourself in person. They don't have someone checking if things work, are they nuts? You may get a deal or two but your time is worth more than what you're saving trying to outbid people and check the app every two seconds. If you're in a bid war with someone, every time someone bids last second, they add two minutes to close to give people more time to fight over it rather than closing the auction when it says it's gonna close. The employees must do a better job of inspecting items - there is no excuse to mark an item "like new" when it's damaged or has multiple parts missing. I've gotten some good deals here, but after totaling the money I've saved minus what I've lost on "like new" items being useless, I haven't saved much at all. And if I count the significant time lost driving to each location and digging through boxes, I'm in the negative. If you value your time, you're better off buying things new from Amazon.
