Claudia is an amazing mac makeup artist and I am now a return customer because of her!! After my shoot makeup artist had a conflict and could not come I went to the one place I know to trust - MAC. When I arrived I met Claudia who not only had a beautiful warm personality, but knew exactly what to do for my makeup. My shoot was for Rachel Roy swimwear and after explaining the colors of the suit she went to work and created and absolutely perfect look for an outdoor swimsuit shoot. I find her highly skilled as she took into account the environment and used this to change products so to have a look that lasted. Not only did the look last, but it was one of those times you get your makeup done and you say, "do I have to wash it off!!" I loved my makeup that much!!! To begin I am NOT a person who wears make-up on regular basis... i barely use an eye liner lol When I went to MAC i was definitely expecting someone to help me out and helped me to find the two lipsticks that I was looking for my wedding. The first lady that I saw was super rude and immediately dismiss me. I think she is from Brazil (I did not asked her name). I felt super uncomfortable. Yet, after a couple pf minutes I saw another lady (if I am not mistaken her name is Stephanie) she was so helpful and was super nice answering all my questions and concerns and with the help of another guy (white guy with blue hair) helped me to find the two lipsticks which were discontinued. I really appreciate these two salesmen (specifically Stephanie). I do recommend this place to go shopping ONLY when it has the correct customer service! read more

I love this particular MAC store. The attendants are always helpful and polite. I am make up ignorant, I never seem to apply it correctly and the girls here always answer all of my questions and give me great tips. The products in this store are a little pricey, but well worth it. Also, I love how they are trying to be a more ecofriendly company by implementing the empty container program. DO NOT schedule a makeup session at MAC. I got my appointment cancelled THE SAME DAY! I was a bridesmaid at a wedding and had to scramble to find somebody to do my makeup last minute.....it TOTALLY ruined what should have been a fun experience (getting ready for the wedding) and needless to say I didn't end up looking as I had wished for the wedding. Unbelievable and EXTREMELY unprofessional that they don't have some sort of backup if their artist gets sick or cancel last minute for whatever reason. read more

I LOVE MAC in general seeing as I'm a MAC Pro member, but every time I go in this store the sales associates look at me as if I'm an annoyance to their day. Last time in particular, I walked into the store around 8:45 (a full 45 minutes before closing) knowing exactly what I needed. I didn't need to sample products or have them color match me or make me over. I can do that myself. I stood around for about 15 minutes without any greeting, "Hi, how are you?, Can I help you?", nothing. There were multiple people cleaning showcases who could have helped me until I finally piped up after 15 minutes. I got an employee to get my brushes and items for me, and she looked annoyed when I presented my Pro card, (maybe they get commission on sales and she just got docked 40%, I don't know). Either way, I'll probably continue to go here solely on the fact that it's one of the only stores that accepts my Pro discount within driving distance of Ft. Lauderdale. Sometimes online swatches are misleading and you need to swatch real samples so I store shop, but when I don't, I'll order online. If you're a Pro member, expect rolled eyes and to be ignored. I have ONCE had a pleasant employee at this store (I forget her name) who was lovely and gave me the number of the Miami CCO. If you need to get color matched and/or made over, etc. wait til the store is not jam packed (or closing) and you'll likely receive much better service, but I also love the girls at Inglot which are a few store over which are a lot less mainstream but a little more budget conscious, and the girls are friendly. After having a crappy experience at the Pembroke Lakes location in the Macy's I thought I'd stop by when we went to Aventura. Not much of a difference at all but I did get an actual response from an associate. Meaning she actually spoke! The MAC on the 1st level was busy which was fine because I thought okay I'll find what I want myself and check out. Okay... Really hard to do when there's a two associates helping one person and the other one chatting up at the register. So I shrugged it off and went upstairs to browse. I walked by the MAC stall upstairs where the ladies suits are. I saw the two ladies were busy so I figured leaving I'd stop by and check out the lipsticks. WELL HOW INCONSIDERATE OF MY MOM AND I. So my mother purchased a suit and wanted a lipstick to match or coordinate with it. She stopped at the stall (about 10-15 minutes to close) and the girl was cleaning off the lipsticks. Couldn't get a good view of the lipsticks. Was not greeted by the two so she asked if she can help her find a lipstick. Annoyed by the question she didn't even look up at my mom and continued cleaning. She looked at the suit and my mom and said she didn't have the color or anything close. By now the other girl at the register looks up and stares at her. She continues and my mom says oh well a color close to it will be nice. She looks at me mom and says "you can look yourself and see if you find one" WELL that was it. Said thanks and left. Again twice in one MAC has proved they have crappy customer service. Friendly assistance in selecting the right foundation color for me. My skin tone changes slightly from season to season, and they patiently tested and tried a few different shades and coverages until I finally found the one. Nice recommendations on bronzer and brightener application as well. Much more pleasant experience from this gentleman than from the leering ladies at MAC Galleria in Ft. Laudy. I couldn't breathe. The makeup artist that helped me only helped me for 6 seconds and welcome another army of shoppers with a "welcome to Mac" I never got the lipstick I asked for.. It was so crowded that I left with some battle scars. As in battle scars, I mean lipstick stains on my shirt. They also never seem to have anything in stock. I seriously don't know why it's so crowded in there. If you want more room to breathe, go to the Mac in macys down stairs. read more

Came into this Mac store with a friend who is looking for assistance and waited way too long. The employees did not greet us and didn't seem to care that we were there. I personally don't care for Mac and this is one of the reasons why. Rather go into Nordstorm or Macy's for assistance. read more

This review is not based on customer service. Their customer service is ok. The problem is it's the worlds smallest mac store ever. I'm not kidding. It's the size of an efficiency. And if you're there on a Saturday there is no space to move around and look at products. I would recommend going to the mac store inside Macy's instead. Avoid yourself the frustration. I can't tell you how many times I was shoved/bumped by someone because there was no space. I finally gave up and left. Most people like to go to a MAC store because they want to try the products on and look around before making a purchase. That is not the case in this store. Too crowded and too small. Visited this location on a weekday around 1pm. It was crazy packed. I have to say I was disappointed by the service. Although the store was packed, there were about 5-7 employees talking behind the counter instead of helping customers. I had to wait about 5 minutes before I can ask someone's be for help with the product I was looking for. The person then told me to stand in line and ask one of the girls at the register to help me find it. I had about 5 people in front of me. When it was finally my "turn" at the register, the girl simply left and went to the sales floor- completely ignored me!!! Finally I got someone's attention. I had always been skeptical of this store. It's always so busy and sometimes the makeup they wear looks a little "out there," not like me who likes the au natural. look My maid of honor suggested I try them for my wedding day. It was a good deal and I was on a strict budget. Trey, who did my makeup, is a wizard. I couldn't believe how fast he worked, how professional he was, and how amazing I looked after. It was not a look I would have ever chosen for myself, but I looked absolutely glamorous and the wedding photos prove it. I felt SO beautiful and I wish that I had the sense to ask him more about what he was doing because it worked so well. A helpful suggestion for the MAC store, maybe have an index card with all of the products used during the appointment. Especially since it is such a crazy busy store, I think it would help you sell more products and help people figure out what products worked and what didn't. To the people who complained about leaving your child outside the store: It's obviously not a child-friendly place because it's so busy. I don't want your screaming child there to trip my makeup artist (and screw up my makeup) or stress me out on my wedding day even more. read more

I typically avoid Mac Pro stores because they are usually: crowded and noisy resulting in makeup artists running around like busy bees, leaving "lover of all things MAC" fiends like me to fend for ourselves; however at this location no matter the time or amount of customers in the store, I get the time and attention needed to make wise makeup choices. The staff, always professional and never afraid to say, "Girl, that color does not work for you!", In a professional manner of course. I've never experienced one of my favorite colors being out of stock and if that happens I'm certain the staff will quickly locate where I can find them. The location is easy to find and makes it easy to get in and out, avoiding making purchases from other stores where I Confirm that I don't need to purchase anything, yet close enough to these stores where I Convince myself that I reeaallly need to purchase something from them. Amazing products. What made it even better was the attention I received. I've always struggled with MAC lacking in customer service. That's why I rather go straight to Nordstorm. But I can see MAC is definitely stepping their level of service up. Thanks to ROSAURA BRITO she helped me from beginning to end. At First I went in for a new lipstick but ended leaving with 5 more things. She's amazing. Took time, and most importantly listened carefully to everything I said. Since I'm so picky. This review is based on the service of MAC not the quality of there makeup. The service is terrible. You practically have to beg an associate to help you find what you need. I was here recently to get some new brushes and there were three associates standing on the side conversing amongst themselves. FYI You go to work to help customers , not to stand around and chit chat!! I had to walk up to the group and ask one of the associates for help. She looked annoyed, but oh well. They're a great cosmetic line. I come here for my eye brow pencil. They have one of the best blonde eye brow pencils I've ever tried. It's also fun to come here and have them test out different looks on you. Depending on the mood of the associates you can get your make up done for free. read more

When I first walked into the store, the first associate who assisted me was quite rude with an attitude of 'I am not in the mood to assist you...just tell me what you want!' When I then told her 'never mind, I will go somewhere else, another employee walked over to me and asked if I needed help or a manager. Seems as though she had experienced her coworker's condisending behavior in the past. Lacey allowed me to sit and transform my original view of that Mac store in an actual pleasant makeup experience. I'm a usual M.A.C costumer and I wouldn't change it for any other brand, but today the shopping experience reassured me of why I love this brand! I was in a hurry and Paula made sure that I was a happy customer. The store is pretty small so it can get packed. I recommend going as soon as the mall opens to make in/out purchases. I did that and it took me 15-min ( I got my foundation matched, tested 4 other products, and made my final purchase). The consultants were knowledgeable but only helped when asked. read more

I waited several minutes for some assistance... 2 staff members brought up their customers to ring them up (just ignored me)...asked one person for help but she was busy with others...then the manager came out and asks loudly if everybody is good and walked over to help someone who had just walked in...felt like he saw me and made every attempt to avoid eye contact... I think this particular location is very pretentious and the manager has set a tone of staff selecting the persons they want to help and pretend you don't see the others... I've been purchasing MAC products for several years and stopped at this location for a refill, but never again. I hope this is not the new culture for MAC stores, previous visits the MAC at other locations have been pretty pleasant but this one was a horrible customer experience & left without the products I went to buy. read more

Tried out this MAC store as it was the closest to my college (20 minutes) and have been there twice with the same experience. Although I am not an avid makeup/mac wearer, I do sometimes research specific products, and go to Mac to purchase exactly what I need. I knew I wanted a specific lipstick each of the two times I have been there. The employee's stand around in groups (Must be at least 10 each time I go) and seem as if it is such a bother that I am there. I simply ask for them to get the color I need, and get on my way but I NEVER receive a Greeting without my inquiry, and feel as if the employee's are generally rude, and have bad customer service skills. I actually get mad I have to give them my service, but every other Mac I have been to are great so I know it's just this location and employee's. Get it together Mac! read more

Worst customer service. So here was my awesome Mac experience which happened about a year ago and congrats to Mac Aventura since this has been the place ranked worst service in my life so yay. I went about a year ago to this location. Mind you I am a license esthetician and I freelance as a makeup artist from time to time so I know the industry very well and get discounts from multiple places except Mac since really it's not my favorite brand to use but I like to throw it in my Kit since it's a really popular and known makeup line that most clients request I have in my kit. So after the gym I needed to pick up a foundation for myself and a few lip liners and I was thinking about buying some lipsticks. I went in and no one greeted me, ok I figured they are very busy I understand, I tried calling over an associate but they all just walked passed me, and I totally get it when a store is busy so I didn't get mad and I waited, I decided again to call an associate but again I was ignored, but it's so funny how I saw multiple Mac girls greet customers that looked like they were going to spend money since of course they had expensive purses and makeup on point so of course ignore the customer in her gym cloths. I literally stood inside Mac for 20 minuets with no associate even coming up to me I couldn't believe it, so I was tired of trying to call someone over and decided to get the items myself and mind you I didn't know the customers couldn't open the drawers but then again no associate acknowledged me so how would I know as a customer. So when this blonde chick who later I found out was a manager or supervisor saw me I FINALLY got someone's attention and with an attitude she just told me "can I help you" and I said still in a respectful manner "Hi yes I wanted to buy a foundation" and I swear to god this girl told an associate to help me and she didn't even try to whisper but she told the associate to keep an eye on me that I was a shoplifter. I felt so bad after I wanted to cry I was so patient with these associates and after waiting for so long this is how I get treated, and this blond chick couldn't keep her eyes off my sorry I didn't know the drawers weren't meant to be opened but how can associates at a retail store ignore a customer for so long and I tried stopping multiple girls for help. I got the foundation and at this point I didn't want anything else forget the lipsticks and lip liners sorry I didn't come in this store with a full face of makeup and expensive handbags maybe if I did I would have gotten treated a bit differently. And in that moment I didn't make a big deal or get a manager involved I just bought my item and left feeling really bad. Believe it or not I did go a second time to this store 7 months later since I wanted to try a concealer. This time I was able to stop someone for help but this associate seemed to really not like her job and gave me the wrong color concealer, I'm Neutral I mean if your a real makeup artist you can see that but she gave me a pink undertone concealer....... till this day I have it and used it once. One thing this store needs to learn is to treat every customer the same and don't just judge a customer on how much they are going to spend based on looks cause you never know whose going to drop big money in your store. Called last week on Thursday to get a trial run for my Wedding and to request someone to handle my Wedding as well a month later. They told me that they would call a day later. I didn't hear back so I called them a day later. They said that would call me back. Still two days passed by when I called a third time for them to tell me that they can do my trial run but cannot guarantee my wedding day :/. I thought that was the point of a trail run??? Then they said since we didn't talk about whether I would go to the store or the person comes to me, then it is NOT the stores responsibility to call me back. It is up to the individual, even though I called the store and got the individual's name?!?!?! Then they said that they would post my name in the back and it would be up to someone to call me if they would like. I said they why didn't you tell me this 4 days ago. Now I have 3 days to find an Artist and I'm back to square one. I am an Event Planner by trade and will NOT recommend this place. They need to work on their delivery, follow through and customer service... read more

I'm not a huge make up person but I do like the MAC eye shadows. So it pains me to say that I am returning the eye shadows I have not used and not planning on buying their products again. I go to the Aventura store and have yet to have good customer service. They clearly work on commission. The sales people will tell you whatever you are wearing looks good and not give you an honest opinion. Poor customer service is the reason I'm not planning on shopping there any more. I recently bought a holiday make up brush set. I was told they could only pre sell it to me that day and that I had to pick it up the next day. I picked it up and thought about it and decided to return it (unopened/ unused) two weeks later. I was told that I could only get merchandise credit since the sales associate rung it up by purchasing it with a gift card first (I did not ask for this nor was I told that I wouldn't be able to get my money back). The store manager gave me the run around or a few days telling me she had to check with her corporate office. I finally called their customer service and the lady there was really nice and agreed to refund me my money but I won't shop in a store where I'm not treated well as a shopper and can't trust to be treated fairly if there is an issue with the product or because off something they did to try to protect their commission. read more
