Firstly my spouse and I have been shopping around for an auto loan and applied at multiple places to see who would give us the best offer. We have been accepted by two other credit unions for the same offer we requested with Denali. Denali requires a full year of employment for all applicants vs the 6 months most other credit unions require, the fact that my co-applicant has been in one position with the same company for 3 years was not enough employment history to show them we have had consistently steady income at all times. A medical debt of less than $300 that we have documented payment plans with would prevent us from getting a loan with them until it was 100% satisfied whereas with the two credit unions that accepted our offer I simply supplied them with payment plan terms and the account balance since what is currently on equifax is incorrect. The customer service rep's tone wasn't very pleasant and I was a little shocked to be talked to like I shouldn't be expecting to be able to get a loan because as someone who works in finance and recently spoke with representatives at other institutions I know that those terms aren't the norm. My spouse and I aren't extremely well off but we can absolutely afford a car payment, which is why other institutions did give us preapprovals for the amount we requested. Overall they aren't interested in making money, looking into details and if the person I spoke to is a good representation of their company they're not pleasant to talk to. Alaska USA and Credit Union 1 are both much easier to work with and the ladies in their loan departments are very pleasant.

Everything (cashier's checks included) is done on a kiosk. The kiosks are just ATMs with a tv screen and phone. Yay. My husband asked the girl that was greeting people coming in if there's ever any tellers, etc. because the past few months at this new location no one is ever there. She said that her bosses were both in meetings at that time so no, no one was available (even though she has a desk right by the door). Now that the Covid craze is over they can't use that as the excuse as to why there's ZERO customer service and staff. Also, the person on the other end when using the kiosk wasn't knowledgeable. I asked that employee about a check that I had just deposited in that kiosk a minute beforehand and when it would all be made available. That girl said the funds were released. I gave her both the available balance and the ending balance on the receipt for that account (2 different amounts as funds were held). In a nutshell she said she sees that it's all available. Just for kicks about 40 minutes ago I called the 800 number to check the balance, sure enough, the whole check was not made available. And yes, there are funds to cover the entire check.

Tried to deposit a refund check from my deceased sister's real estate property taxes, showed them the letter of Testamentary from the Court, they refused to do it, because they said they changed the rules, yet no one at Global can provide me a copy of the change in rules. It gets better, on April 4th 2023, I deposited a check for $10,208.03 for my sister's property tax refund for 2021/2022, the exact same place they refused to deposit a check for the amount of $1367.4, on August 28th 2023. As for me, I'm going to start pulling all of my money out of Global CU, as they cannot be trusted with my money! Sad thing is they don't give a Shit!

They said because the account was linked with my phone number and email they could not consider it fraud and I would be out the 1800 dollars. When I said wow they could have drained my account dry and you guys wouldn't do anything I was told take it up with the police. By the way a police report was filed and they said go to the bank. I will find a new bank as I don't feel my money is secure.

The kid working in back had the audacity to interrogate me about why I was adding a secondary and why don't I have credit cards, as I'm frantic and upset about my account getting closed and my bills bouncing and my paycheck getting direct deposited to nowhere. They were way more concerned with pressuring me to open a new account than fixing their mistakes. Is that the game? Wells Fargo screws up, never apologizes, puts all the blame on me for not being a mind reader, then just shuffles their mistake into a new account? Is there a financial benefit to them for doing this?? I seriously want to know.
