I was disappointed with the customer service. My daughter brought her car in because she had run over a nail and knew it was causing her tire to lose air. Instead of listening to her concerns, the worker repeatedly insisted she was wrong and argued that they couldn't find anything. After continuing to look, they finally found the nail, pulled it out, and it was clearly the source of the air leak. Everyone has busy and stressful days, but taking a moment to listen to your customers goes a long way. Had they listened from the beginning instead of dismissing her concerns, the experience would have been much more positive. When I need more tires for my other car I returned. The thing is... my 2nd car needed odd tires sizes in a staggard setup. Two days ago, I stopped to have two tires swapped over to two different wheels for an old car of mine. The price was $12.50 per wheel. Wheels were already off the car, a quick job. They then proceeded to help 3 other customers that had arrived after I had been there. I continued on my drive home. I then stopped at the Quality Used Tire store in Chico. $17.50 per wheel! I mentioned the cheaper price at the Oroville store and was told "that's the price." I then stopped at Discount Tire in Chico. Price? FREE!! Today I drove home on my 4 new tires on my Mini I purchased from Discount Tire. A $650 transaction. That's how you do business, that's how you treat a customer and that's how you get the sale. read more

I had two sets of trailer tires/wheels where I needed to have the tires from one set switched to the other set (total of four tire dismount & remounts). I had called other places in town who quoted me $100 to do the job. I called Quality Used Tires in Oroville and spoke to Andy. He told me they would do the job for $40. I took the tires/wheels in and met Andy who is very personable and professional. He apologized that they had two jobs ahead of mine and that it might take an hour. What a pleasant surprise! Most places would have taken a lot longer. I also asked him about balancing the wheels. He said it was not really necessary for trailer tires but if that is what I wanted, he would be happy to do it. When I ask how much extra it would be, he replied, "no extra charge". What an amazing surprise that was! Any other place would have charged more. An hour later I was able to pick up my tires/wheels mounted and balanced exactly as I had requested. When I paid Andy the $40, he was very much appreciative of my business. Another welcome change from what I have experienced at some other places. I would certainly recommend Andy and Quality Used Tires to anyone else. read more
