Joe deserves all the stars in the world! Ran into an unexpected, sudden car issue one late evening…read moreand had to leave town in a couple of days, so granted this was a bit stressful for us. Joe answered my call quickly and provided an estimate, and could be available as early as next day. I was initially a tiny bit worried about some of the reviews I read about scheduling/showing up, but Joe put my worries at ease and communicated with me within a reasonable amount of time and showed up when he said he would. He and his partner were communicative, kind, trustworthy, knowledgeable and skilled at what they do. They worked on our car repair in the pouring rain with no complaints! I would recommend them again and again and again. The mobile aspect was extremely appreciated and so valuable - we didn't need to worry about a tow or timing logistics to get the car to a shop before they close (because come on, most people work!) This service company offered me a quote for a battery replacement and installation. It was one of…read morethose situations where the offer seemed too good to be true but I thought maybe he can get his batteries cheaper than what is being offered at the auto parts store. I made an appointment that was confirmed. for them to come out and replace my battery. The appointment was for between 12:00 - 2:00. I sat in my car for a little over two hours and he never showed up. He never called. I called the number provided and the voicemail was full...not a good sign. At 2:40 I canceled the appointment.

I had a nightmare experience with 2tech Auto in chico Ca, (read the yelp review its an entertaining…read morereview) and only 2 hours left on my breathalyzer till it locked out my car, this was from disconnecting the battery which is apparently not allowed. I did so cause the unit was draining the battery at night to keep itself warm in the cold. Nevertheless I called 99smog and Tune and he said come on out with no appointment, which saved me a 300$ tow if he had said make an appointment my car would have locked out. When I got there they were very sympathetic towards my situation and had me out of there in 15 minutes. I couldnt have expected them to show more empathy and kindness from what had endured at 2tech auto. They charge less than most places and their minimum is only 55$. Its a nice drive to Gridley 20 minutes if you live in Chico go to to these guys. Very professional worth the drive.

Most auto shops have to pay at least a dozen employees and pay rent so they jack up their prices or offer services that don't really need to be done. It's just business. But thankfully Jeff doesn't run like these places. He took care of my car's needs efficiently and at a fair price. My fiancé and I are so happy we found our auto mechanic! As far as the negative reviews go, they are unfortunate, but they're also years old... it's absolutely apparent he took them to heart and adjusted himself for the betterment of his business.
