So you could imagine how…read moredistressed I was to learn that the Venetian doesn't have a coffee maker of any sort in the suites. Thank goodness for Bouchon Bakery being conveniently located just outside of the North Tower elevators. The pastries here are top notch. I love their croissants. Probably some of the best I've had, and I've tried many. Flaky on the outside and light and moist on the inside. Clean flavor shows they use a good quality butter. Paired with a vanilla latte. So good! The coffee they use is delicious. They offer almond and oat milk at an additional cost. I'll overlook that because their coffees really are that good. Service is quick and friendly. The barista gets those coffees out quickly so don't worry if there's a line. Very happy to start my day here each morning.

Line wasn't crazy at 10am. Cold brew was mild and dangerously drinkable. I spoiled myself on pastries with a Kouign-amann, everything bagel croissant, and a chocolate-almond croissant alongside a slice of spinach quiche. The Kouign-amann was incredible. Buttery, flakey, and caramelized. A delight of flavors, textures, and aromas. Absolutely a must-order. For something more savory, the everything bagel croissant was flakey and coated to the max with everything bagel topping. The quiche was a little disappointing. It was well set and creamy, but the crust was a bit dense. Spinach quiche is a little boring anyway; I would reorder it in a different flavor for sure. Sadly the chocolate almond croissant was simply not good. Something about combining the almond filling with the chocolate made the interior dense and unappetizing. I thought this would be my favorite but in the end I took only a few bites.

The sandos were the target and I'm so glad they satisfied. The Hojicha Latte was one of the best I've had and they are all fairly priced. The decor and service were both thoughtful and great. I've been coming to Suzuya Patisserie for years. There was a time when I came almost every week,…read moreand whenever my friends had birthdays, I would preorder their cakes here because I genuinely love the quality of the desserts. My family and I have supported Suzuya since the very beginning, when the first location opened on Durango. We've watched the business grow over the years, which makes this experience even more disappointing. Unfortunately, today's visit was one of the worst customer service experiences I've had. I ordered a breakfast crepe, a curry cheese sandwich, a mango mochi, and a whole cake. The breakfast items were served without any fork or knife. When I asked for utensils, there was no effort to provide them. The mango mochi was also served without utensils. When I politely asked the staff member wearing the mask for a fork, she simply replied, "You don't need utensils." That response honestly surprised me. Mango mochi is sticky and messy to eat by hand. It wasn't about the fork itself--it was the complete lack of willingness to provide even the most basic customer service. The bigger issue was when I purchased a birthday cake for a friend. I was told there were no bags available for a 6-inch cake. However, I saw other customers receiving bags. I even asked, "If I buy two more cakes, making it three cakes total, would you be able to give me a bag? I only have two hands." The answer was still no. That response simply made no sense. What made the experience even more upsetting was how I was treated because I had my service dog with me. My dog is a professionally trained service dog--not a pet. He remained calm throughout the entire visit. He never barked, never approached anyone, never disturbed other customers, and simply laid quietly beside me. Despite that, I was questioned about whether he was a service dog, whether he had a service vest, and then told that because I had my service dog with me, we would have to sit outside. I found this extremely disappointing. My dog was behaving exactly as a trained service dog should, yet I was still directed outside solely because he was with me. I sincerely hope the staff receive proper training on how to respectfully interact with customers who rely on service animals. Every customer deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. After being directed outside because of my service dog and then repeatedly being refused basic accommodations that should have been simple to provide, it became difficult not to question whether my service dog influenced the way I was treated. I truly hope that wasn't the case, but it certainly felt that way. This isn't just my opinion anymore. Many friends have shared the same experience with me over the years: the cakes are excellent, but the customer service is consistently disappointing. People return because the desserts are amazing--not because of the hospitality. Sadly, it often feels like there's no warmth or genuine care for customers. I've always heard wonderful things about Mike, and from what I've seen, he seems like a genuinely kind person. I can't help but wonder how he would feel if he knew loyal customers were leaving with experiences like this. I'm usually not someone who complains or leaves negative reviews. It takes a lot for me to write something like this. But after years of supporting this business, I believe this experience needed to be shared. Suzuya truly makes fantastic desserts, and that's exactly why this review is so disappointing for me to write. Great products should never be an excuse for poor customer service. Loyal customers deserve to feel welcomed, respected, and appreciated--not dismissed.

But once you find the beautiful, ornate wooden door and step inside, you're transported into a charming little wonderland. The interior is unlike any other café in Las Vegas, with a greenhouse feel, small trees, unique décor, and plenty of cozy spaces to relax. The atmosphere is airy, whimsical, and fun. My favorite drink is the Iced Butterfly Latte, a delicious banana-flavored latte that's both unique and refreshing. I've also ordered the Berry Ricotta Brioche several times, and it's always amazing. The menu offers a great variety of pastries, sandwiches, desserts, and specialty drinks, so there's something for everyone. Pro tip: Find a table before ordering! This place gets very busy, and seating fills up quickly. If you're with friends or family, have someone save a table while the others order. Overall, Gäbi is one of my favorite cafés in Las Vegas, and I continue to bring friends and family whenever I get the chance. Between the delicious food and drinks, the beautiful atmosphere, and the hidden speakeasy vibe, it's truly one of the most unique café experiences in town.

Restrooms were really clean and had the same style decor too, so I appreciated that attention to detail. However, I docked 2 stars since I couldn't order anything. I arrived at 939pm, looked at the menu and decided on a slice of the Ube Crepe cake and one of the Apple Cinnamon macarons. They don't close until 10pm and people were still coming in, and there were still plenty of people sitting in the restaurant, but the staff didn't let me order anything at 945pm saying that she doesn't take any more orders after 930pm. What?!?! What the hell? You're open for a whole 30 more minutes and don't want to take my money - am I hearing that right? My friend had cash on him, and he was willing to pay cash if that's less of a hassle, and still no. It's not even to-go only, it was a flat-out no, before their 10pm closing time. THAT IS CALLED CRAP SERVICE. However, the 3 stars instead of 1 or 2 stars is because one anonymous employee who witnessed that go down changed my perspective of this spot. This person asked me not to reveal their identity on my Yelp review out of fear of getting in trouble. They overheard me trying to order but got turned away, then pointed to the macaron in a box in the fridge on display right there to my friend. So as I was walking towards the bathroom, this person (different than the girl who rudely turned me away) apologized for what happened and gave me the apple cinnamon macaron as a gift. That was so sweet of them. The macaron was absolutely perfect too, it was delicious - the perfect texture of the macarons, apple filling, in the center between the cream, with the crunch from I think they were dried apple bits on the side of the cream - amazing!!! But still insanely Vegas tourist trap rip off overpriced with the macaron that person gave me worth $8.35/piece. Honey & Butter Macarons in Irvine, CA or Durian Macarons at Sweet Mood in Westminster, CA, still keep their also delicious macarons under $5 each while having cute decor/ambiance (I'll admit they're not as impressive and unique as this spot though). But they're essentially banking on tourists not knowing any better and what things should actually be worth/gouging tourists as much as they can. Essentially, you're paying for the ambiance. Definitely not paying for the crap service. Food is good, but not astronomically priced good - you're kidding yourselves. You may be able to get away with stuff like that if you're inside one of the luxurious casinos on the Strip, like Venetian, Caesars, Bellagio, etc. But especially being off-strip, get a reality check. I may come back (thanks to your anonymous employee's kind gesture giving me that macaron), but it's more just to show my parents the cool ambiance.

The sweet items have also become a major disappointment. What used to be fresh, well-made, and worth going out of the way for now tastes stale and, in my opinion, is no longer enjoyable. It is especially disappointing because this place had a strong reputation and genuinely used to be good. Overall, it feels expensive, overhyped, and no longer worth the visit. The savory selection may still be decent, but the bakery's sweets and flower shop quality have fallen far below what they used to be.
