I'm one of those "coffee first, talk later" kind of people in the morning. So you could imagine how distressed I was to learn that the Venetian doesn't have a coffee maker of any sort in the suites. Thank goodness for Bouchon Bakery being conveniently located just outside of the North Tower elevators. The pastries here are top notch. I love their croissants. Probably some of the best I've had, and I've tried many. Flaky on the outside and light and moist on the inside. Clean flavor shows they use a good quality butter. Paired with a vanilla latte. So good! The coffee they use is delicious. They offer almond and oat milk at an additional cost. I'll overlook that because their coffees really are that good. Service is quick and friendly. Not to be confused with Bouchon (#1) along Venetian's famed restaurant row, Bouchon Bakery already has the distinction as one of the longest standing businesses within the casino. Opened 20 years ago from multi-Michelin star winner, Thomas Keller, this chef-driven bakery is actually a small stall that sits in front of the Venetian Theatre. What it lacks in visibility, it makes up for in quality pastries that few places in Vegas have been able to match. There is no seating, so this is strictly a takeout situation. The display case is usually stock full of goodies in pastry form, but the two standouts here is the kouign amann and their enormous French macaron. The latter makes it look more like a cookie, but it is as delicate and delicious as any should be. Their kouign amann is their unofficial star of the show since it's sensational. That caramelized laminated dough is so difficult to pull off, but it's done beautifully here. Additionally their chocolate chip cookies are strangely addicting. The butter that is used to bake them is obvious with each bite and the cream cheese danishes are like cupcakes with a harder texture. Great option to grab a quick breakfast if staying at Venetian/palazzo. The line can get long in the motifs but goes by decently quick. It is pricy for what it is, but I expected that for the convenience. All the pastries came toasted which was perfect for eating on the go. It was well set and creamy, but the crust was a bit dense. Spinach quiche is a little boring anyway; I would reorder it in a different flavor for sure. My friends and I stopped by Bouchon Bakery around 9:45 a.m. on a busy Monday morning to get pastries for breakfast and we were lucky enough to snag the last three Kouign-amanns. My wife and I also picked up a pain au chocolat to share as well. The outer shell of the croissant was crunchy and extremely messy to eat. With each bite, the croissant flaked apart -- making an absolute mess all over my shirt and the floor. In terms of flavor, the croissant oddly didn't have a very buttery taste to it. Although the layers were visible, signaling that the croissant was skillfully made, the layers felt a little dense and ate a bit dry. Perhaps the croissant was left out for far too long, or was not freshly baked. We were not offered an option to have the croissant heated up. On the other hand, the Kouign-amann was really tasty. If you see a Kouign-amann behind the case, I would definitely recommend ordering it. Like the croissant, the outer shell of the Kouign-amann had a nice crunch to it. However, unlike the croissant, each bite didn't result in flakes of the pastry falling everywhere. Each layer is incredibly satisfying to bite through, and the bottom has a sizable caramel crust. If you have a sweet tooth, this is the pastry for you. You'll certainly want to have a cup of coffee to wash this one down. Overall, a 3.5 star experience that rounds down to a three. Are you staying at the Venetian in the north Tower? If so, this is the closest caffeine supplier to the elevators, but it's so much more than just coffee. They have a delectable collection of baked goods. When we were there, it was a Saturday morning around 10 AM, not the time you wanna be there as the line wrapped around the whole shop and down towards the escalator. It was about a 10 minute wait for us to get to the front of the line, but it was worth it. We resisted the baked goods, barely. They seem to have six or eight different portions of about 10 different items and they were colorful, seasonal and fresh beyond the baked goods. They had some bowls of fruit and other healthier options for your consideration. It's a great location if you're in the north tower but at 10 AM on a Saturday it is a crowded environment. People are emptying in and out of the elevator area of the North tower, and so the flow of people was loud and continuous. So, kudos to the Bouchon Bakery for having a great location, doing their best to provide a quality product quickly, in a loud and rowdy spot. Would I go there again? Yes. read more

I searched for this place on our first trip to Venetian and couldn't find it. It is literally under the escalator to the food court. If you need the Venetian side elevators, you'd find it easily. Not so much if you don't... Now that I found it, I am in love! I am somewhat of a cheese danish connoisseur, and I am always seeking a good one. The first one I had, I honestly wasn't sure. There's a lot of pastry, so also a lot of filling, but the pastry part is very flaky, kind of like a cronut. I wasn't sure if I liked it, but the next day I wanted another one, so I tried again, lol. On my last day, on the way to the airport, in lieu of lunch, I got another one. So yes, I liked it. I passed over all other desserts in Vegas to indulge in this one several times over. We live in Las Vegas and come to Bouchon Bistro regularly....we've been craving the bakery items, so specifically came to the Venetian 30 minutes early, to get some pastries/shortbreads to take home after our dinner reservation. Even though we verified that the bakery was open till 5pm....it was not. The lights were off when we walked up at 4:30, and when we approached to ask if they were still open, the young lady cleaning out the case replied, (without even looking at us) 'We're closed'. When I asked, 'you are not open till 5?' she responded, once again without even looking up, 'we're closed'. It's ok to close at 4:30, but then please don't advertise being open, or telling customers that you are open till 5pm, when you are not. Whenever we stay at The Venetian, we absolutely need to drop by this hidden gem for some coffee and pastries. Bouchon Bakery is the extension of Bouchon restaurant hidden inside the casino. The baristas here are super sweet and attentive. I asked for a custom order of decaf iced latte with oak milk and they made a perfect iced latte for me. We got their giant pistachio macaron (perfectly sweet), almond croissant (giant size but it's way too crispy for my liking), blueberry muffin (super yummy), and chocolate chip cookies (nom nom nom!) It's behind a set of escalators which I feel if you didn't know it was there it would be hard to miss and the directions from my phone did not make it clear. Anywho, I had been wanting to try their cream cheese danish for the longest as I've heard good things about it. I ended up ordering two, and an oat milk vanilla latte. The danish and my coffee were good, service was ok. At almost $8 for each pastry and coffee coming out to $9 with tax and a tip my total was just under $27. So it's definitely on the pricier side. The pastry was good, I ate the whole thing, which I often have a hard time doing. The lady taking orders seemed friendly to the parties ahead of me, and didn't say much when it was my turn. No worried but it definitely doesn't leave me wanting to rush back with that price point. Overall if you like gourmet pastries there may be something there for you to enjoy. This is a very small bakery shack located inside the Venetian hotel. Was a bit tricky to find this place but when in doubt, ask a staff that you're looking for the bakery (not restaurant - that's a different direction). We went on a slow Sunday afternoon where most people were leaving so the line wasn't too bad at the time I visited. This bakery was recommended by a friend so I didn't really know what's good here but tried a classic Croissant, Better Nutter, and a seasonal pastry that was savory. I tried the croissant first and it was nicely flakey, buttery and soft inside. Not overly greasy. My initial thoughts were it's good, I've had really good ones in SF so I wasn't sure why this is famous at first. But the more I ate the croissant that's when it really kicked in and I REALLY enjoyed it. It's not just the texture of the croissant but the flavor was really nice - it's gotta be some really high quality butter or dough consistency or something. I've also tried few bites of my husband's Better Nutter and it is what you think it is. It's an elevated Nutter Butter. If you're a peanut lover this hits the spot. The oatmeal in the peanut butter cookie compliments the soft peanut butter buttercream. I have not tried my seasonal pastry yet because I wanted to save for later but overall loved the pastries here. This place is super harr to find if you aren't staying at the hotel and there is no nearby seating so I would only recommend it if you are staying here. Edited 30 minutes later to add - (tmi warning) something I ate here turned my stomach into a high pressure gas factory that didn't let up after 2 gas-x and didn't stop until I *ahem* forcibly ejected everything. We stopped in this morning and grabbed coffee and a macaron, and everything was excellent. We ordered a peppermint latte and a mocha, and both coffees were smooth, rich, and well-balanced, not overly sweet or watered down. FYI - this bakery is physically separate from its sister restaurant, Bouchon, which is at least a 5 minute walk away. On this occasion, I ordered the Leek Roquefort Quiche for the first time. They warm it up for you without you having to ask. If you like blue cheese, you'll love this! I appreciated the fact that the cashier advised me that it has blue cheese in it before he accepted my payment, as I know it is a bit of an acquired taste. Little did he know I happen to be a fan of blue cheese, and Roquefort in particular! The quiche was well made, and while the flavour of the Roquefort was strong, it wasn't overpowering, at least for my taste. I tried the Quiche Lorraine Danish several times previously, which was absolutely superb and my favourite item there, sadly, however, they no longer have this item on the menu. In addition, they also serve espresso drinks and coffee, custom-blended by Equator Coffees, Chef Keller's longtime partner. Bouchon is a perfect spot to grab a coffee and light breakfast or lunch. Bouchon was the closest bakery to where I was staying in Vegas so I decided to head over on the first morning for breakfast. This bakery is on the ground floor of the Venetian, conveniently located behind the central escalators, but a bit difficult to find due to placement. It's basically just a little stall for take and go pastries and drinks. There aren't any tables or seats around, making it pretty inconvenient trying to find a place to sit down and eat. The line in the morning always seems to be quite long, but it goes pretty quickly. Chocolate Almond Croissant ($7.30) - This is double baked, making it very hard with a firm crunch that lacerates the mouth while eating. Some bakeries douse their double baked croissants in syrup to try to soften the edges a bit - not this one. This croissant is sweet and has the taste of very caramelized butter. It's flaky but super dry due to the double bake. There are two chocolate batons inserted inside with a good amount of sweet almond frangipane sandwiched between the two halves of the croissant. Overall it's not a bad croissant but I wasn't expecting a double baked one and it did not help that my mouth hurt afterwards.
