The staff was super friendly & made me feel welcome the second I walked in. The vibe was amazing, & the fact that they're walk-in friendly makes it even better. He was incredibly friendly, attentive, and took the time to help my daughter design the perfect skateboard. They had so many awesome deck designs to choose from, a great selection of wheels, and tons of fun stickers that made the whole experience even more exciting for her. While we were waiting for everything to be put together, I believe the manager came out and was just as friendly. He welcomed us and made us feel right at home, which really added to the overall experience. One thing that really stood out to me was a sign about rewarding kids for getting good grades. I thought it was such a cool idea that they encourage kids by letting them earn free skateboard parts and other goodies. I love seeing businesses invest in their community like that. Thank you to Antonio and the whole team for making my daughter's first skateboard such a fun and memorable experience. We will definitely be back!

When we realized all 3 pads wouldn't fit in our car alongside our luggage, we went back in and the employee working was super helpful, easily swapping one out for a smaller size with zero hassle. Both picking up and dropping off the gear was completely seamless. Highly recommend their rental department; I'll definitely be renting and buying from them again!

I would encourage you to ride a bike (tons of bike parking) or take public transit. There is not a lot of parking for cars here, although you could park on the street. I also shop at REI, but much prefer Sports Basement. I even use their free 1lb propane tank refills (after initial purchase of a refillable tank) and I feel that that is a very smart thing to do give that the normal propane canisters are totally non-recyclable and considered hazardous waste, so you cannot and should not even throw them away. I found a hazardous waste disposal/recycle site where I got rid of mine, good riddance. The refillable ones they sell at Sports Basement is the way to go. Sports Basement has a good return policy and for the most part friendly people working there. I did run in to what seemed like an incompetent phone support person however. I had called the 800 number to cancel a preorder on a bike and she acted like she had no idea what I was talking about, and ended up telling me I would have to call the store I had set it for pick up at. It turns out, I was able to cancel the preorder via the 'AI' chatbot on the website. I'm really not sure why the phone rep. wasn't able to help with that.

If you can even call it that. I have returned the product and have not gotten my money back. I do not want them to try to fix anything as I do not trust their cobbler knows what they're doing. Unless I'm interested in ending my career. I'm not one to usually do any of this but I want to warn people to NOT BUY from SP-Teri EVER. My feet don't fit the stock Riedell and Jackson boots, and I've been disappointed after visiting other shops. During my visit to A&G, George (the G of A&G) fitted me in a split-width SP-Teri boot, which is narrower in heel than ball of feet. I couldn't believe how well they fit! I felt like Cinderella finally putting on my long-lost glass slipper. As a beginning skater, the skates were more expensive than I was hoping to pay, but I know they will make up for it in the reduction of pain and hopefully faster improvement. If the SP-Teri's don't fit, they also have Riedell and Jackson brand boots. Definitely check out this skate shop. I'll definitely come here again for all my future sharpenings and skating needs.
