I found MacDonald's to be the best repair shop I've been to. I've been taking my car there for about 5 years now. The last time we had a bit of a dispute. I spoke with the manager, Pete, who resolved it promptly, professionally and friendly. They not only fix your car, they actually show you what's wrong with it, what they need to do to it and I've learned a lot about car care from them. They also do little things that make them stand out...leave a bag of candies in the car, give me a tee shirt, a pen with every invoice. They've driven me home and picked me up, or gave me a loaner, when I had to leave it. Every last one of the staff is extremely friendly and professional, including their front of the shop staff. Anymore, it seems to be an exception to receive good service, good price, and goodwill. MacDonald's is clearly that exception. Good customer service is extremely important to me and they excel at it. Just left home at 8:00 A.M. on June 2, 2018 traveling to St Catherines to attend my wife's parents 70th wedding anniversary when the vehicle oil warning and stabalizer warning light came on. Quickly called and talked to Laura at MacDonald Automotive and explained the issue and the importance of the trip and my time restraints. She said bring it right in and the vehicle will go up on the first available hoist. Arrived at the shop about 8:30 A.M. and by 9:00 A.M. my vehicle issue was being investigated. Luckily the issue was minor and we were on the road about 9:30 A.M. We made it to the anniversary party on time. I always try do do my own car repairs. However I ran into a problem I couldn't fix without taking my car off the road for a few days. I went to them and they gave me a quote I couldn't refuse. I knew it was a tight time frame they gave themselves. I left my car there for the night and the next day. When I went to pick it up I learned they went way over on hours. They didn't ask for a penny more, and they still offered me complimentary cookies and pop. You can't get a better or more loyal service anywhere. The car road perfectly afterwards too. As returning CDN residents and settling in Windsor, ON, we took our old '98 van in to have a new part installed, wheels rotated, aligned and balanced. I was able to set an appointment for the next day (at my convenience) and the work was completed. The work performed was splendid and the price very reasonable. I did not need the free shuttle service nor a loaner auto which is available for customers. In Sept 2017 I was impressed when dealing with this business. They completed my car repair in a timely fashion and kept in touch with me throughout the day for my input and to answer my questions. I was very happy with the shuttle service. They presented me with some perks, such a free oil change coupon and a baseball cap and re-usable water bottle. Their front staff person: Kale, has excellent customer services skill. He was pleasant and spoke to me with respect, which is not always the case for a woman customer at a garage. read more

I used to live in Windsor and now I live in Toronto; a place where it is hard to determine a safe place to do your auto repairs. MacDonalds's Auto repaired my brakes and flushed and replaced my fluids at a price that was reasonable and, more importantly, gave me great service at a fair price, that other mechanic shops wouldn't or couldn't in the time window that I needed. I have a 2012 Ford Escape. It needed servicing for both the battery and the differential. I found the employees to be professional and pleasant. The work was done for the price that I was originally quoted on the phone. Prior to servicing the differential they did check it for no charge, to ensure it needed to be serviced.
