Wish I had gone to one of the many other alternatives in Oban, this place isn't very good and it's expensive

Trust me my fellows, if you want a treat for some of the freshest seafood with minimum add on…read morecooking that takes away the freshness, sweetness of the seafood, I mean oysters, lobsters, crabs, whelks... you are in HEAVEN here ! I had the best seafood here in Oban Scotland! A massive ouster is Only 1.2 pound each ! With this market, are you kidding me ??? I had similar oysters in a restaurant downtown Glasgow 12 for 50 pounds ! This is the absolutely the best hands down fresh off the boat seafood you can have in my humble opinion! This place made my dream and thirst for seafood especially oysters come true ! Thank you Oban, Scotland! Please let's all support this business and support the locals ! If I have to recommend anything, This is IT ! If I can give 10 stars I will give a hundred !

Oh my god this place is the best.. Oban is the place for seafood and this place is the place to get…read moreit.. Whilst waiting for the ferry to Barra me and my friend decided to get a deluxe seafood platter.. We decided to go for take away as we were soon going to board the ferry, so sat in the car to eat it.. The box contained a whole lobster, 2 crab claws, 2 scallops, 2 langustines, loads of mussels, small prawns, medium prawns, razor clams, clams and calamari.. It also came with two dips and some salad.. All this for just £27.. Total bargain and fresh.. Staff were lovely, friendly and helpful.. There is also the option to sit in on a wee bench and table.. But be prepared to be rained on.. On my route back I stopped in again and got 3 crab claws (my favourite) the cost was £2.30 they go by weight.. I sat on the harbour wall to eat them which was just prefect and I managed to finish them before the rain started.. This place is a must if you are in Oban..

I dined at EE-USK after exploring Oban last month. They came highly recommended by my tour guide…read more We did not have reservations, but there were ample seats when we dropped in for lunch. The interior is draped in contemporary decor, and there is scenic water views overlooking the harbor. The holiday lights set the mood. The food was delicious and the seafood was fresh. I had the mussels and sea bass. Both were perfectly cooked. I did not have dessert because they were out of the pudding that I wanted. I would definitely dine here again for good food and drinks. Hopefully the service would be warmer on my next visit. The staff was not welcoming when approached.

Great, famous spot right on the Pier, serving up the freshest seafood you can imagine. The service…read moreis nuts -- multiple people taking responsibility for your orders and delivery of food. It's a very austere interior -- all glass -- but intentional for the lights out views of the working fishing harbor. Of course we had to have the oysters! They were very deep cups; meaty; and creamy, unlike any oyster I've had before. For American sensibilities, no cocktail sauce, or mignonette, which disappointed my husband, but I was fine with it. Lots of lemon is the Scottish way! We also had one of their specials, the lobster & langoustine cocktail, which, again for American sensibilities, was lobster & langoustine bits on lettuce, with a DELICIOUS rose dressing, not the meat in a martini glass with sauce.... Our dining partners had beautiful, plump mussels, which they shared and devoured; another had the open faced salmon, also scraped clean from the plate. We returned the next day for a reservation I'd made online, only to find we weren't on the list. Since reservations in Scotland are more than recommended, we asked for help from our desk agent, who said this happens at eeusk a good bit. So, please be sure to have an email confirmation, or simply call/stop in yourself to make your resy. Cheers!
