We're not locals. Drove into town because we needed a 10ft U-Haul truck rental to pick up some used furniture and deliver to our parents. Vannessa was very friendly and helpful! She got us quickly checked in and on the road. The truck was clean and working and perfect for our needs. Called Machado to check in to see if we could have the truck a little longer than planned so we had time pick up some much-needed lunch. Told us "No problem!" Quick and easy return. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED with the service my husband and I received at machado. There was a homeless man sleeping in the hallway right outside our storage unit. I got scared when I went to take something out and saw the guy sitting there. I went to the office to see if the manager was aware and all he said was "yeah, we're aware." And my response was "well, are you guys going to do anything about it?" Unfortunately, they didn't do anything about it. Not a safe place for you or your personal belongings. read more

Maintained a storage unit for over 7 years at this place, always pay by check from my bank's bill pay service, but payment was never deposited this month and Machado claims it was never received, demanded copy of check front and back. Contacted my bank, check was never presented for payment, apparently lost by the recipient. Had to stop payment on check and fight with manager over the late charge they wanted me to pay for their negligence. Finally he agreed to 'waive' the charge and basically suggested I take my business somewhere else. I had left four messages on their phone, and he claimed to have called me back twice and phone just rang and rang...which can't happen, since message center picks up after the third ring; no message was left for me. Replacing the 'lost' check with cash and will continue to do so indefinitely now, since Machado refuses to accept EFT payments like every other 21st Century merchant does now. Cannot recommend this facility, especially in light of the other negative reviews posted here. read more

BEWARE, RENT ELSEWHERE!!! Got my reservation confirmation for a Uhaul rental at 4pm, arrived at 6 pm to pick up my truck and happened to be called by Uhaul at that moment saying the yard I was picking it up from (Machado Storage) hadn't had time to get the truck ready since I'd (supposedly) only booked it a minute before they closed. They claimed that I had reserved it at 4:59pm to avoid having to set it up for me! With my wife and I both tired getting prepared for a move, and a hungry baby in the car, we were beyond bummed that these guys decided to shirk their responsibilities after we'd driven 15 miles in traffic to get here. Luckily Uhaul made everything right by us, so we'll be going to another location for our truck. read more

A small storage facility with optional RV parking. The staff is nice enough to make this a pleasant enough established to take your business to, but nothing exceptional. They offer the standards as far as storage size options. Each unit is well kept from the elements. I used my unit for about 6 months, only visited the place twice, once to store my stuff and once to take out my stuff, both times an easy enough ordeal. They have the main gate open during business hours which was a bit concerning but they seem to have a guy checking to see if you truly belong there. Overall not the best and not the worst hence the 3 stars. read more

Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had! As if moving isn't stressful enough then to have this happen on the day of my move. I had scheduled and reserved a 20-foot truck a week and a half before my move everything was set someone even called me a couple of days ahead of time to say what time do you want to pick up the truck and I said what time do you open and she said 8 I said fine I'll pick it up at 8 so moving day comes I go to pick up the truck with my son there's no truck and we find out that we have to go somewhere else to get a truck. I was also told did someone call you the day before to tell you where you had to pick up your truck and I said no no one called me to tell me that I had to pick up my truck somewhere else. So they give us the address of where we have to pick up the truck we drive over there and they have no truck no 20-foot truck all they had was a 26-foot truck which is what we had to end up taking then we had to go back to the first location Macado storage to pick up the 8 wardrobe boxes that I purchased because they didn't fit in my car so we had to go get the truck from another location come back pick up the wardrobe Boxes by the time it was all said and done we didn't get back to the house to start loading the truck until 10:20! Two and a half hours wasted of my day on the day of my move! Don't ever put your trust in this company to get a truck on the day of your move it was a horrible experience the people were rude nasty they didn't give a s*** about what was going on then weren't willing to help us! Never go to this place for anything! If I could give zero stars or negative zero star's I would do it! read more

I have been using this storage facility for much longer than I expected...oh my gosh I just realized it has been 7 or 8 years now!! The staff has always been so kind to me and they take my payments over the phone without an extra fee as others do! This place is an older storage facility but let me tell you customer service goes a long, long way in my book! I have another storage unit at one of those new ones owned by one of the big companies and the rent is so much higher and keeps going up like crazy and the customer service is awful...just plain rude! I went to Machado Storage after my parents died to put their stuff in storage (yes I know I need to face reality and unload that stuff). The staff has always treated me so nice...with a sort of down home warm courtesy so even though they are not one of those newer facilities they keep it clean and secure and have awesome people working there so they get 5 glowing stars from me!! read more
