When you walk in, there is a kiosk to the right side and you can pick up orders to the left side. Sometimes when we are around this area, we see customers take their drinks outside and hang out. Always love to stop by Machi Machi to get some tea. They have many options: milk tea, fruit tea etc and toppings. The tea is rich and strong aroma. Not the cheap tea bags you have in the diner. They also have donuts, sandwiches, tanghulu (fruit covered in hardened sugar). All are very good. I have tried all of these over the years. Quick service. Usually there's no wait. It's a take-out place. You can order it by kiosk or at the counter. There are 3 seats with wall decorations if you wanna post for social media. Overall a good spot for tea and snacks. read more

We stopped by MM yo get some of our favorite drinks, tanghulu and egg sandwiches. There was no customer at the store but it was very clean and well maintained. After seeing all the viral hype around tanghulu, I figured there was no better place to try it than in Korea Town. This shop is located all the way at the end of the strip, so make sure not to miss it. I ordered the strawberry tanghulu from their digital kiosk, and it set me back almost $10 for just 5 strawberries! Service was quick--you hand them your ticket, and they hand you the treat. It's definitely a bit pricey, but was it worth it? I hate to admit it, but it was delicious. The sugary coating paired perfectly with the juicy strawberry. I saw that the boba spot from KTown opened up another spot in Fort Lee so I was super excited to try it, even though the rating on Yelp came in pretty low. It's about $8-10 for boba, which falls on the more expensive side. In KTown, it makes sense but in Fort Lee, I was definitely expecting something more. My drink was mediocre & the service does not match how expensive it is. It takes 10 mins for each drink to be made. I asked for a different drink and they responded rudely to my request. Machi Machi is centrally located in a popular section of Fort Lee. The storefront is sleek and inviting; uncluttered, with a simple array of direct-order kiosks and two countertops for ordering / picking up food. There are also a series of chairs inside (though without tables, so perhaps more for waiting?..) and a collection of tables / chairs right outside of the store. Their teas are very refreshing. Particularly if you order the lineup that's more 'simple' e.g. the Sun Moon Lake with regular ice / low sugar. Not cloyingly sweet or artificial tasting at all. Donuts are the somewhat typical mochi-style ones (very much in-line with the "mochi mochi kai sweets" ones they have down the road at mitsuwa). The donuts are expectedly pricey, at around $3.50 each, but of course decorated well and appear attractive. The egg sandwich was pretty stellar, in my mind. perhaps the hit of the store's offerings? I'd opt for the egg sandwich over the donut, if I was hungry and had to make a choice. Depending on how busy the store is, you may need to wait some while for the tea or food to be prepared - but not particularly bothersome, as there's other things to see / walk around towards within the plaza. read more

This was a SPLURGE but my curiosity got the best of me. Savory, white corn cream sitting on top of black milk tea with sweet corn kernels throughout - plus a sliver of roasted corn cob as a garnish. I thought it was worth it for a cold winter day and esp, the effort that probably went into making that. As far as the other drinks, they're a bit more simple (comes in unique packaging though). If their prices were more reasonable, I'd give it the full 5 stars. The drinks are almost $10 for a regular sized cup. This is pretty much a take-out concept shared by two other shops (corndog/ktoast joint and mochi donut shop). There are three kiosks - 2 dedicated to the food menu and 1 for the drinks which is Machi Machi. Horrible service, took 45 min to make 1 egg sandwich and there wasn't even a line. The sandwich had no meat even though I ordered the egg and bulgogi style and was mostly lettuce and toast, mind you the toast wasn't toasted all the way around either which led to a soggy bread at the bottom. The egg was perfectly cooked. Bread was excellent. I think they topped it with some Asian sweet Mayo. Coffee was great. Agree with first reviewer, price point may be slightly high but overall great.
