Always hits the spot! It's self serve for all the veggies, meats, and add-ins then you choose the spice level and dry vs soup at the register. The medium level is pretty spicy, so choose spice level wisely! Pricing is pretty fair-- I usually end up getting 1 lb of food including the meat and it comes out to around $17.

Tanghulu is a popular Chinese snack consisting of a skewer of fruits coated in a rock sugar. I love fruit and this treat took my love to another level. On the second floor of the Fort Lee Plaza Shopping Center, there's a restaurant called RaHongBu MaLaTang that sells it. Each skewer is $5 and they have a $10 credit card minimum. A bit pricey for 4-6 pieces of fruit but hey... what else is new in this economy? I chose the skewer with strawberries, green grapes, and orange. The rock sugar had a satisfying crunch and the fruits were refreshing and sweet. I came later in the evening so I didn't see any options with pineapples, blueberries, bananas, or kiwis. I will have to come back another time!

This spot is in a plaza filled with different shopping stores and restaurants. After having dinner somewhere else, I stopped here to try their tanghulu and will definitely be visiting again! The fruit tasted very fresh with nice crunchiness from the candied shell! It is pricey, each rod of fruit being $5. There is a $10 minimum if you use a debit card so definitely take some cash out. I had no choice but to buy 2 because of this but I definitely enjoyed trying different candied fruits. The mixed fruit came with mandarin, grapes and strawberries.

Have not had this type of hotpot experience since visiting Shanghai. Love it! -- ie the pick your mix of foods from bins in cooler cases, put it in a bowl, and then have it all cooked for you as either wet or dry hot pot thing. Great selection of soy products, funghi and noodles. They even have the cheese filled rice cakes! Would love to see more greens-- ie broccoli.l. The No spice option was great for my daughter and bland but tasty. Our mild spice option was all about the mala from the Sichuan peppercorns; a little more complexity would be nice, but overall really happy to have come across this place. We got our hot pots as take out; there are tables but the atmosphere is pretty basic.

If you're looking for tanghulu here is the spot. Located on the second floor, they feature the tanghulu right when you walk in. My first time trying this delicious Chinese dessert and I was 100% satisfied... the sweetness, the crunch... the fresh fruit!!! So happy I finally found a spot that carries these. The strawberry and red grape are my favorite. One or two of my fruits could have been coated more (some spots were missing with the tangerines) but I can't complain too much... I ate two sticks all by myself. Pricey at $5 a stick but with the price of fruit these days it's to be expected. There are cute photo spots on the walls and it looks clean and new.

Went to Rahongbu Malatang for some dry pot on a weeknight for dinner. It's in the same restaurant…read moreas Hong Chun Cheon, which serves dakgalbi. The dry pot here is similar to others, where you serve yourself from a raw bar, the ingredients are weighed, and they cook it for you to the spice level of your liking. I don't like that noodles are charged separately from the weight of the other ingredients (vegetables, fish cakes, meat, etc.) Because of this, i almost opted to order one of the dakgalbi dishes on the menu for Hong Chun Cheon. However, the prices listed on the menu are for one serving. When i tried to order, the lady at the counter explained I had to order two order minimum. So the real price for one order of cheese dakgalbi is $51.90, not $25.95. This was annoying because I was the only person who wanted dakgalbi, which mean i ended up not getting it. I did get my dry pot though. They make it spicy just like everyone else. At about $16 per pound with separate charges for noodles, it's slightly more expensive than other dry pot restaurants in the area. I eventually wanna come back for the dakgalbi, but I'm gonna need to make sure i have a partner beforehand.

If…read moreyou're getting mala, you can self-serve any ingredients you'd like - malatang was cheaper ($14.95/lb) than the dry pot version ($16.95/lb). There aren't too many options but still ample to make a delicious mala dish. I got the Malatang with the Medium level which was the best for me, although I was sniffling a bit towards the end. I think Mild is also a great option, as it was still flavorful with a slight heat. We had a bit of a wait on Friday night as expected but luckily, upon being seated it's just a matter of waiting for the kitchen to prepare your dish. They offered us complimentary sweet potato tempura on the house which helped curb our hunger in the meantime. There are only three people working front of house so please be patient!

I have easily finished two trays myself in one sitting. The fried rice dishes are a nice surprise too. They are not greasy and not overly salty, which I really appreciate. The hot and sour soup is on point and rounds out the meal perfectly. Service is quick, with most dishes coming out within 5 to 10 minutes, making it a great spot when you want something fast and satisfying. Just be warned, it is very easy to overdo it here.

Table was cleaned and we were set up very quickly, the server came to us immediately and took our drink order pretty quickly. We started off with the scallion pancakes which were great! I realized we got a lot of food so I made a list of what we got and how good it was. Herbal chicken soup - fantastic (10 stars as a soup lover it was delicious and hearty) General Tso's - more on the sweet than spicy side which is my preference but may not be everyone's (very crispy and good in my opinion if you value texture over spice it was great -4/5 stars) Beef with scallion - my fam loves scallions so it was absolutely delish, and I tried some and thought so too! (5/5 stars) Eggplant in garlic sauce - delicious, was cooked very well, a perfect balance of spices and texture. (6/5 stars ** it was very very good ) Roast pork fried rice - SO SO good as is a staple of most Chinese places I think. (4.5/5) Shrimp pan fried noodles - I'm allergic to seafood so I didn't have it but it was good (4/5) OF COURSE THE SOUP DUMPLINGS: I'll give the soup dumplings a 4/5 they were good, I haven't had any in Jersey I usually go to NY for soup dumplings so I think it's pretty good for here. I think the service was very good, they were very kind, very attentive, now that could be because we ordered half the menu idk - but *I*** think it's SUCH a great place where you really get a bang for your buck. I also want to say the portion sizes are LARGE we definitely ended up taking things to go just because we didn't expect to order so much and for the portions to be so large. I think I may have forgotten another dish or two but overall the food is really really good. Only qualm really was just the size of the restaurant (which they can't really help) wasn't too big. The ambiance was very nice - though I think my party was unfortunately a bit more boisterous than the rest of the people around, it's family friendly so any one of all ages can come and enjoy something. Saw plenty of parents with strollers, elderly people, and everyone in between like my group. It's pretty good vibes. Big portions, great food, good people, good vibes! I have to come back here sometime! I usually go to Fort Lee for Korean food but I think I've found a new place to hit up when I'm in town. Lovely lovely place!

The dining room was empty when we rocked up on a weekday late afternoon, and it was nice to sit at a table by the window for a street view. The staff was quick and efficient, and we got a super heavy tea pot of hot barley tea in no time. Food came out without delay. I love how theirs comes with loads of veggies, even as I question the use of green beans which is a first for me (to see them in sweet and sour pork). And while it was distracting and would rather have the dish without the beans, the star of the fish, the pork, was just right and we gobbled it up. I hope they stay open for a long time.
