Macho nacho is officially in my Morristown rotation. Great prices, tasty food, quick service and lots of seating. I tried the carnitas burrito and the macho nachos and both were flavorful and generous with the portions. I'll definitely be back to try the rest of the menu.

Wednesdays means buy one get one 50% off burrito special! The carne asada(steak) was a little dry, while the chicken was not overly memorable. Portions were plentiful with a nice balance between pinto beans and rice. The Macho Nacho(nachos) had a healthy portion of guacamole and was as delicious/greasy as ever. The dining room was quiet before closing, making this a great location to chat with your dining companion. Prices were reasonable. In "queso" you are still on the fence, dip into Macho Nacho for a try.

first off i have to say the torta's here are TO DIE for. the service was a 10/10 the people who work here are nice and the food comes out fast. the vibe of this store is welcoming and cozy. Not to mention the prices on the food here. Cheep prices for high quality amazing food.

The new location is way better than the original! I was aware of the drama surrounding their prior lease being terminated, and while I don't know the details, hopefully all's we'll that ends well. Same great tasty eats and inexpensive pricing. Make sure to get hot sauce and salsa to dress your food with.

A no-frills spot serving authentic Mexican food! You can order take out but there is a fairly large seating area inside which is where I opted to eat. The restaurant also has its own parking lot which is rare in Morristown. I placed my order at the front of the restaurant and my food was ready in a short amount of time. I opted for single orders of 3 different tacos (carnitas, carne asada, and chorizo/potato) and the small macho nachos. For the tacos, you can order 1 or 3 of each flavor. You also have the option of soft or hard shells. The nachos I ordered were "small" but it was definitely enough for 2 people to share! They come with guac and sour cream. The tacos were delicious and I would definitely order again. The nachos were good, but I would be okay with not getting again. Everything came out to about $15! Such a steal for a flavorful and filling lunch in this area. Other things to note -- I really liked that they have a standalone sink with soap and paper towels right next to the ordering counter. It means you don't have to go to the bathroom to wash your hands before and after eating. The womens bathroom was clean and nicely decorated.

Outstanding authentic affordable Mexican food. This place is definitely a hole in the wall but a great spot for lunch or dinner, great people watching as it brings in all kinds from local Latinos to the corporate types, a great mix of people. You can't go wrong with any of the burritos. read more

There is a reason why Macho Nacho is always busy, both for breakfast and dinner: it's fast, cheap and delicious! Macho Nacho is a bit of a hole-in-the-wall, but the food is outstanding. It's a great blend of authentic Mexican and approachable Tex-Mex, for those of you who aren't as adventurous. Their breakfast burritos are second to none in Morristown, and I particularly like the lengua tacos and burritos. Not many places carry lengua (beef tongue, for those of you not in the know) and I really appreciate that Macho Nacho does and that it's delicious as well. What truly shows the quality of the food at Macho Nacho is the variety of people you'll see at the counter: teenagers, business professionals, doctors, cops and everyone in between. read more

D E L I C I O U S ! ! ! Just finished a Colombian chorizo breakfast burrito and it rocked my world. This place is awesome! Super fresh food, homemade salsa (I recommend the chipotle) and very friendly service. And did I mention great price? Well the price was great. I would eat here just to reward the owners for coming up with a great restaurant name but they should also be rewarded for providing an awesome alternative to the chains. Viva Macho Nacho! read more

My crew and I went in for lunch when working in Morristown and it was excellent! ZERO Frills but very good food, and the green salsa was perfectly tangy. They were running a burrito special ($2 off the 2nd one) so what was an affordable menu became SUPER cheap. I had the carne asada burrito which was delicious. FAIR WARNING! This place gets very busy at lunch. Try to get there before noon to beat the rush (busy = good food though right?). Definitely will be back read more

Much more authentic/home cooked than most Mexican fast food restaurants. Tacos are fresh, burritos have good flavor and their fajitas are awesome. The fajita is a good size portion as well. If you order in it takes about 15 min to get the food brought out. Reason being they make everything fresh. read more

The ambiance is lacking (typical "hole in the wall" feel), but the food is good. It can get pretty packed at lunchtime, and apparently their tamales sell out quick, so get there early if you want a seat and a tamale. I concur with the fresh ingredients, but I did find the meat a bit greasy. I really want to try their breakfast burritos - sad that I live so far away! read more

Maybe my girlfriend and I went on an off night but I went in excited about this place and left a bit disappointed. A friend suggested I check it out (being new to the area and looking for some new go-to places) so I went to pick up a quick bite. I ordered two chicken tacos and was given a very bland dish. Chicken and shredded lettuce. That's it. No salsa? No guacamole or sour cream? I'll give it another try but so far I haven't been impressed. read more

Ever been walking the streets of Morristown after a night of drinkng and thought man i could go for a burrito. Well look no further Macho Nacho to the rescue open late around many bars with that said here goes my review. First off when you walk in the resturant reminds me of chinese resturant which isnt a bad thing just saying decor is sub par seating hard chairs bad tables but what do you care its a burrito joint. the food depending on what you get, the portions are great if you are a big guy such as myself youll be satified food tastes good very cheap which is always good for those on a budget. Overall if your out and about the town with your guys and gals and want something spicy and salty Macho Nacho is your best bet or those or those on a budget looking to get there fill without breaking the bank. read more

This place is my favorite go to place in Morristown. This place has a lot of regulars. The hours are awesome, so if you're looking for a late night meal chances are- this place is open. The menu is large, and has a great selection of breakfast, lunch, and dinner foods. There are daily specials- bogo 50% off, buy 3 get 1 tacos, etc. The servings are large and you can't go wrong for the price. People who work there are always very pleasant, and if they get to know you they take care of you (esp if you always leave a nice tip). My favorites are the ground beef nachos, fish taco, and the carnitas taco. read more

When I first started working in Morristown, I was visiting A different "Tex-Mex" restaurant very close by to Macho Nacho. That place doesn't have jalepeño peppers or real sour cream. I was confused. Then I happened up Macho Nacho... THANK GOD. Delicious food, jalepeño peppers and REAL SOUR CREAM. I go there nearly every day for lunch now. Simple and delicious. Not fancy. I don't need fancy. read more

I've been saying this for a long time but this is probably the best value in Morristown if you are looking for a quick, tasty bite. Unfortunately I come here at least every 2 weeks but it can't be beat with the price, portion size, taste and quickness of service. If you are looking for a fast casual Mexican spot, best place to go in Morristown for the price. Highly recommend the buffalo chicken burrito. read more

With all of the options for eating out in Morristown, this is my favorite! It's far from fancy - but the food is amazing!! I usually get fish tacos - the cod has a crispy coating and the sauces, lettuce and lime have just the right amount of acid and heat. Service is quick and the people are pleasant. Don't miss this hidden gem! Update Aug 2018: I reduced my rating from 5 stars to 4. I go there regularly and see they are cutting back on portions. My fish tacos used to have two pieces of fish and now it's only one small one that is smaller than the width of the taco shell. It still tastes good but they're being cheap! read more

Its an addiction not a choice. I need to re-up on my Macho Nacho every week or so. Carnitas are amazing. Generous portions for little $. Ask for the chicken noodle soup if they have it (hint: get an fried egg on top). You can also ask them to put firebird sauce on just about everything... if you like melting your face. Around key times there can be a line, but dont leave, it moves fast, and food is cooked to order, so you make sure you give your kid the ipad while you wait. read more

I love tacos, especially with freshly fried corn tortilla shells. And that's what I get at Macho Nacho. Fave so far is the carne asada taco which comes with very good guac and pico on top. This place is hidden in my now favorite group of stores. The liquor store next door is awesome as well as Top China. Now back to our regularly scheduled review....so macho nacho..kinda say it all. Except they also have great breakfast food. The nachos are huge portions, lots of filling, if you walk away hungry...IDK you have issues they have a nice selection of food. BYOB as always cause its NJ. I would swing in if you were looking to fill up on some yummy food on the cheap. Also a great choice for pre or post hangover. enjoy read more

I like specifically this Qdoba because the old people that use to work their where amazing but please please take the people the usually work their and ask them if they can teach how to serve the food, how talk with the customer and the amount of food that they have to put in a bowl!!!! Because this was terrible! I got to bowls few minutes ago one bowl more terrible than the other.

It was a Friday night and Lyla was packed. Diners looked satisfied, even thrilled, as colorful and aromatic dishes were delivered to their tables. My husband and I sat at the bar, which was a pleasure. We had lots of space in our own little universe surrounded by a lovely and even indulgent staff. At the prompting of our delightful server Khaled, we ordered the dandelion salad, something neither my husband nor I had ever tried before. It was a stunning appetizer, fragrant and clean and beautiful. Dandelion is definitely not an acquired taste. We loved it right off the bat. The greens sit in a rich and beautiful oil and garlic combination topped with crispy onions. The fattoush salad was splendid with just the right amount of sumac and mint. Another dish redolent and healthful and rich in flavor. The pita that's a hallmark of this particular salad was crispy and delicious. My spicy herb fish was a cod swimming in an absolutely delectable sauce consisting of tomato, cilantro, chili sauce, walnut and (definitely) red pepper. It was a revelation. Layers of flavor. My husband was presented with his Maqluba with a lot of fanfare, which was fitting given the quality of the dish. Maqluba, by the way, is a slow-cooked rice with chicken, eggplant and tomatoes. Paul (husband) reported it was excellent. I stole a sliver of his eggplant and relished every bite. Let me add that the aforementioned Khaled guided us along our dining trajectory with a winning combination of sweetness and skill. And a special mention must go to the restaurant's irrepressibly charming manager Charbel. This is a man utterly dedicated to your having a deeply rewarding dining experience. It's real for Charbel, this desire to make diners happy, and it's palpable. Again, a wonderful dinner in a restaurant that insists upon joy. Who can pass on that?

I loved the creamy hummus and the babaganoush. The cauliflower was the best I've ever had. Not sure what that sauce was, but I'd eat that on anything and everything. Entrees were 1 star. I ordered the filet - the meat was so dry and the rice was even worse. This was basically just a few cubes of dry meat and rice - no special presentation, no flavor. I'm not the best cook and TBH this looked and tasted like something I'd make myself :) I was with a large party and most of us agreed. Especially frustrating considering entrees are like $35-$40. A+++ for the absolutely gorgeous and classy vibes. It's a cozy and intimate space and they absolutely nailed the decor. This was fun for a girls night, and I could see it being a great spot for a date night too. Hopefully they can make some improvements. For a glass of wine and some apps on the patio I'd love to come back. But for now would avoid ordering any entrees.

We were able to walk up to the front and get our check immediately as well. Overall friendly and speedy. The inside is cute with a minimalist japanese aesthetic. Went here on Saturday to try some of their delicious looking nachos. Arrived around lunch time, surprisingly few people in line in front of me as I walked in. I got an order of the macho nachos with some extra salsas on the side. Service wasn't bad at all really, only had to wait a few minutes before they called me up. The macho nachos come loaded with a ton of cheese. Props to them for not using any of that fake crap by the way. The nachos did meet my expectations however I really did not like the steak they put in it. It had a very chewy almost rubber like texture and the taste was hardly noticeable against the other ingredients. I think next time I'll order mine without it, but for the price I still think this is a good place to grab yourself some cheap Mexican food. read more

Getting a fat girl to turn down nachos is quite a feat, but if anyone can do it, Macho Nacho can. I was brought here, quite willingly, by a friend who raved about the food and the prices. Blech! Just because something is cheap doesn't mean it's a good deal. Going here is kind of like buying shoes at Payless: yes it's cheap, but even with that you're not getting your money's worth. It's terrible. It's dirty. And the employees couldn't be ruder and cruder if they tried. Blech! Not worth the trip. Especially with a handful of real Mexican restaurants in town...in the same strip mall, even! How anyone could do this to themselves is astonishing. read more

Yes the portions are huge...but that doesn't mean its good. Bland. Bland, flavorless, stuff. Macho nacho is the best!!!!! Best burritos in Morristown, Hands down! The salsa they provide at the table is some of the best I have ever had. The selection of food is endless and the breakfast burritos are out of this world...especially if you are hung over. Staff is great, good drink selection....and after you eat your Mexican you can bring home a dozen fresh bagels that they make on site! read more
