Macho nacho is officially in my Morristown rotation. Great prices, tasty food, quick service and lots of seating. I tried the carnitas burrito and the macho nachos and both were flavorful and generous with the portions. I'll definitely be back to try the rest of the menu.

Wednesdays means buy one get one 50% off burrito special! The carne asada(steak) was a little dry, while the chicken was not overly memorable. Portions were plentiful with a nice balance between pinto beans and rice. The Macho Nacho(nachos) had a healthy portion of guacamole and was as delicious/greasy as ever. The dining room was quiet before closing, making this a great location to chat with your dining companion. Prices were reasonable. In "queso" you are still on the fence, dip into Macho Nacho for a try.

first off i have to say the torta's here are TO DIE for. the service was a 10/10 the people who work here are nice and the food comes out fast. the vibe of this store is welcoming and cozy. Not to mention the prices on the food here. Cheep prices for high quality amazing food.

The new location is way better than the original! I was aware of the drama surrounding their prior lease being terminated, and while I don't know the details, hopefully all's we'll that ends well. Same great tasty eats and inexpensive pricing. Make sure to get hot sauce and salsa to dress your food with.

A no-frills spot serving authentic Mexican food! You can order take out but there is a fairly large seating area inside which is where I opted to eat. The restaurant also has its own parking lot which is rare in Morristown. I placed my order at the front of the restaurant and my food was ready in a short amount of time. I opted for single orders of 3 different tacos (carnitas, carne asada, and chorizo/potato) and the small macho nachos. For the tacos, you can order 1 or 3 of each flavor. You also have the option of soft or hard shells. The nachos I ordered were "small" but it was definitely enough for 2 people to share! They come with guac and sour cream. The tacos were delicious and I would definitely order again. The nachos were good, but I would be okay with not getting again. Everything came out to about $15! Such a steal for a flavorful and filling lunch in this area. Other things to note -- I really liked that they have a standalone sink with soap and paper towels right next to the ordering counter. It means you don't have to go to the bathroom to wash your hands before and after eating. The womens bathroom was clean and nicely decorated.

Tasty, reasonably priced, excellent portion sizes. 5 stars and I hope they don't change they're formula. I also hope they are making a good buck themselves. A refreshing change from the common Morristown rip-off. A plate of huevos rancheros-2 eggs, fried sweet plantains, seasoned rice, refried beans and peppers and onions in salsa. Tortillas or a bagel, and a heaping tablespoon of sour cream. No meat. For just under 5 dollars. Served quickly; even brought to your table, by a young woman with a smile. Enough fuel to get you through the mid afternoon. Or you can go to Titos and pay more for bland food, and less of it. read more

I used to come here way more often when I actually lived in Morristown, but even still, I dream about it sometimes. Macho is easily 1000x better than Chipotle and the fraud joint Taco Truck next door. You just cant order a bad meal here. Some favorites include: the chicken burrito, Colombian chorizo burrito (breakfast), steak tacos, buffalo chicken quesadilla, and of course, the Macho Nacho. You can easily customize things as well; everyone here is really nice. Dont forget sauce - Im a die hard red sauce fan but the green is awesome too. Just get both, and a side of guacamole, for good measure. read more

Cheap and pretty good! Had their firebird burrito and a beef quesadilla, delicious. Firebird definitely lived up to its name. Weird atmosphere though, it reminds me of a pizza place with their seating that sells bagels and Mexican food. read more

from California here and know that the east coast is bleak when it comes to mexican food especially the taco shop style . well macho nacho IS THE REAL DEAL . Soooooo good !!!!! good food open late. are you starving without any hope of eating? look no farther. i have tried several items on the menu with friends (typically burritos, and tacos), and we generally have been pleased. the only thing to note is that refried beans come inside the burritos. if you don't want it, you should ask. other than that, it's affordable, clean, the menu is extensive, and the portions are generous. read more

Macho is one of my most frequent visits. Not cause its a life changing experience or anything but cause I love Mexican food, its close to me and the price is right. Service is quick and after a day on the road, its a good spot to grab some take out before settling in for the evening. The Torta sandwiches are a fav of mine as the tacos. Def keep an eye on the daily specials for a good deal. read more

I still love Macho Nacho. Just wanted to update and let everyone know that Taco Tuesday is an Amazing deal. And the Macho Nachos are hands down the best we have ever had.. and we've had a lot of different nachos. My husband and I get 3 meals out of 2 orders of tacos on tuesdays (8 tacos) and macho nachos. I wish they'd change their name because every time I recommend Macho Nacho to someone, they laugh. Well, the food and the prices are not something to laugh at. Excellent no frills Mexican hole in the wall with low prices and large portions. Their pork tamales have a huge bone in pork meat and are generously sized. Their tacos are cheap and filling. Everything about this place feels authentic and unpretentious. Will be coming back to try their burritos and other menu items. read more

Shredded beef & sliced chicken tacos with guac & diced tomatoes were good. Place was dirty. Service was bad. Cashier charged us 75 cents higher than menu price for each set of tacos & argued she did not. Our receipt reflected the price difference! My finance went there about twenty times & did not have an issue. Then the tacos came out with barely any guac! Maybe they are now cutting corners with the ingredients? Macho nacho is cheap and yummy! Make sure you come hungry cause the burritos are huge. The burritos and parking are better than Titos. I normally get the Dulce Carnitas burrito which is pork, rice and plantains. It is a perfect blend of sweet and salty and of course I add sour cream. The guac is decent. My boyfriend always gets the cheesesteak burrito with the hot sauce. I recommend this if you are looking for takeout mexican. read more

Delicious and incredible value for your dollar. I get the chorizo quesadilla about once a week because I just can't stay away. It's so big I can never finish it in one sitting. Had the burrito with steak chicken and chorizo along with a bottle of water came to almost $10. A bit steep for the quality of food IMO. Didn't really taste the chorizo and overall the burrito was relatively bland. Portion size was good and the service was pretty quick. read more

It was a Friday night and Lyla was packed. Diners looked satisfied, even thrilled, as colorful and aromatic dishes were delivered to their tables. My husband and I sat at the bar, which was a pleasure. We had lots of space in our own little universe surrounded by a lovely and even indulgent staff. At the prompting of our delightful server Khaled, we ordered the dandelion salad, something neither my husband nor I had ever tried before. It was a stunning appetizer, fragrant and clean and beautiful. Dandelion is definitely not an acquired taste. We loved it right off the bat. The greens sit in a rich and beautiful oil and garlic combination topped with crispy onions. The fattoush salad was splendid with just the right amount of sumac and mint. Another dish redolent and healthful and rich in flavor. The pita that's a hallmark of this particular salad was crispy and delicious. My spicy herb fish was a cod swimming in an absolutely delectable sauce consisting of tomato, cilantro, chili sauce, walnut and (definitely) red pepper. It was a revelation. Layers of flavor. My husband was presented with his Maqluba with a lot of fanfare, which was fitting given the quality of the dish. Maqluba, by the way, is a slow-cooked rice with chicken, eggplant and tomatoes. Paul (husband) reported it was excellent. I stole a sliver of his eggplant and relished every bite. Let me add that the aforementioned Khaled guided us along our dining trajectory with a winning combination of sweetness and skill. And a special mention must go to the restaurant's irrepressibly charming manager Charbel. This is a man utterly dedicated to your having a deeply rewarding dining experience. It's real for Charbel, this desire to make diners happy, and it's palpable. Again, a wonderful dinner in a restaurant that insists upon joy. Who can pass on that?

But it took a lifetime just to even get ice for a drink, which was then served to us in a steaming hot glass. They also forgot to bring out one of our dishes. Apps stole the show. I loved the creamy hummus and the babaganoush. The cauliflower was the best I've ever had. Not sure what that sauce was, but I'd eat that on anything and everything. Entrees were 1 star. I ordered the filet - the meat was so dry and the rice was even worse. This was basically just a few cubes of dry meat and rice - no special presentation, no flavor. I'm not the best cook and TBH this looked and tasted like something I'd make myself :) I was with a large party and most of us agreed. Especially frustrating considering entrees are like $35-$40. A+++ for the absolutely gorgeous and classy vibes. It's a cozy and intimate space and they absolutely nailed the decor. This was fun for a girls night, and I could see it being a great spot for a date night too. Hopefully they can make some improvements. For a glass of wine and some apps on the patio I'd love to come back. But for now would avoid ordering any entrees.

You can tell the time and care put into this broth because it's fantastic, super layered but not too heavy. Beef tataki wasn't my favorite but I added some of their chili oil and that elevated it a TON. the chili oil here has an amazing flavor and a fantastic addition to any dish. If they sold that id buy it for home. Service was fast, order taken the moment we decided and our app came out about 3 minutes later. The ramen took another 5 minutes and then came out steaming. We were able to walk up to the front and get our check immediately as well. Overall friendly and speedy. The inside is cute with a minimalist japanese aesthetic. The kitchen is pretty on view so you can see you're sushi or ramen being prepped. Overall great find and if i'm in the area again i'll be back!

Even on a rainy Thursday night the place was packed, which says a lot, but we were seated immediately. Service was quick, friendly, and efficient the whole time. I also loved the ambiance of the place. There's something about it that feels very communal, and it was cool being able to watch the sushi chefs and the rest of the team at work. This will definitely become one of my staples in Morristown!

Nutella - There was an excessive amount of Nutella here and it worked out well with the hot donut texture. It was unreal. Cannoli - This was great too. Verrilli is a charming, hole in the wall bakery with a cozy interior. Although seating is limited inside, they will have a lot of outdoor seating when summer rolls around. There is a small parking lot out front, but may need to street park when it gets busy. The owner is incredibly warm and welcoming. Getting to the highlight: the potato donuts!! They also have other small desserts like cannoli, cookies, biscotti, and pizza, burgers, fries - all freshly homemade. Anyway, ordered the cinnamon sugar and butter glaze donut, (fresh and best enjoyed hot) and it was so light, fluffy, and not overly sweet!Looking to try their other donuts on the menu! Note: Owner mentioned this is BYOB! And can mix and match donut toppings!

Went here on Saturday to try some of their delicious looking nachos. Arrived around lunch time, surprisingly few people in line in front of me as I walked in. I got an order of the macho nachos with some extra salsas on the side. Service wasn't bad at all really, only had to wait a few minutes before they called me up. The macho nachos come loaded with a ton of cheese. Props to them for not using any of that fake crap by the way. The nachos did meet my expectations however I really did not like the steak they put in it. It had a very chewy almost rubber like texture and the taste was hardly noticeable against the other ingredients. I think next time I'll order mine without it, but for the price I still think this is a good place to grab yourself some cheap Mexican food. read more

Getting a fat girl to turn down nachos is quite a feat, but if anyone can do it, Macho Nacho can. I was brought here, quite willingly, by a friend who raved about the food and the prices. Blech! Just because something is cheap doesn't mean it's a good deal. Going here is kind of like buying shoes at Payless: yes it's cheap, but even with that you're not getting your money's worth. It's terrible. It's dirty. And the employees couldn't be ruder and cruder if they tried. Blech! Not worth the trip. Especially with a handful of real Mexican restaurants in town...in the same strip mall, even! How anyone could do this to themselves is astonishing. read more

This place is God-Awful. Has anyone who reviewed this place ever been to Mexico? A Mexican restaurant, even? And I don't mean Taco Bell. Yes, if you're comparing it to that, its great. Yes the portions are huge...but that doesn't mean its good. Bland. Bland, flavorless, stuff. If burying the food in hot sauce is your thing, this is your place, because if you're not masking the flavor, it's not worth eating...even at these prices! read more

Macho nacho is the best!!!!! Best burritos in Morristown, Hands down! The salsa they provide at the table is some of the best I have ever had. The selection of food is endless and the breakfast burritos are out of this world...especially if you are hung over. Staff is great, good drink selection....and after you eat your Mexican you can bring home a dozen fresh bagels that they make on site! read more
