I had a terrible experience. I paid for a door in May 2025 costing $2850. The door was not received until August 2025 and the company couldn't get the door installed until September 2025. I waited a lengthy time only for the door to have major imperfections. Scratches were on the door and the panel was scared up. It did not look like it was worth the cost. The door came with a battery powered keypad and a key turn lock that had only one key that did not work with the lock. I went back and forth trying to reach Don, which was a waste of time because he didn't answer my phone calls and office personnel didn't answer but when I inquired about getting the door, responses were super fast and everyone was very pleasant. Don only started responding to me when I spoke to Bruce about him avoiding my calls. Don responded with nothing but excuses. We went back and forth for weeks about getting touch up paint and keys to fit the door and I still didn't get a remedy. I had the worst experience ever. I would caution anyone using The Window Source. What you pay for might not be what you get and there are extensive wait times. Customer service is not great. I will say Bruce was nice and empathetic. The good thing that came out of this ordeal was I got my money back after requesting it. Nothing could be disputed and Don knew the door and my experience were a flop and bad business. read more

You can tell a lot about a window company by how well it handles the sale and installation process. You can tell more when an issue comes up and it needs to be handled. Bottom line is that Window Source has done exceptional on both. We needed 21 windows on our house in 2022 for windows that were original. Ended up getting 9000-series windows because they were highly competitive from a price point with Andersen and others. Bruce C did a fantastic job explaining the windows, keeping us informed, and providing insight into what windows made sense for the house. He and his team coordinated a phased, efficient install, working around having to shuffle the cat around to minimize disruptions. The install was done in a little over a day, and we could quickly tell how much more temperature control we had in the house. Two years later we noticed a minor issue where a window clip had two screws missing; we had just packed and moved all of the items out of the house so getting screwdrivers weren't an option. I called Window Source and one of their project managers (a different Bruce) told me he would be able to swing by. Within an hour of the call, he was able to get in, check on the window clip, fix another minor issue, and explain to me a more efficient way to close the windows that didn't require pushing hard on the top sash. June 2015 We had new windows put in the first part of March. Now that it's been 2 months after installation we continue to be impressed. With our old windows, I didn't open the south curtains in the big picture window, for the afternoon. Now, I can open them in the morning and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Then in the evening, I had to close our bedroom west curtains, because the bedroom would get too hot. Now they stay open all day long! We got the 9000 series because we wanted white inside, beige outside. Our old windows had a broken seal in the double pane. I didn't realize we could save so much in the heat coming in. And the new windows silence a lot of outside noise. The train is nearly silent, where previously we hear it more frequently. We are very excited about our new windows! The price was very economical and the quality of the window is the highest. These windows are guaranteed for the lifetime of the homeowner, no matter how they break or are damaged. Obviously not to intentionally break the windows.... The Window Source is a national company and stand by their windows. They will transfer the lifetime warranty to a second homeowner. We live in a house built in 1991 and had 10 windows replaced. The new windows in our home are amazing. I didn't care about double or single-hung, but now I understand how much nicer it is to have them be double-hung. We had two old casement windows side by side, in our bedroom and the mull in the middle was removed. It was replaced with one slider window. It is very nice. We also had two side-by side, single-hung windows that were also replaced with a slider, after removing the mull in the middle. We had two picture windows in the breakfast room and we replaced one of them with a slider. It is really nice to have a big window that opens now! The price difference between the 6000 and 9000 was only a little in cost and we got a much better window along with it! When I shop, I like to get good value. The Window Source has good quality. I didn't want to pay for new windows, which is why we waited 13 years to do this. I didn't know that the windows could be as good insulation as the walls. It really is true! I would have just paid for the cheapest window, if we didn't need different colors inside and out. I think it was very worth the little extra money that we paid. We got quotes from five different window companies. There was a range of $6,000. The Window Source was in the lower range of the quotes, so I paid less money and also got very good quality windows. The Window Source's windows were just as good of quality as the most expensive windows. I did not realize my old windows were heating up our house so much until Don showed me their windows with Argon Gas inside. Most of the windows made now have Argon Gas inside. I wouldn't go back now that I know it exists. We moved in 13 years ago and the seal was broken between the double pane in many windows . I was also tired of our wooden windows sticking and not opening. They would always have moisture between the two panes of glass, when the weather changed outside. These vinyl windows open very smoothly and of course do not have a moisture problem! It is also very convenient to open the windows and clean them on both sides. They are very clear and crisp. I didn't understand how everything would fit together or look, for them to remove our old windows, and put in the new ones. But now I see how the new windows just look like they belong and like they came with the house. They caulked between the frame and the new window. That helped it look natural. On the South Side of our house, we have 2 rooms that would get really hot, but now I can open the curtains in the morning and the rooms are the same temperature as the rest of the house, all day long. It really is great! The new windows also help dampen sound from outside A LOT more than the original windows. I guess I want everyone to have these good windows. It really is worth the money! It really is. Then along with a great price to purchase and install them, the E-Score evaluator came and approved everything and we get $25 a window back!
