Both had a spicey punch and the guacamole was good enough that I would have drunk it straight if I'd had a cup or two. So it was a little frustrating to look at this spectacular salsa and realize that without it the arepa was more task than joy. Why not serve the arepa with the salsa already mixed in? Or marinate the meat in the salsa? And each arepa was over $10. It was packed generously and I was more full than I expected once I was done, but I couldn't help thinking that for that price I could have had 6 al pastor street tacos and been far more full and FAR more satisfied.
