I was searching around for a reputable body shop as everyone knows, it's better to have one and not need it, than to need it and not have one. I called around for a few places but the caveats were, timing and quality, not to mention price. Usually you can only get two of the latter with the other being sacrificed. I found First Performance through a Google Search and I'll admit, at first I wasn't sure since I haven't heard of this place and I've been around the automotive world for well over a decade. However, I wanted to give them a call. First time I called, Ms. Slim picked up and she was extremely friendly and informative, asked me to drop the car off on an upcoming Friday just to get what I wanted done examined. Unfortunately, I couldn't make it that day so the following Monday I called again and someone else picked up the phone and told me to stop by after 9:00 AM. Let me preface and tell you this was the week of Thanksgiving, so imagine the backlog on this. I showed up promptly at 9:15 AM, walked in and was greeted by two gentlemen, I wasn't sure of the other guy's name but the one who I spoke with his name is Jerry. Jerry in facts runs the place along with Ms. Slim and he came outside and listened to what I was asking for and his professionalism, engaging personality and knowledge really put me at ease knowing that my vehicle would be in good hands. Not to mention, this car was fairly new to me, and it wasn't meant to be out on the roads in colder weather just due to performance summer tires. Regardless, he was able to squeeze me in within an hour or so, and I was patiently waiting at that point. The following day, I received a call from Jerry directly indicating my car was finished. I know he mentioned it would be "likely" done prior to Thanksgiving, however I was very understanding with the holidays that anything could come up, and I didn't expect a business to drop all their work just to work on my car. I doubt they did, but know Jerry and his team did help me out with this. I showed up later that evening, saw Ms. Slim, Jerry and their team and was presented my car. Literally perfect, I couldn't have asked for a better turnaround, overall experience and price to match it all. The paint, which is very difficult to match (tri coat metallic pearl), was done flawlessly. The end results, speak for themselves. I will be referring any and all to this shop as they've earned my business tenfold. Thank you Jerry, Ms. Slim and FPAB team!

I had used Westmont Body Werks for repairs on another Mercedes previously. I knew the quality and the caliber of work that they do, so when my insurance company suggested another "run of the mill " place nearby, I suggested Westmont Body Werks to them and they agreed. My contact was Bret, and from day one he communicated what stage the car was in, what the insurance company approved, when it was being painted and when it was anticipated to be finished. Not that I wanted them, but I even got "work in progress" pictures of my baby all torn apart. And when I finally got the call that my car was ready for pick up (it took about 6 weeks all in from insurance approval to pick up)- other than the paint smell, the car was detailed, shiny and new just like the day I picked it up at the dealer. I am a bit of a perfectionist and Westmont Body Werks has met my high standards both times I've had to use them. Hope you never need a body shop. Given the extensive damage and costs (about 70% of value of the car), I'm literally shocked that everything went back the way it did and that the car looks so good. I'm sure it's phantom limb syndrome but it actually feels like it drives better than when I first got it. I guess 3 months in a rental will do that to you;) I've had a couple returns for minor stuff and they have handled each visit with open arms. Jason was my rep and did a great job. Even their front desk person (name escapes me) is a delight, and their weekend guy who got me my car was a real pro. I was warned they take their time, but they admit it and wrap that in quality and finish. It was worth it. During a mid-repair visit, Jason gave me a full tour, showed me my vehicle with the entire engine out, and explained process, timing, and next steps. I had a moments thought of giving them 4/5 stars, which I think is still great, but they've given me zero reason to do that. I hope this thing holds together!!

Upon installation, it was clear they'd done a great job when I saw that the new bumper matched perfectly.
