Over the past 7 years I worked with this vendor for 3 of my cars. The first time he did a rear bumper for my Honda, then worked on a small front accident on my BMW. And last month he helped with my front fender on my Toyota. His prices are so good that for small work like scratched bumpers and fenders it does not make sense to go to insurance and pay $500 - $1000 deductible. The best part is that he can match any paint color. So he find the part on excellent price, or fix your bumpers, then he can match your car color and installs it for 1/3 of what a body shop would charge you! Just amazing! March 19, 2026. Thursday. I would heed all the warnings and one star reviews for this business. Dealing with Chicago Auto Body Parts has been a complete and total nightmare. I ordered a 2012 Toyota Camry hood and driver's side headlight for $819.46, for some minor maintenance. It is now Friday, April 24, 26 business days later, and these parts have still not been delivered. That's five weeks I have waited so far. On their website, it says, "shipping estimate for painted parts: 7 - 10 business days". On Tuesday, April 14, I received an email from them that stated, "The order is estimated to ship in the next week and a half. Our paint department is experiencing a delay due to high order volume. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause." Since this shipping date was way longer than quoted on their website, I asked for a partial refund. I received this curt response, "We are not able to process a refund for the order." So, for making me, their customer, wait an additional 16 days (and the items still haven't arrived) there is no refund or any accountability on this company's end. I am very worried that when the hood arrives it won't be an exact match on the paint color. That is based on other Yelp reviews on this company that I've read. horrible experience the mirror that I had ordered wasn't even the right mirror. It was missing the blinker on it, which is pretty easy to do when you don't even put the right VIN number in or whatever they did to give me the wrong mirror from another model. The paint color was absolutely not the right paint color and was definitely easy to have matched. This place is garbage I had to dispute all this with my credit card company. They will not return one of your phone calls at all or do anything with refunds. They are absolutely a horrible, horrible company. read more

I ordered a part a month ago and I've never received the part. I've called multiple times and nobody ever answers, I've emailed to cancel the order and never get a response. I've even filed a dispute with my CC company and they don't respond. They are either a fraudulent company or maybe they are just out of business now? I've tried CONTACTING this company 169 TIMES via phone, plus multiple emails and return forms. Most of the time, no one picks up, and when they do, they either transfer you to a manager WHO NEVER ANSWERS or stop responding altogether. They sent me the wrong part, even though their website said it was compatible. When I tried to return it, they IGNORED every return form. Management eventually got on the phone and was RUDE, DISMISSIVE, and even CUSSED at me. They constantly SHIFT BLAME onto the CUSTOMER and deny issues that are clearly their responsibility. It gets worse. I ended up paying for a shipping label myself, returned the item, and it was delivered and signed for. Even after that, nearly a MONTH went by and they still REFUSED to issue a refund. I contacted them MULTIPLE TIMES again by phone and email asking for my money back, and they completely IGNORED me. At that point, I had no choice but to take it up with my BANK to get my money back. HORRIBLE!!!! Waited 1.5 months for a fender for my RAM 2500. Once it showed up it was packaged it thin bubble wrap with a couple pieces of scrap cardboard taped to it. As soon as I saw the packaging I knew it was not going to be in good shape. As I suspected it was creased, bent and paint was peeling. Submitted a damage product report to them and have not heard back. Giving them 2 more days then will begin the processes of disputing it through my CC. The wait time for this order was very long. The part I received is not the greatest quality. The paint quality is unacceptable, and the part arrived scratched and cracked, with paint sprayed over the damage instead of being properly repaired. The edges of the part are not clean, and the paint work around the edges is very noticeable. You can clearly see issues around where the tabs are located as well. Additionally, there are four holes that require plugs, even though my car does not have sensors. Since they have my VIN number, this should have been identified before the part was sent. CABP kept great email notifications about where each processing stage was. Time was no issue for me but it was a little over a month from online purchase to my home. The part delivered did not have sensor holes, even though the item ordered and paid for was specifically the version with sensor holes. This was confirmed by both a professional body shop and Lexus technicians. Because of their fulfillment error, I was forced to purchase the correct grille from another supplier, which caused significant delays and additional costs. The grille alone cost $500, and this order was part of a much larger purchase with multiple parts. I provided all requested photos and documentation multiple times. Despite this, the company continues to ignore my emails and phone calls. There appears to be only one person handling returns, who was unprofessional and used inappropriate language during communication. I was repeatedly hung up on or unable to reach anyone else. Emails go unanswered. This is not a complicated issue -- the part they sent does not match the part number ordered. We selected them because they had the best priced items, but had we seen all the bad reviews, we would have went somewhere else. It took 5 weeks for parts we ordered to be shipped (almost 2X the 3 weeks they advertise), and when the parts arrived, they were damaged. This could have been from the separate shipping company, but when we reached out for a claim, they responded with unhelpful 1 liners or not at all. It took spending countless hours on the phone to find out that the shipping company destroyed the parts (cheaper to claim them vs. ship back), but Chicago Auto Body still didn't respond. I've written ~10 emails and called about ~20 times, and there has been *no* offer to refund, resolve, or help with situation. They have just stopped responding. We did speak with Maria, who did her best to be helpful (thank you for trying!), but not being part of the Claims department (which doesn't answer the phone + rarely answers emails), there's a limit to what others can do. Now we've been left with no car for 2 months and no recourse aside from a stopped payment via our credit card company. The company either does not invest enough in claims / returns or simply doesn't care if customers are unsatisfied. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. THE LOWER PRICE IS NOT WORTH IT. --- P.S. Everything you read is probably true. This company should not be in business on the internet. They just do not know how to do it. Ordered a right-hand outside mirror. Four weeks later they shipped. On arrival, I noticed it was a left-hand outside mirror. No worries, mistakes happen. I took a picture and filed a claim expecting (hoping) for a quick response. Silence. After a week I called. The lady who answered said it was difficult to tell if the paint mismatched??? What? it was the wrong f'n part. They found the claim but asked for pictures of the shipping box. Of course I saved it and it clearly stated left hand mirror. They would not start on the replacement until the original was received back (another week). I tracked the return so I know it was received still, no communication. I was told I would be at the head of the line. Pffft! Two weeks later I sent an email. Crickets. I had to call to get traction. Got a fender and front bumper from these guys for my BMW and though the fender came out great, the front bumper came out horrible and they didn't even have complete paint coverage on the sides and the front. I sent several emails with detailed pictures and offered video of the paint that literally showed primer speckled with black paint and it seemed they were going to possibly take care of it. Then suddenly, all communication halted, so I called and spoke to their 'general manager' Alex. He said the bumper they painted they possibly didn't paint and that I could have damaged my car again and had someone else paint it. Really? I paid $629 for this bumper, plus another $452 for the fender, and now have to pay another $400 or so to get it re-painted. Horrible paint-work, horrible customer service, not enough attention to detail. Don't waste your time doing business with these clowns. They put out shoddy work and don't back it up. Better off paying more for much better results. The last thing Alex (the general manager) said to me was he suggested I don't do business with them again.
