Hot honey sandwich was crushed by my son, hubby got the roast beef sandwich with au jus and crushed it, I got the Mac's Rueben which is one of the best ever. Cute little dive bar that had a surprisingly big lunch crowd on a rainy Saturday. Service was very good. One waitress covering too many tables... but she made it work. The food was just OK. The boneless chicken wings were not fried, breaded or wing-like. They were grilled chicken breasts diced into cubes with a dip in buffalo sauce. Chicken fingers/chicken wings are a staple in a place like this. I really wasn't expecting them to botch it. But they did. I won't be back. But give it a try for yourself. read more

Came in , Sunday August 23, with our kids for a lunch after visiting Tina's This and That. From Tina's, we had coffees that were just about done and a wrapped blueberry muffin for one of the kids. When we were seated by the hostess, the bartender, a plump older red head, came to our table and immediately said that outside food and beverage was not allowed.....she did not greet us or offer any other exchange. We told her that one coffee was done and that we would put the othet items away. She then lumbered back to her hero lair at the bar and frequently looked disapprovingly at our table and continued with loud, laughing, obnoxious banter, jokes including light profanity, and voluble cackling with a few of the presumably regular bar customers. Needless to say we felt very unwelcome. What a nasty experience. Our server, Melissa, however, was very kind. Food 10/10 For bar food. Too bad we will never come back to this establishment. read more

I ordered a chicken cutlet expecting a freshly cooked meal, but what I got was clearly a frozen, pre-cooked chicken patty. Very disappointed in Mac's customer service tonight. Met a few friends to watch the soccer game. It was not busy. There was no wait. Seemed fine for a Monday night. I was standing behind the stools at the bar in front of an empty table. Since i was going to order food, i went to the front and asked the hostess if i could sit at the table to order food since i was standing at the bar and not sitting at the bar. She said she had to check with the manager because they are very strict about not seating a full 6 people at the hightop. No problem. She went to check and was going to let me know. I went back to the area where the rest of us were watching the game. The hostess came over and said i would have to close my tab at the bar and order through the waitress. Again, no problem... she walked away and came back shortly after and slammed a place mat on the table and said the waitress would be over soon. About 10 minutes later the waitress came over and took my order. Chicken finger basket with fries, boneless buffalo wings and a beer. She asked if it was just for me or anyone else since there was just one place setting. I said one of the orders is for my husband. She brought over another place setting. Besides the hostess being rude, everything was fine. She said it would take a little time cause they were busy. Then time kept passing. 5 minutes before the game was over, 50 minutes after placing the order, i told the waitress to cancel my order. By this time the place was pretty much dead and somehow the table next to me go their full order that they placed after me. Sorry but dropping some chicken into the frier does not take that long. They were appetizers.... Shame on you Mac's. It will be a long while before i go back and thats pretty sad cause we go often. Or at least Went often. I asked if i could sit at a table. I ordered food and a drink. There was no one waiting for a table that i was keeping from being filled. Absolutely uncalled for treatment tonight. read more

Heartless and Disappointing We were deeply hurt by this restaurant's refusal to accommodate our party of five on New Year's Eve . We were told they will only seat parties of four or six. A table for six would leave one seat empty which is not allowed because " every seat must be filled ." Pulling an extra chair over to a table for four would "make it too crowded." What makes this especially painful is that our fifth guest is a recently widowed woman who has been a loyal patron for years, dining here often with her late husband and continuing to visit on her own . This New Year's Eve was meant to be a supportive , comforting evening for her with friends. Instead of showing any compassion Mac's chose to prioritize numbers over people . Being turned away under these circumstances felt cold and unkind. We will take our business elsewhere and won't be returning . read more

Great place between Brick and Toms River to meet up with a friend and have a drink and something to eat. Haven't been here in quite a while and was impressed on the sheer number of seats inside and out. Bar help was quick, responsive, and friendly as were the servers who never seemed to be outside of range of polite and friendly service. Food is pretty solid and the beer selection was good as well. Parking is easy at least during the evening when most of the other businesses were closed and there are ample seats outside as well. Definitely worth a return trip. read more

If you're looking for a local pub vibe this is the place. Menu is good, but not a huge offering and very affordable. They have a decent about if beer in drafts, including local beer. Long bar area so you can always find a spot to sit at. They have entertainment during the week like trivia & bingo and live music the weekend nights. The burger and fries were good, they definitely cook it to order, mid rare doesn't come out medium, dripping blood. I'd recommend upgrading from chips to fries. read more

My friend kept Telling me we had to try the mussels at Macs. The sauce was absolutely so delicious. Had an amazing hamburger. Very good quality of beef. Juicy. Other people in our party had overcooked fish and chips and burned eggplant. Our waitress was very good and personable. She made us feel Welcomed and provided good service. Came here fore a Sunday afternoon lunch. Ordered a beer, and a standard burger. Lettuce, tomato, onions, and mayo. The bun was perfect, no sogginess, and the mayo came on the side. Their Old Bay fries were good as well. They have friendly staff, atmosphere was okay as it was a Sunday, and not a Saturday night. I'd like to come back during a busier time. Being a local we frequent Macs often. Maybe too often. The staff is very friendly (never understaffed) and the food is very good, always consistent. For a local Irish pub, the mussels are absolutely amazing, for sure the best I have ever had. The Irish egg rolls are also very good, as well as the pub sandwich and burgers. Drinks are served within minutes and the bartenders are always making sure you have what you need as well as making sure you are comfortable. Weekends they have live music, acoustic so not very loud, the bands are ok, some better then others, but still nice to listen/watch when you want background music. Would definitely recommend giving McIntyre's a try, you won't be disappointed. read more

If you don't want specific political views imposed on you when you're having a beer and watching a game, don't come here. I went here a ton back at the old location and seemingly under different mgmt; now if you're sitting at the bar your view is of a $100 bill with Trump's picture on it directly under the tvs. I don't ever recall going to a sports bar where the customers are forced to look at a specific presidential candidate or even political views generally, and that's not what I want when I'm just trying to have a beer. The bartender with the red hair is absolutely terrible. She has no customer service skills and is extremely rude!

This is by far the most best awesome restaurant you can go to! The food is just delicious you could never be disappointed. The service is amazing and waiters are very attentive. Great ambiance too!
