I am so happy that I chose to go to Mac's! I got quotes from a few places around town and Mac's was by far the best ($250 for ceramic tint on my Ford Focus). But the lower price does not mean lower quality. Mac did a great job, along with Mariana (I hope I got her name right!). Mariana was very nice to deal with, both when making the appointment over the phone and when I came in. She was so friendly and funny and, after I told her this was my first car and therefore my first time ever doing this, she helped me choose what was best for me. She even let me look inside her personal vehicle to see what the tint would look like from inside. The waiting room is very small but has seating and some magazines, as well as a TV that Mariana offered for me to use. I brought a book and didn't use the TV, but that was a nice option to have! I was very impressed with Mac as well. He started working on my vehicle right away, and it was done right around the time frame Mariana had promised (about two hours). Mac even had me come in the back while he was working on the back windshield, to explain to me what the tint would look like based on the tight curve of that particular window. I really appreciated that he took the time to make sure I was okay with his technique and that I knew and understood what it would look like. Mac seems to really care about doing a great job, not just getting you in and out of there quickly. I got the sense that he sees each vehicle not just as a car, but as an extension of the owner. Meaning that I felt he cared for ME, not just for my car. It's one thing for someone to do good work but another for them to do it with care. I really appreciated that. My windows look great, and I can't wait to see what they look like when they're fully cured! I will definitely be coming back to Mac's for any future tint needs. read more

We took our 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan into Mac for a tint. We had just purchased a wheelchair accessible van for our 10 year old special needs son who is extremely sensitive to sun light. We were having just the driver side and passenger side windows tinted and a glare strip put on, the back windows are factory tinted and were ok for now. We were quoted an extremely fair price so we made an appointment for a Saturday to get it done. They were fast and friendly, Mac's front office staff, Marianna, is extremely knowledgeable and courteous! When we went to pick it up Marianna informed us they couldn't get the tint exactly how we wanted so as a courtesy Mac upgraded our tint and even tinted 2 extra back windows for us at no additional cost! I will refer Mac and his staff to anyone that asks and will definitely be bringing future business to them! They definitely want to make sure you are happy with the job that they did! i rarely write a review but this place and the people working over there is the best! when i walk in to their place yesterday they just explain already what they're going to do. i choose the ceramic window tint. marianna and mac is so nice and so is the other guy (sorry didn't know his name). mac told me it will be ready on 2 hours but damn like after an hour marianna just call me and it says i was ready. at first i was afraid it won't be good a quality cuz i though they rush it, but i was wrong. it really looks so good on my car! and they explain what's the do's and don't for the first month. i'm really glad i bought them my car. it's very rare to have a good quality and customer service. i really recommend this place to anyone who wants to have perfect quality service and good customer service. read more

They ensure you have the proper tint if you're from out of state California. They're efficient and the product is great. I have a 2013 Audi and shopped around on pricing and the type of tint the shops recommended due to the fact that I didn't want any issues with the quality of work, or the type of tint installed. Wow this place is great! They did my windows about a year ago and last month a rock popped up while driving in the bay area and broke my driver side front window:-( Needless to say the window even though it shattered, stayed in place because of the high quality tint rather than all the glass falling in my lap on the freeway. I was able to drive more then 100 miles home and get the window fixed and retinted. Mac and his associates are very professional and quick and use the best tint. Horrible!!!! STAY AWAY!!! I went to this gentleman's shop; Mac's Window Tint, located on Vassar Avenue. By far one of the worse experiences I've ever had as a customer. The first issue with this gentleman is the lack of customer service skills, he cannot control a situation in which he did low quality work and take responsibility for the work. He did, however, charge full price for a job that was done wrong. The window tint has air bubbles all over, and he will not fix it. His warranty means nothing. Good luck spending time and money trying. He blames his employees for the bad work, band he will not stand behind it. When I showed up, before I had seen the car, he knew the quality of his workmanship was less than desired. I figured, because he called the police within 45 seconds of me arriving at the shop. His excuse was, he did not want to release the car because the registration read someone else's name on it. He wanted the registered owner to pick up the car (BTW the registered owner is my 18 yo son. He figured he can push a teenager around). As if he has any authority to decide who drives a car and how it can be registered. He did not want to write out a receipt at first, until the police, who he had called, asked him to. Now, 3 days later, the tint is bubbling up even more. He claims that it's a hit and miss procedure. Do yourselves a favor, go elsewhere. Don't risk a bad experience and losing money to this shop. read more

I went to Mac's to check out the place and maybe schedule my car to have it tinted. I believe it was April 11, 2014. Mac talked to me for a few minutes about how he takes care of his customers. He was nice and I scheduled my car to have it tinted on April 19, 2014. The day came and I went in early. The girl that takes care of appointments forgot to schedule me that day. She acknowledged that I made the appointment one week before and that she just forgot and she' s sorry. She acted like its no big deal.
