I feel desperate writing a review for a big box corporation like Macy's, but I have to say that I really received great treatment and service here recently. It's Macy's so I won't bother you with why I was there, (who cares), But, I will come back to the men's suit department next time I'm in need. The lady with the English accent was very very helpful. It took me almost 3 hours but I left with a great suit, (on sale), and a proud feeling (buyer's pride??) Go to Macy's for their sales. Avoid being a consumer drone at all other times. read more

Stella, working in the men's suit department yesterday, was incredible. She genuinely took her time to help us, taking into consideration our desired price range AND style AND color preference! She gave us opinions on suits as if her OWN family member were to wear it. I sincerely appreciated her input and was impressed by her knowledge of the department. Other times that I have visited this Macy's, associates have physically taken me (and not just vaguely directed me) to the location of a particular brand. I enjoy going to this Macy's because I am sure that, based off my experiences, I will be able to find what I am looking for here. read more

I am late with this review but I finally have time to give some much needed praise to two ladies in the accessories/ purse department. Ms. Christine and Ms. Leslie! I usually love shopping here, but yesterday I was absolutely disappointed in the 3 women who were working at the Estée Lauder counter. After checking with other make up counters who were busy, I asked if they had anyone available to do make up. I was told I needed an appointment. All 3 were just talking with no customers around their counters. I asked, "You have no appointments right now, but I still need to make an appointment? They said yes. Clearly they did not want to help me. I went down the mall to Sephora (who were legitimately booked). Every make up chair was being used for makeovers, yet one of their cosmetologists on the sales floor went out of her way to help me. I spent nearly $100 on make up in Sephora. About a half hour later, I walk through Macy's to get to my car & guess who are STILL doing nothing but talking? Again...no one working with customers for make up appointments but they wouldn't help me. Thank you pregnant Estée Lauder Rep and your 2 counterparts who were working around 2:30-3:30 on 1/26/19. If you want to truly appreciate the Macy's in NYC, go to the one in Lakseside. Whenever I visit the Big Apple, I spend at least an hour (which is a lot for me) In the Macy's at Herald Square. It is an amazing store, reflective of the bustle of the city, and filled with great merchandise from clothes to watches etc. But Macy's Lakeside is so disappointing. The men's clothing selection is abysmal. I have no idea who the buyers are buying for. Even the sizing is ridic. They have only even sizes, and, as those who know me well can attest, I'm odd. Housewares is the only department that is halfway decent. Oh well. At least my trips to Herald Square will be something to look forward to. read more

This is the Macy's that is located in Lakeside Mall. It's fairly new, very nice on the inside, pretty big in size and they have a good bit of merchandise in every department. In my experience, the cashiers are nice and quick and the sales are not the best, but that's at every Macy's. It's easy to navigate the inside of the store and they have a huge shoe dept and they also have an Electronics Vending Machine that sells everything from Apple iPods, iPhones, cell phones, accessories, etc. Pretty nifty if you ask me! The only thing I am not a fan of is that fact that you can virtually NEVER get a parking spot in front of Macy's. I always have to park by Dillard for JCPenney and walk over there. Other than that, I'm a pretty big fan, and compared to the one at Esplanade, this is the better of the two, hands down. read more

Okay, maybe everyone else had a positive experience because they were spending money. I had ordered some shoes and purses online and went to return the ones I did not want to keep, and I couldn't believe the customer service reps. I first went to the closest customer service desk and was told that I have to go to the respective departments to return the products. The reason? So that they wouldn't have to walk the products over to the other departments. It clearly says on the packing sheet/receipt that any store associate can handle the return. It does not say that you must go to multiple departments if you bought shoes and purses. I pointed this to the first rep I went to and she still refused to process the return. Then I went to the shoe department, where they only took the shoe back and told me to go upstairs. I went upstairs and waited for two customers in front of me. Then I was met with hostility again. An associate saying to another,"Do we take purses?" They were about to send me away again when I said that I had been to three different desks, at which time the associate who seemed to be the head of the department said, "just take it. We won't send her on another chase." Her staff then were clearly unhappy at the thought of having to take the purses to the purse department, which on my way down the escalator i saw was downstairs, which made me wonder why the shoe department lady didn't tell me to just go there, or why she couldn't just walk the purses over FIVE FREAKIN FEET. i understand they have work to do but seriously?! I have no desire to go to this store ever again. read more

This is the best Macy's in the state of LA and I know this bc I have moved all around the state due to my husbands career. Whoever is the purchaser for their merchandise is amazing. They always have their displays looking amazing and stay on top of the hottest styles and name brands. This store i am afraid to enter bc Im afraid i will spend all my money lol read more

I was a big fan and a regular of Macy's when the store was in New Orleans. Shopping for bedding for a new bed for a new house caused me to go to Macy's in Jefferson Parish. Located in the Lakeside Shopping Center this was my first visit since before the failure of the federal levee system in 2005. There are so many changes from what I remembered and the new parking garage was nice. Lucked out in finding a parking slot on a very busy weekend just across from the Macy's entrance on the second floor. Spent some time going from mattress to mattress lying down and finding what is good for my body. Was assisted by a young lady named Darnise who was both knowledgeable and attentive and that was so nice. And in visiting other areas in the store the personnel was all ready to assist you in shopping. The kind of service that I was accusstomed to years ago and that seems to have been lost in the modern era. Only negative being that delivery of the purchase is scheduled for a month from now. Not nice but necessary to wait. read more

I went to the Lancome counter at Macy's Lakeside Mall and said that I wanted to purchase something before the promotion ended.There was a promotion that if one bought $35 worth of merchandise they received a gift set. The lady at the counter named Samira, knew that I was already interested in purchasing something. Although she did not have any other customers, she didn't help us find anything. I had to read the promotion, and even request help, but she was unfriendly and seem bothered with me. So, I tried on some lipstick on the top of my hand to see the color on me and she told me I was not supposed to do that and that it was expensive and took it away from me all upset. I then left politely, even thanked her, although I was upset. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANY MAKE-UP from that Macy's again. I thought I would receive help since I told her that I was not used to buying make-up but came prepared to do so. Instead she humiliated me in front of others who were with me. I wear a headscarf and I do not know if this was offensive to the salesperson because when trying to make small talk she made it clear she was not interested in engaging me. read more

Typical Macy's. Don't expect too much out of the employees at any Macy's in the US. This one isn't any different. The really, really bad thing about this location is the crappiness of the teeny, tiny elevator. Got a big stroller? Well be prepared to stand in line and wait untill the elevator clears out. Might take a good ten minutes. On a weekend? Take a twenty break. But on a great note they have family bathrooms on EVERY floor! Yay! read more

Their shoe department has the worst customer service I've ever experienced. They had a 50% off sale and charged my friend and I full price and then they refused to reverse the charge unless I "came in". Just call HQ if you ever experience this same problem. read more

As Macy's go, this one is pretty nice. It's not going to change your life or anything. This store is not exceptionally large and has a limited selection accordingly. There is ample friendly staff on hand and I have found them to be very helpful. It's a great option if you need, well, a department store in the New Orleans area. read more

Can't say too much about the sales people because I didn't need any help. I am always happy with the selection of items. Went here with 2 teenagers looking for homecoming dresses. Left with 2 dresses and happy teens! Doesn't get much better than that. Love macy's! read more

The girl at the register was very rude and sarcastic to me. I asked her if she could scan my coupon and very rudely she replied "can I scan your items first?" I thought she already scanned the items.. don't know why she was taking her dear sweet time. I had 3 tops. There could have been better polite ways to answer my question. Her tone rubbed me the wrong way and now I have no desire to shop there again if their associates are going to be sarcastic little b**tches. Lousy customer service. read more
